Zehel Dragonov: The Last Elder Dragon
Gender: Male
Actual Age: 578
Appearance Age: 25
Birthday: January 12th, 1433
Race: Elder Dragon
Alignment: Neutral
Powers: Zehel proves to be quite the overwhelming adversary with his enhanced senses and physical capabilities; his sense of sight, smell and hearing are spectacular, as is his speed, strength, durability, stamina, and agility. He can further his physical standings through partial transformation into his dragon form, whether it be bringing out his wings or tail, or releasing his claws. He can also revert to his full dragon form, which unleashes his full capabilities. As a member of the dragon clan, and of the Elder Dragons, he can emit intense flames from his body, though mainly from his mouth, as well as having the to fly, and relatively fast, at that. His thick skin is as strong as steel and is immune to many magical attacks, as mentioned in dragon lore.
Abilities: Zehel is immune to aging after reaching the age of 25, the peak physical condition. This makes him immortal, though he can still be killed through certain means. The dragon has a means of seeing the world in a different way, giving him the ability to analyze situations relatively fast and see through illusions, which is all a part of his vast intelligence. He also has a fair level of regenerative ability. He is a cold-blooded creature that possesses his own heat source, making him immune to the affects of most dire weather and temperature conditions.
Weapons: Taking advantage of his superb sight, Zehel carries with him two .40 Glock 23 handguns that he keeps concealed on his person at all times. He is a wonderful marksman who rarely misses his target. Aside from his guns, he only uses his body to combat any enemies. He is equipped with large claws, razor sharp teeth, great wings, and a powerful tail.
Goals: To live forever and to experience everything life has to offer, and more; that is aspiration of Zehel. With his kinsmen gone, he wants to live for himself and fully learn and understand the world and all of its mysteries. To live, laugh, and love…He desires the simplest of things from life, hoping to live for all of the dragons that died in his place. Once he is knowledgeable of all there is to know, he wishes to settle down with a woman he can spend eternity getting to know.
Personality: Most would describe Zehel as a tortured and complex soul. His past has brought about a complete hatred towards humans, which hunted his race without rest, and even killed all of the Elder Dragons. Whenever he comes in contact with a human, he is consumed with rage, and it takes his entire being to refrain from ripping them to shreds. Aside from his deep hate for humanity, the dragon is a rather cold person, preferring his own company a majority of the time. He finds most species boring, for they are ignorant and have such a narrow view of the world. If he can find someone that holds his interests, though, he can become a much more lively being. Despite this, he loves to hold intellectual conversations, for he is quite intelligent, having lived for centuries and acquiring a vast knowledge of the world. Beneath that cold, hard exterior, though, lays a man with a good heart and an unfaltering will. The dragon is a fearless and courageous creature, though he is wise and cautious. He is also kind and caring, though he does not wish to portray such a weak image.
Interests: The little pleasures in life are what keep Zehel going. He is interested in a great deal of things, such as reading and writing, which he takes great pride in. He absolutely loves to learn and broaden his horizon, and he enjoys chronicling his experiences and thoughts. Aside from his literature, he loves to travel and meet interesting people, for he rarely encounters those who perk his curiosity. Mastering and experiencing new things is a big part of his life, for he aspires to be a well rounded individual in all aspects.
Pet Peeves: Zehel despises hypocrites, liars, and ignorant people most of all, which may have stemmed from his hatred of humans, which tend to be the embodiment of those three aspects. Other than that, he hates seeing violence done onto women, and rude and inconsiderate people, in general.
Flaws: The outer personality that Zehel portrays may come off as callused and cold, or without emotion, which tends to fend people off. This, of course is his own folly, due to his minor superiority complex mixed in with a lack of interest in most people he meets. Other problems, such as over confidence and underestimating others also stems from his ways of thinking, which can hinder him in battle. Following the lore with most dragons, his stomach is a tremendous weak point in his strong defenses, having virtually no protection, unlike the rest of his body which is masked in “scales.” Ice can also hinder the dragon to a degree.
Biography: There once were a clan of dragons who referred to as the Elder Dragons; beings that transcended the boundaries of an ordinary dragon. These were the oldest living dragons, and they possessed mighty power. They were wise and magnanimous, and they were a force to be feared and admired. Fear, though, can change a person and cause them to do horrible things…
Zehel Dragonov was the last child to be born of the Elder Dragon tribe. He was destined to be king of his kind, or so he was told. As a member of this prestigious clan of dragons, he was gifted with immense power, as well as limitless talent. The boy was taught everything he could learn, acting as a sponge, absorbing all of the knowledge and teachings of his beloved predecessors. He loved his kinsmen very much, and he was so proud of his heritage. To him, nothing was more important than his family and the teachings of the Elder Dragsons, and he would do his best to become a fitting leader for his people. It was a good life, for a time. Everyone was happy, and life was a peaceful bliss. All good things must come to and end, though, and that is what befell the magnificent race.
The Elder Dragons were aware of the humans that hunted their kind, either killing them or taming them like beasts. They were not afraid of the frail human race, though, for the dragons felt invincible, which they virtually were. But, everything has a weakness, and their weaknesses were exploited…While Zehel was on a journey to travel his homeland, his kinsmen were attacked in the dead of night. The Elder Dragons were careless of where and how they slept, and the hunters took advantage of that. It was a night shrouded in darkness of the starless sky. With their frail weapons, the warriors gashed and stabbed into the soft underbellies of the dragons, ripping through their bodies and massacring every last one. Zehel returned to find the bodies of his beloved family brutally mutilated and hacked to pieces. He could do nothing but fall into a spiral of sadness.
Rage filled the dragon’s heart, completely consuming him and dictating his actions. In this fit of fury, Zehel wiped out the human civilization that populated his homeland. Without mercy or regret, the man killed and killed, until there was nothing left. Soon, he was all alone, with nothing but the stained blood of the race he utterly despised with his entire being. He was lost, confused, and mortified, and he would stay in that condition for a century, repenting his sins in solitude.
For all the lives he had taken, and for the lives of his people that he could not save, Zehel decided to live for the sake of living, so that he may experience what the victimized souls couldn’t. He made a promise to himself to enjoy life and become a dragon worthy of the title of being the last Elder Dragon. And so, he has spent the remainder of his days traveling the world and learning everything he possibly can, offering up his existence to the world to teach him everything and anything.
