Kelsey has lived a long life, born into a town that strongly believed in their gods and deities. They had been producing a ceremony for the gods when the rains never came, and their crops withered and their live stock died off slowly do to lack of food and water. Upon that same night Kelsey had been born into the lower class of society, but what had caught the royal families eye was the fact she wasn't completely human, and the mother was a local prostitute. Upon discovering what she was they bribed the women into giving her only child to them and she refused. Kelsey's mom didn't want to give her up so the royal family backed off for the time being hoping that over time of taking care of the child she would give up. She never did, and upon her sixteenth birthday he mother was killed out in the streets like she was nothing to these men of dark colored robing. When Kelsey found out she wept for several days, her power over storms causing it to rain for several days, drenching the land and making it flood. When she ceased so did the rain and the royal family visited her once more offering her a family once again.
She knew not that these people were the reason her mother was now dead. Upon her eighteenth birthday she found herself disheartened by the kings sudden illness, though it was only an excuse to get close to her, so he could defile her. He spoke horrible words and hurt her often when no one knew it was going on. Then she found out of the hired assassins and what the royal family had done to keep her there with them. In the night she killed them, her heart felt cold to her and it snowed in the town for weeks. People wondered if this was their curse for letting the royal family anger the deity and over time they grew to hate her for making them suffer, and denounced her as a deity. to a demon. She eventually left and the people there cared not what happened to her. She journeyed west to find a place she could feel at ease at. Though many villages she came across were ones that believed she was a demon, having not thoughts of deities as being similar to angels and thus being unexplained they ridiculed her and chased her away with sticks and stones.
She lived among the forest beings for a long time having stayed away from people for a long time. Up until times started to change, and she decided it was time to forgive and forget. She didn't under stand a lot of things she was slowly and steadily learning and over time She mastered shape shifting to look like a human, and learned more from places she traveled too. She took many different types of jobs, and didn't spend to much money so her lot grew every year as time passed till she built her own business which was a toy and electronics store called Shio. They sold just about anything at the store, from old items to modern day items, and she was able to spend a bit more then she had in the past. In time she learned of the academy and she joined, so she'd be able to learn how to control her emotion bound powers. She joined the academy, after leaving a group of people she'd finally been able to make friends with, and knew of her powers and what she was, but being modern day people they didn't reject her like most people would have that long ago.
