Mogwai's Autorock,
Deep Forest's Marta's Song,
Vangelis's Conquest of Paradise just to name a few.
And look up Peter Gabriel's version of "My Body is a Cage" I've been listening to it non-stop since I heard it on the upcoming
John Carter trailer.
Seriously. Look it up.

biggrin And My Body is a Cage is so nice! The only prob I have is the voice sounds kinda funky. o_O I guess it fits though.
And not only is it funky, it's funky for Peter Gabriel too. I seriously did not expect it to be him when I first heard it, I've
never heard him sing like that before. But it so works for that song.
Personally I love his version much more than the original by Arcane Fire.
Now another artist I like, and his voice is
rough (like gone through a grater rough), but he does a whole lot of blues and jazz type songs which is really good with that, is Tom Waits.
Piano player that does a lot of heavy drinking type songs.
There's also what I call "Renaissance Revival Rock" that encompasses bands like Blackmore's Night and Emerald Rose that are pretty much bands that play medieval ballads and songs based on such, but add an interesting modern take to them.
I have very interesting tastes in music. There's a huge range of talent that I like.
