Hello once again my brothers and sisters in Satan, today I would like to discuss various form of divination that are commonly used, as well as a few not so common ones.

Skrying

I'm sure you've all seen this, the old lady with warts gazing into her crystal ball to see the future. Well what she was doing is called skrying. I personally like to skry on occasion. You may be saying to yourself "well this is all good and fine soilwork, but i don't know how" well im going to tell you!

Step 1: Relax, do your breathing/relaxation steps with your eyes closed.

Step 2: When you start to see swirling colors, of feel sufficiently relaxed open your eyes and look into your skrying device.

List of common skrying devices

1.Black mirror
2.Crystal Ball
3.Water
5.Fire
6.Pretty much anything reflective

Step 3:Now that you are looking into your skrying device, ask the universe to bring you a vision, the device should become completely clear so that you cannot see your reflection, this most likely will not happen your first time. Do not give up however, because eventually you will get vision, please try not to give up

Step 4: Do your banishing/grounding rituals just incase any spirits are still around, put away your mirror and contemplate what you just saw, or did not see.

Tarot

I hope that all of you know about tarot cards, and I'll assume that you do. As you most likely know tarot cards are a popular form a divination I'll just go over a few basic things such as how I do it.

Step 1: Get a deck of tarot cards, I suggest the Thoth deck for more experienced user. For newer users my first deck was the Rennisance Tarot deck, I don't know if id really recommend it, pretty much any deck will do in the beginning..except oracle cards, or angel cards, plus your Satanists, screw angels.

Step: Select a question you would like answered such as "how will I do on my bio exam?" or "What should i do to get that girl/guy(please use names) I like?". Unacceptable questions are "Will I win the lottery?" or "will sally ever date me", why are these unacceptable? Because they have yes or no answers, the cards cannot say "Yes this will happen" because there is no "yes" or "no" card.

Step: Begin to shuffle while repeating the question over and over and over and over and over and over until you feel like you should stop shuffling, thats the key, ONLY when you FEEL you should stop, not before. It may take a minute or five until you feel like you should stop

Step: Lay out the cards in the fashion that best suits your question if it was a simple question if suggest the Celtic cross spread, if it was more complex id suggest the spread from the Thoth deck. Ill share that one at the end of the tarot section.

Step: interpret the cards based on position, the book that comes with your cards should explain this.

OK guys, that a pretty brief overview of how to do tarot, now I'll show you my favorite spread

Cards 1,2, and 3 represent the question or the person asking said question

Cards 13 9 5 and 4 8 12 depending on if they go with each other if they do its a series of events unfolding, from left to right. If they conflict the one on the right is what would happen should you change nothing and the one on the left represents what would happen if you changed your plan.

Cards 6 10 14 are to assist you in making your choice, like things to consider before acting

cards 7 11 15 represent things out of your control ,such as divine intervention, karma, fate, the gods, what have you.

Necromancy

Yes!!! The dreaded necromancy, summoning the dead, late night grave robbing, animating your long lost aunt velda!!! OK not really but you do get to speak to the dead. I'm going to be a bit vague here since I don't really want our younger members doing this, because it can be dangerous if you don't know what your doing. Let me be VERY clear here, don't ******** around OK? Also Id like to say this again, this is not digging people up and animating them, as Satanists I assume you know this, but we do have non-satanic members. I won't go into detail but here is how I do it

Step 1: Prepare you ritual space, if you know the spirit put pictures of them around or things that belonged to them.

Step 2: Decide how you wish to see them, have them manifest physically or in a mirror?

Step 3: Do grounding and banishings

Step 4:Make your call to the spirit, summon them. I will not give you one.

Step 5:Converse with them and ask/tell them what you need/want.

Step 6: Give them license to depart, and do your banishings.

Ok guys, I know I only listed three. It was a hard type for me and I'm pretty damn hungry, I will be adding more later, most likely later tonight. Until then PLEASE post your own forms of divination, or make fun of mine, or ya know anything you find relevant to the topic.

Has anyone had experience with runes? I have a set and I'm still breaking them in so to speak. Any advise or good patterns/techniques would be very helpful.

I prefer using Runes and Tea leaves in Divination. For runes if you want to quickly interperate a situation and do it for its progress over time the easiest way to do so is a Norn Spread, which is a three stone spread, which is basically Past, Present and Future.

Some of the spreads for runes are the Norn, Celestial, Celtic Cross, Diamond, Elements, Fork, Thor's Hammer, One Rune, Germania Cast ( a
variation of Norn) and 9 Rune. I personally use the Celestial (a yearly (13 Runes needed) spread in which you,start with the month you are in now. Runes chosen 1 -12 are set up in a diamond shape starting with the right and ending up with Rune 12 at the top of the diamond. Then the last or 13th Rune should be placed in the middle, Rune 1 should be month 1 and so on. The 13th Rune should be the final and should represent the "Influence for the Year".) And Thor's Hammer (Swirl the runes around in the bag gently with your writing hand, and let a Rune fall naturally into your fingers, feel it and sense/determine whether it is the right one to draw. Draw the runes one at a time and place them on the field in hammer like pattern. Never turn the runes - place them exactly as they come to hand on the field. Whether they are upright or reversed (i.e. upside down or right way up), and whether they appear converse or obverse (i.e. face down or face up) may make a difference to the meaning. Interpret the runes according to their position as follows:

1 How others see me
2 My fears
3 What I seek
4 My best approach
5 My goal
6 Obstacles to overcome
7 My destiny
8 The way to my real self
9 My real self)
