Where smaller personal fishing boats parkOn the seaPartright Ports are known for their cruise liners, shishing boats, and ferries.
Most students and tourists come to Partright and Adell by boat.
Be sure to try some of the seafood around here! You can't ask for any fresher at a great price!
Some restaurants might trade lunch for a battle, or to show the owner a specific pokemon!
(Pokemon wanted for show: Vulpix, Shinx, bulbasuar, altaria, glamoew, feraligator, bayleaf, arcanine, or growleth)
There's a rod shop to rent and buy rods! A bit expensive... I might just want to rent them.
(old rod holds up to 30lbs before the line breaks, good rod holds up to 70lbs and can sink somewhat, great rods can hold up to 105lbs and can go right to the bottom if weights are attached)

 Lydia had taken the advice she received at the start of the day at town square. She'd spent the day trailing beside the waterway that would serve as their racetrack. Only after walking beside it did she realize how long of a run it really was, and now at the port where she looked out to try seeing the turn point. "There's no way Crash can swim all that way," She said in a hushed and tired voice. "But then again, he does have a lot of energy," she laughed. A loud thump was heard as a trash can fell over. "Huh?" she looked over, seeing nothing at first; then a wiggle. She walked over slowly to investigate, unsure of what to expect and all together wary. "Hello?" She called with a shaky voice. A little pokemon tumbled out, and Lydia jumped in surprise. Covered in grime and small from hunger, "It's so... Cute." she stared at it a while before braving to go near. "Hey, are you okay?" It called up in a tired tone. "Oh, if you're hungry, I have this apple I saved from the ride over here," She dug into her pocket to pull out the fruit. The little pokemon sniffed at the air, unmovable until it realized that it was being offered something to eat. Plu! It shot up at ate vigorously. Plu plu! It said happily before jumping up on Lydia with gratitude. "Hey, no problem!" She laughed, tickled by the pokemon. "Now, hold still so I can clean you up a bit," She pulled up a cloth to wipe its face. "You're so cute!" She chuckled. Plu plu! It snuggled up to her. "I know who you are. You're a Plusle, aren't you?" Plu plu! "Well, how about we go to the pokemon center and get some more food? Then maybe you can join my team with Crash and Erin," She doted on the thought of having such a cute pokemon on her team. Pluh! It agreed. "Alright! It's a deal! I've got a new plusle! Welcome to the family, Brite." Pluh pluh!

 ~Ray Sepulveda~ Ray walked around the port, and as he passed the ships, he saw one with a golden front. It was a picture of a Mew with it's arms spread out. It was absolutely beautiful, but Ray had no idea what it was, or why he was so interested in it, but as he just shrugged it off and continued walking. He became a bit nostalgic of his own past back on Cinnibar, however came upon one of the sea food resuraunts in the area. He grinned ever so slightly and was excited to go see what they had to offer. He called back his pokemon for the time being and entered hoping to be seated. He sat around and waited to be directed to a seat and was later shown to a booth seat with a table. Ray was excited to see the different food offered as he had a taste for seafood. The waiter came by with a smile and asked. "Hello, can I start you off with anything to drink?" As Ray looked up he said. "Yes please, Arnold Palmer." he smiled back as the waiter handed him the menu and he began looking through it. Rather indecisive about what he'd choose, he realized how high everything was priced. Ray didn't want to spend most of his money just at a resturaunt, so he looked around sweatdropping wanting to get up and leave, but he'd feel bad after he was just assisted by a waiter.
After a little while, Ray just sat there and tinkered with some of the games on his phone, the waiter came back with the drink. "Now what will you be having today sir?" Ray smiled politely and began speaking a little nervously. "I'm...I don't mean to be rude sir, but the prices here were a little bit....higher than I was prepared to pay, maybe I could come again some other time and-" the waiter cut him off. "I am so sorry to hear that sir, however this resuraunt has a bit of a special policy! You see, we can have a pokemon battle, and if you win the battle, we will let you eat here with no charge, what do you say?" Taken by surprise, Ray shook his head for a moment thinking the man was crazy, however a free meal did sound pretty good for the exchange of a simple battle. Ray was ready to try his luck with battling outside of his own class, so he turned to face the Waiter and stood up. "I accept the battle! Let's go!" The waiter with a smile nodded, he then turned around and walked back, and faced Ray again. Ray stepped up from the booth seat he was sitting on and joined the waiter toward the center of the resturaunt, which surprisingly, there was a space to battle set up for pokemon. "Do you guys um....normally do this?" Ray asked sweatdropping.
"Why of course, every now and then we get pokemon trainers here in our resturaunt, and we allow them to battle for a free meal, and as our pokemon become stronger our offer becomes more difficult to succeed. It provides great entertainment for the guest, now wouldn't you agree?" he asked with a grin. Ray nodded and smirked. "You bet! So let's get this show on the road!" he said prepared. The waiter nodded, then took two pokeballs from his pocket. "Very good, I am your Waiter Fred, and I will be serving your battle today, starting with Wingull, and Remorraid!" he said as he tossed the two pokeballs. They both hit the ground, and a Wingull, a small seagull pokkemon with long folded wings that soon spread, and the pokemon took flight, the other was a fish that floated similarly to Carvanha. One looked like a flying type, and the other a fish type.....rather a water type. Ray sweatdropped at the lame waiter comment his opponent made. He looked at the waiter odd and noticed he tossed out two pokemon instead of the traiditional one for a quick single battle. "Why are you using two? Isn't that against the rules?" he asked. The Waiter smirked. "You must be a student at the nearby Phoenix Acedemy, my grandfather attended that school when he knew nothing of pokemon, he became a master." Ray squinted. "I don't know "nothing" about pokemon, I'm just still getting used to some of the battle styles..." The Waiter smirked and continued. "Well now, looks like you need more of Battle Strategy Class, just go ahead and release your two pokemon for battle, or you'll forfeit the match and have to pay full price for your meal" Ray became shocked at the waiter insinuating he was still going to stick around to eat as he was going to leave in the first place, but taking heed to the Waiter's word, he took two pokeballs. He didn't want to use Rover because he was a fire type, so he released the pokeballs and announced his pokemon. "Let's go! Metapod, and Tropius!" he shouted. Metapod made an appearence first. As soon as he did the group watching began laughing at Ray's choice of pokemon, but the moment Tropius took his place, the crowd stopped in awe of the rare pokemon sitting before them. Ray nodded, and the Waiter didn't hesitate to make a move. "Go! Wingull use water gun, and you too Remmoraid!" the Waiter shouted.
Ray remembered in his class that water was weak against grass, so obviously this particular opponent wasn't on top of type advantages. "Metapod, and Tropius, both of you target the Remmoraid, Metapod with Tackle! Tropius with Gust!" he shouted. The water guns were directed at each of the pokemon, Metapod, and Tropius both, however both took light damage to both, and as Ray said, Tropius began flapping his leave-like wings creating a powerful gust of wind around remmoraid, unfortanutely his level was relatively higher, so it didn't do too much, but then it was topped by the Metapod managed to move itself, and going straight into Remmoraid it landed a successful hit weakening the pokemon. "Quick Remmoraid, water gun again, at Tropius, and Wingull, use gust on Metapod!" the waiter commanded, the Remorraid released another water gun, doing very little damage to Tropius, however Wingull began preparing another strong gust of wind, and released it to Metapod. "Metapod! Quick use harden!" Ray shouted. "Meta.....pod" The Metapod mumbled as it harden as if it were metal for a moment, with timing the Metapod managed to surpress the powerful gust by remaining unmoved, however still taking the supereffective damage. "Tropius! Gust on Remmoraid! Now!" he shouted "Tropius!" The pokemon responded creating another gust of wind at the remmoraid. Ray's pokemon surely wouldn't hold much more, however he stayed firm. "Alright now-" he was cut off immediately by the waiter once more. "Quick! Repeat your attacks! His pokemon are getting weaker!" he shouted.
"Metapod! Stop Wingull by using string shot!" he shouted. "Meta....PODPODPODPOD!" Metapod shouted as it shot out the sticky substance from the top encasing the Wingull as it's gust was being created. Tropis created a gust as the Remmoraid released another water gun, hitting Tropius again, except critically, Tropius became weak but still summoned the gust knocking the Remmoraid back. "Wingull, peck your way through! Release yourself at once!" the Waiter shouted. Ray shot out his hand with a pokeball. "Tropius come back!" he said making a quick exchange. "Alright! Let's go Carvanha!" he said taking his Carvanha's pokeball and releasing it. The Wingull made it out of the string shot, and went right over Metapod. "Now use peck on the bug pokemon" the Waiter demanded. "WINGULL!" the Waiter's Wingull responded in understanding, it dove into the air, than down going straight for Metapod. "Metapod! Quick! Harden Again!" Metapod immediately stiffened itself once again, and as the Wingull made contact it hit hard, and backed up from the pressure it put on itself in hitting Metapod which had turned extremely rough. Metapod still took the damage. "Remmoraid, finished off the Metapod as well!" the Waiter ordered. Remorraid released the water Gun, and with little will left, Metapod hung on. Ray didn't want Metapod to be angry at him like Rover was earlier for fainted, so he took one of the potions he purchased back in Adell, and ran over to Metapod which as he listened closely was breathing heavily from the attacks it took. "I believe in you Metapod, you can do this...I know you can" he said with a grin spraying the wounds with the potion. "Remmoraid, Wingull, use the same attacks on the Metapod! Now!" he shouted. "Not so fast! Carvanha! Use bite on Remmoraid! Quick!" "Carvan-van-van!" The pokemon shouted agressively attacking the Remmoraid stopping it from releasing another attack as it cringed after the powerful bite from Carvanha, the Wingull hit Metapod once again making him weak, but to the best of his abilities, Metapod stood strong. "Again! Again!" the Waiter shouted getting slightly nervous. "Metapod, string shot once again on Wingull!" he shouted the attack immediately took action surrounding the Wingull making it have a difficult time aiming and missing Metapod as it fell over. "Carvanha! Finish Remmoraid off with bite!" Ray shouted. the attack was quick, and after taking the damage of the bite attack, Remmoraid was unable to continue fighting back, it fainted and layed there motionless besides breathing. Waiter Fred called back his pokemon, and ordered Wingull to once again free himself as he only had two pokemon to Ray's fortune.
The Wingull shook and tried to break free desperately, but Ray didn't hesitate. "Finish him off guys! Tackle, and Bite!" Ray shouted.
"MeTA"
"Car-Va-Va-Va!"
The two shouted as they both attacked the Wingull, the Wingull, still wrapped in the string was unable to move, and fainted as well. The Waiter untied his pokemon and returned him, then stepped back standing straight with a gulp. He then laughed. "Now how quite unfortunate, I am usually quite strong, but my pokemon may have mistaken your capabilities a bit..." he said putting his hand to his chin. Ray shook his head and responded. "Totally not the case bro" The Waiter gasped slightly. "Excuse me?" "Isn't it a bit odd that you say you're the one that's powerful, however when someone comes along prepared, and lucky enough to win, your loss is suddenly the fault of the pokemon? I think you're the one who underestimated my pokemon, not your pokemon who underestimated my pokemon. A little something I learned from a friend back at Phoenix Acedemy...the pokemon are friends, not pets..." he said with a smirk as he called his two pokemon back.
Holding his composure the Waiter nodded and laughed out loud as the crowd began applauding the amusing battle. "Very insightful young man, I guess one doesn't always go to school knowing nothing, but to know more of something, very well done trainer, now if you'll be seated, I'll be happy to give you your free meal."
Ray smiled and over the course of another 20 minutes Ray was sitting at the booth seat he had before with plates of food. "The Magikarp Stew looks pretty good" Ray said excited to still have the dining experience though he felt a little bad for not paying at all, he began to eat while his pokemon rested, he released Rover to join him on the seat as he let him have a bit of the food served. Tropius sat by the booth with Metapod and Carvahna sitting on him. Aron was a little more social than usual too sitting with Ray.

{from tide pools} "Woa! What a battle!" Lydia peered in from the window, eyeing the plates of food inside the restaurant. Ray was really good at battles, and so was the staff; but with Crash and her newest edition in the pokemon center, there was no way she could hope to win a battle for a free dinner. "I don't even really know any of Brite's moves, and Erin alone isn't enough..." She muttered sadly as she stared at Ray's table with a growling stomach. 'I can't just go up and ask for some free food! That's rude! But I don't have enough money for something like this fancy place... Maybe i can just walk by and say something like: Oh, hi Ray! I was just passing by when I saw that last part of your battle and--' Her thought was interrupted when a waiter came up, "Do you need to be seated, miss?" "Huh? Oh, don't mind me, I just came to meet up with my friend over there!" Lydia jumped up and laughed awkwardly, her stomach roaring.

~Ray Sepulveda~ Ray looked up noticed another waiter catering to a girl with bright pink hair. Ray looked down at his meal, than up at the girl. "Gee, this place is a little expensive, do you think we should tell her?" he asked looking her way. Ray recognized Lydia as he saw her a few times on Campus. She always seemed like the confident type. To this point Ray hadn't made much contact with other students besides Gavin, and Munro.
Ray waved to her, and to the Waiter who approached her with a grin. His pokemon turned to face her, and Rover began to bark. Ray was quick to calm him down by covering his mouth, than petting him. Maybe if she was looking to eat, Ray could seize the oppurtunity to help out. The waiter "technically" never mentioned guests requiring battles.

 {from Palkia's Kingship) Gavin didn't mind Rose's head on his shoulder. Actually, it was kind of cute. Her warm little face, and the sweet scent of her shampoo in her hair. Walking along the way, he noted the fine scent of crab and orange peel shrimp with paisley. "Why don't we stop here to eat?" He suggested before something on the specialty boar caught his eye: Free meals to tough trainers who win a battle against the boss. "Sounds like my kind of dead, right typhlo--" He stopped in remembering he only had his little bulbasaur with him. "Oh ya, I forgot. But I think it's worth a try! We've really brought up a lot of bulbasaur's confidence, a battle would be great for it!" He brought up his pokeball. "What do you think Rose?" He smiled back at her.
The owner caught sight of his pokeball, and wasted no time to come up. "You fix'n ta battle my prize pokemon? You can use as many as you want, but I ain't never been beat!"
"Well I'm sure gonna try!" Gavin laughed.
"Tell'n ya now boy, ain't no one ever beat my butterfree or my wife's beautifly."
"Well, you got me there. I won't have any type advantage, but I won't back down because of that," He smiled up.

Rosalinda (rose) Moore  As the smell of shell fish filled the air, Rose couldn't help but smile. Gavin stopped and asked her if she'd like to eat there. That was until he saw the sign that they could eat free if they beat the boss... Giggling, Rose watched Gavin get into it as the boss came out. Okay, who could ever say no to a battle to win free food. " I've got my growlith with me" She said to him letting him know she has an upper hand. Biting her lip, she watched Gavin. Would she battle her growlith who never battled in its life? Looking at her pokeball she nodded, He needed the experience.

Gavin laughed victoriously. "Alright Rose!" He cheered, smiling back on her. "Looks like its a double battle!"
"A double? Ha! Great! The new couple vs my wife and I! Ha ha!"
"Not a couple!" Gavin became flustered, his face pinking up with blush; still, he tried to seem cool and manly about it.
"Sure you ain't. Amy! We got a battle!" He called his wife from behind the counter.
"Well, buddy, this will be our first official battle too. Practice is over. I'm really, kind of excited." Gavin smiled down at his pokeball. "Bulbasaur!" He called out his timid pokemon. 'Start off with leach seed on them both to bide out some support for Rose's growlith and bulbasaur. Then takedown would work as the strongest hit. That should give Rose an opening. He came up with a quick strategy, a battle smile taking over his face as each of their opponents let out their pokemon. "Okay bulbasaur! Tackle on butterfree!" He commanded getting bulbasaur close.
"Butterfree, take it head on and use return!" The owner commanded.
"Perfect! Bulbasaur! Leech seed! Get it while it's close!"
"What?" Bulbasaur launched leech seed, tying up the bug pokemon and weakening its ability to fly. "Well I'll be. But we still have the upper hand, right hunny? Silver wind!"

Rosalinda (rose) Moore The man called her and Gavin a couple? A light blush covered her cheeks. "N..No! We are not a couple!" She shouted and looked at Gavin. Suddenly she noticed all the pokemon being released and Rose quickly let her growlith out. " Growlith, show then your stuff~" She smirked as he emerged and kind of did a pose. " Not a contest love" She called out to him and he looked at her before getting into battle mode. " Growlith dodge and use ember!" She called as he did a graceful flip using ember as he did it hitting the butterfree straight on, leaving the pokemon with a burn.

"Great shot Rose!" Gavin cheered her and her growlith on. Leech seed went into effect, sapping some of butterfree's energy for the opposing team to gain."Alright bulbasaur, now use take down!" He called out with confidence.
"Not falling for that again, young man!" The owner's wife called out. "Beautifly, bug buzz!"
"What's bug buzz?" Gavin stood helpless while beautifly created a terrible sound on both bulbasaur and growlith; with bulbasaur taking a large amount of damage from its type and range. "Bulbasaur!" He called out, looking back up at beautifly. "It's creating that noise with its wings. If I can get an opening, bulbasaur could use vine whip and stop the attack from occurring again."
"Good work dear!" The owner called out. "And while you take care of that, I can do this: Butterfree, use rest and recover your strength!"
"No way! After all that?" Gavin clenched his teeth. It was like having his first gym battle all over again! Backed into a corner, and still filled with excitement. "But we won't give up! Right Rose?"

Catching Ray's wave, Lydia stumbled over to his table. "Hi, I uh... I saw your battle. It was really cool! That tropius you have is an amazing pokemon. And Carvana was so cool too! Not to mention how tough your metapod is. I only just caught my fourth pokemon," She rubbed at the back of her head, trying to stop herself from rambling. Brite came up over her shoulder with a smile on its face. Pluh plusle! It greeted. "Huh? Oh! This is one of my new teammates: Brite," She introduced. He docile pokemon climbing down to greet Rover happily. Pluh!

Rosalinda (rose) Moore Rose watched everything and she bit her lip. Okay so the sound was distracting her growlith, and she had to figure something out. This was a battle not a contest, they were losing, and Rose wanted to just eat. Finally it hit her. She didn't have to act like it was a battle, she could still use her moves like they were in a contest. " I got it" She whispered and looked between butterfree and Beautifly. "Growlith, ember, then bite" She winked at him and the Growlith nodded. It ran at the beautifly jumping up into the air over it to blowing it's ember at the bug. But when Growlith went to swoop back up and bite it dodged. "Good job Growlith, she smiled then looked at Gavin. "We can beat them! I'm sure of it~"

"Got a plan Rose?" Gavin smiled. Even with leech seed in affect, bulbasaur wasn't looking too good on its feet; it was just enough to buy time. "I think we can help. Butterfree isn't going anywhere soon. Bulbasaur, grab hold of beautifly!" He called out as it dodged growlith's bite attack. Quick to think, his young pokemon managed it! It held fast to the bug type, wrapping its wings to prevent escape. "Go for it Rose! Bulbasaur can't hold it for long!" He cheered for her next move.
"That was some fast moving," The owner's wife said. "Beautifly! Break free and dodge until butterfree wakes up!" Her pokemon struggled and wriggled in bulbasaur's vines.
"Just hang on a little longer bulbasaur!" Gavin called out.

Rosalinda (rose) Moore Rose smiled to Gavin as he moved in with bulbasor. he was quick she had to admit that. when he gave her the chance, she quickly took it and called out. " Growlith time to close the curtain on beautifly! Go! Bite!" She called and watched as he pokemon followed the command. Beautifly didn't make it after and fainted. Rose smirked. " Good job Gavin! Okay on to Butterfree.. Any ideas?" she laughs nervously and looked at growlith who seemed to be excited over the edge. That pokemon was enjoying this so much~!
