Foalhood: A unicorn is considered a foal until it is about two years old, when it is weaned. The horn is just a bump under the skin on the forehead, and the tail is ropelike until the hairs begin to grow in. They stay the size of a horse's foal throughout this time.

Weanling: A unicorn around three years of age. They are roughly two years old by this time, and it is at this time that the horn begins to grow. The foal also starts to grow in size at this time.

Youngster: A unicorn at three to four years of age is much like a horse yearling from the real world. The horn is beginning to reach its full length, though it is still blunt. The youngsters are nowhere near finished growing, though.

Half-grown: A half-grown is about five or six years old to roughly ten to twelve years of age. It is at this time that s/he becomes a warrior (initiated at either five or six), and when the beard starts to grow in (at the same time of initiation in the case of Vale/Hill dwelling unicorns).
Full-grown: A unicorn about age ten to twelve. They have reached their full height, and by now the unicorn has a mate and possibly a foal as well. They reach their prime at about sixteen or so, possibly older.

Elder: A unicorn becomes an elder during their late twenties, early thirties.

Horses and Das
Horse- Your average normal everyday Horse.
Da- A Horse who has drunk from the Mere of the Moon and grows a horn. They both follow the same growth as the Unicorns.

Foalhood: Both Da and normal Horses are the same. They are to young to be trianed so they simply stay in the pasture to play.

Weanling: Just a bigger Foal, the Das have drunk for the Mere in this age.

Youngster: Here the horn for the Da has finally started to grow, panefull at times. Then again think of the changes the horse is going threw.

Half-grown: Horn is bigger.
Full-grown: Finally the pain is over, the Das horn is finally grown.

Gryphons

Gryphon : Gryphons use to be a threat to the unicorns of the vale. When the unicorns where driven out of there home, they found home in the vale and scared off the goots that lived there. The Gryphons had hunted the goats and used them to feed themselves and their young. They started to pick off stray single unicorns and the young one that wandered to the top of the vale. Now that a negotiations was made with Queen Malar of the Gryphons , the Gryphons no longer hunt the unicorns. The unicorns now share the vale with the goats, that the griffins now hunt. Gryphons live in the "Gryphon Mountains" where they live in pairs and their nests.
Pans

Pans : Pan live in the "Pan Woods" that surrond the Vale. Pans and the Unicorns do not get along, and pans will attack if they see the unicorns. For this reason, the unicorns only travel in packs threw the woods to get to the sea and and the plain. Pans have small clearings they make in the woods, where they sing and dance telling storys of their kind.
Dragons

Dragon : Live in the "Smoking Hills" peacefully and only leave the hills bellys for mateing. Very rare do they visit anywere but the hills, or are visited.
Goats

Goat : Live in the vale and the Pan woods. They are hunted by the Gryphons and Pans, but live peacefully with the Unicorns.
