 Tongxing had been waiting every day at the Wei Kun Lian restaurant, ever since the day he found out he was pregnant.
Something had happened with the magic and had caused some of those in the area to magically, seemingly randomly become pregnant. Even some of the males. Tongxing was one of them.
He had already 'given birth' to his egg, and it had to be cut out of him. Fortunately, it didn't really hurt, although it had left a scar. It was a very beautiful egg, and he hoped desperately that the other parent was male as well, because whoever it was had to be just as beautiful. They made one beautiful child, it was certain that any other children would be just as beautiful, and Tong really didn't want to have children with a girl.
So every day he waited at the Wei Kun Lian, looking for someone who looked like his egg. And it looked like his patience had finally paid off. As he walked in today, it was hard not to notice a pale green long, with the same spirals that was patterned on his egg! And the best part was that this long was a boy! He approached the long and casually sat at the table he was sitting at.
"Did you hear about that recent fiasco that happened near here, those long magically getting pregnant? Caused quite a stir."

Qian was about to take a bite out of his steam bun when a Long walked up and sat down at his table. Startled, he blinked a bit, before putting down the bun, wondering what the Long wanted.
For a girl, this long was... actually really pretty. Too bad he fancied the opposite gender more.
"Pregnant... Longs?" he blinked, not understanding what she was trying to get at. "What about?"

"Oh, so you hadn't heard? Some magic went haywire a while ago, bunch of long got pregnant without actually, well, you know. Weirdest part, even some of the male long got pregnant."
Tong only ordered a green tea from the waitress, he was too nervous to eat. What did this long think of him? Surely he was the egg's other father, but what if he rejected Tong? He would just have to lead in easy.
"Stirred up a looooot of trouble."

Nodding slightly, Qian sipped his tea, not really understanding what the other Long was saying, but didn't want to seem rude.
The part about male longs becoming pregnant was... intriguing though. He didn't think he himself was pregnant. That... seemed weird, and he'd probably be able to tell if he was. But how... would that work? The concept of pregnancy totally escaped him. It was more a girl thing anyways. But how would the males feel about that? It seemed pretty weird...
Qian seemed lost in thought, trying to understand the concept while he stared into his cup of tea, brows furrowed.
"You don't say..." he murmured. "Do you... happen to know any male longs that have gotten pregnant?"
It seemed interesting to him. Maybe he could ask some of the other longs to see if anything else strange happened.

Tong flushed slightly before answering, light blue cheeks turning almost white. It was still a little embarrassing to think that he got pregnant. Without all the fun of getting pregnant, too.
"B-believe it or not, I was one of the male long that got pregnant."
He felt really weird talking about it, but he had to stick around until the conversation turned toward his egg. Their egg. Tong flushed again at this thought. It was weird to have had a baby with someone he'd never met. But at least he was handsome. Tong stole a furitave, sidelong look at the long sitting next to him.
"It was the weirdest feeling in the world. Though, this might be a weird thing to talk about over a meal, sorry."
Finally the waitress brought his tea and he buried his snout in the cup, immediately regretting the decision as he burned his nose.

Tong's comment made him choke on his tea, causing him to splutter and spray into the cup, splashing himself in the face.
The water stung his eyes, and he quickly lifted his face out of the cup, wiping away the excess tea from his face with a paw.
WaitwaitwhatthisLongisaMALE?!
Blinking in pain, he stared at the other Long, who seemed to be trying her-HIS best to avoid his gaze.
Come to think of it, as he analyzed this Long more, despite some obvious feminine features, he DID have somewhat of a masculine build, and his voice WAS a bit deeper than a female...
Realizing the Long was trying to have a discussion, Qian flustered and quickly apologized, not realizing he was staring the whole time.
"Oh, n-no, I'm sorry I brought it up in the first place. I... ah... um, how did it feel?"
As soon as the words left his mouth, he wanted to smack himself.
Why would he ask how it FELT? How insensitive could he get?
He was pretty sure if he was speaking to a female long, he'd get a slap across the face with a tail.

"Oh my god, I don't know how women do it. I really don't. I could hardly move, my stomach was so big, and I only had one in there. Though don't ask me where the egg actually was, I still don't know how it got there. The doctors had to cut it out of me, which was still easier than how most women do it. Seriously, whole new respect for women that do this."
Tong had noticed that his companion was staring, and the tea spluttering hadn't gone unnoticed either. Finally comfortable being around this other long, he giggled rather flirtily.
"Yes, I am a boy. Don't worry, hardly anyone sees it at first."
Tong waved down a nearby waitress and asked for some dumplings. If his companion was going to eat, he might as well too.
"My name is Tongxing, by the way."

He could only stare dumb-founded as he explained the process... of being pregnant. Pregnancy was WAY beyond him, and from the way the other Long was explaining it, it sounded quite painful.
"I-I... I'm sorry to hear that..." he replied, not knowing what to say.
He flustered slightly when the other Long giggled, dismissing his foolish mistake. This Long was... really something. He felt heat rush to his face as he started to realize how attractive the other Long was starting to look.
"S-sorry..." he apologized lamely, mentally kicking himself for not realizing it in the first place, even though HE himself preferred the same gender also. How in the world was he still able to confuse males with females? He should of had that down by now.
Seeing the other order food, Qian picked up his steam bun again and bit into it. It wasn't hot anymore, but still retained some warmth, and he chewed happily, glad he could finally fill his empty stomach.
"Oh, my name is Qian Luu Lan," he replied, chewing between each bite. "It's nice to meet you, Tongxing. You can call me Qian for short"

"Don't be sorry. The process sucks, but now I have a beautiful egg." Tong almost added that the egg looked like Qian, but the time wasn't quite right just yet. "I love that egg more than anything. It's a horrible process, but it's completely worth it." A warm smile spread across his face.
"Like I said, don't worry about it. It's a common mistake. Pretty much everyone I meet thinks I'm a girl." Tong giggled once more. "I kind of like it though, at least I get to be pretty, don't you agree, Qian~?" Tong made sure to say the name in his most flirtatious tone, and batted his long eyelashes at his attractive companion. "You can call me Tong for short, if you like~"
Tong had decided that he would at least try and flirt with this handsome long before telling him about the egg, so if he did take off, at least Tong could get some fun out of it.

Qian smiled.
"Of course you would. After all the effort put into it." Tong seemed to really like the egg, and it almost made him curious to ask, but was afraid but crossing boundaries. Maybe... if they talked more, he'd be willing to show him. Was it possible a egg could really be THAT beautiful? Again, it seemed like something females would appreciate more.
Tong's flirtatious comment caught him off guard though, and he flustered again as Tong batted his eyelashes at him. He... really was pretty.
"Y-yah," he replied, not knowing what to say. "It.... really was nice to meet you Tong."

A small smile spread across Tong's snout. "It's not just the effort, y'know? It's my egg, and that makes everything so much more special." He paused to let his heart fill with love for this egg, even though he didn't (100%, he couldn't be positive yet, even though he was really sure) know the father, it was HIS egg, and it was the most beautiful thing because of that.
And then Qian said that it was nice meeting him, and Tong completely misunderstood.
When people said Nice to meet you, that meant the conversation was over. It was said like a good bye, and that meant Qian didn't want him around anymore.
Tong's face fell a little, and he stood up uncomfortably. He didn't know what he'd said to make Qian want him to leave so suddenly, he thought it was going well himself.
"Oh... well, it was nice to meet you too." He slowly started shuffling away.
