I don't think we have a pandemic thread, so I'm going to start one.
perhaps with a steamy hot new topic you guy's will be more active.
A pandemic (from Greek πᾶν pan "all" + δῆμος demos "people") is an epidemic of infectious disease that is spreading through human populations across a large region; for instance multiple continents, or even worldwide. A widespread endemic disease that is stable in terms of how many people are getting sick from it is not a pandemic. Further, flu pandemics exclude seasonal flu, unless the flu of the season is a pandemic. Throughout history there have been a number of pandemics, such as smallpox and tuberculosis. More recent pandemics include the HIV pandemic and the H1n1 pandemic.

Well, the first thing I would worry about is getting away from populated areas, unfortunately, the world is quite overcrowded. I honestly predict a pandemic in the near future as it is so crowded that it is a breeding ground for all sorts of crazy s**t, and with so many medications out there giving rise to heavily resistant strains of bacteria, I wouldn't be surprised if s**t were to hit the fan as early as sometime within the next decade. All we can really do is be ready I guess.

I'm planning on going to medical school so that might help some.
Having Mormon heretige, my instinct is to prepare for disaster.
I'd try and find out what it isn't immune to (cold, heat, moisture, ect).
