Is anyone in here interested in the paranormal? Do you have any ghost stories to share? Have you been to any place that you or someone else considers extremely haunted?

Also, if anyone has been to any Revolutionary War locations and/or battlefields and/or Civil War battlefields I would like to hear about any experiences you or others have. I am writing a series on paranormal locations and I ask around and search for personal experiences and then go to the location and investigate. These topics are for my next two books. So I would appreciate any stories that anyone has, thanks.

Well, near where I grew up there is this place/haunting called the Paulding Light, in Michigan. It's a road that runs along side an old railroad track, right where the tracks could be switched over. Supposedly, the man whos job it was to switch the tracks got hit by the train and the light that you see there is of his lantern. Some time at night, not all nights, you can see a big bobbing light that goes up and down this road. It changes colors from green, red and white, maybe yellow too. Once when me and a bunch of friends went out there we decided to walk down the mile or so long road, to see how close we could get to it. We were saddened to not see it at all though. Once we got back to where all the other people where (we're talking dozens of people who come and watch for this thing every night) everyone was telling us that we'd walked right passed it! Apparently the entire time we couldn't see it, everyone else could. They had scientific tests done for all sorts of things, mainly swamp gases (as bogs and swamps are common around there) but they couldn't find anything to explain it. Some people say their car headlights and taillights reflecting from the main road, but that wouldn't explain the variety in colors. Not to mention that this road is a dead end and completely surrounded by trees, so how a reflection could get passed all those trees is beyond me. (we're talking dense forest here)

There is a place near Lancaster, PA called Chickies Rock. It's a couple of cliffs that overlook the Susquehanna River. Right below the cliff is a railroad track and a canal. It's also the main suicide spot in this part of the state. I think there has been 2 suicides, 1 accidental fall and 1 murder in the area in the past 5 years. There are a lot of local legends at the place, the most well-known one is about a young Native American couple. They used to rendevous on the top of the cliff and as the story goes the woman fell in love with a white settler. This caused her lover to go into a rage and he attacked her, when the settler came to save her, he killed him. Then he took the woman in his arms and jumped off the cliff with her. The legend goes on to say that the bloody apparition of the settler still wanders through the woods around there. There is are also stories about a elderly woman placing a curse on the land because she was forced to move and a man who was hit by a train.
As for an event that actually happened, there was a trolley accident in the late 1800s when the cliffs were used as an amusement park.
When I went there, on the digital recorder we had a lot of voices of people crying, praying, and talking about the trolley. In the area were the man was supposedly hit by a train we caught a figure on camera and had a man threatening harm to someone. There is a local paranormal group comprised of people who all claim to be psychic and they say that there is an inhuman spirit in the area too because of all the deaths. It is a really creepy place. I'd rather spend the night on the Gettysburg battlefield than go to Chickies in the day time.
