Well I'm new here, and I can hardly think of a better way to get to know people then to find out their top 5 books. So give me your lists! You can do it by how much the books mean to you, or in no specific order- I know how hard it can be to pick between favorites,
I'll start.
1. Catcher in the Rye 2. The Awakening 3. Adventures of Huckleberry Finn 4. Romeo and Juliette 5. Oracle Night

Hmm.. it's really hard to pick just five, as I LOVE to read. In no particular order, I'd have to sayyyy: 1984 Gulliver's Travels Ender's Game Speaker for the Dead Flowers for Algernon Frankenstein I know that's one more than the qualifying five, but these are my top books that I will reread over and over. XD

Let's see..
1. Daughter of the Forest, by Juliet Marillier 2. Heart's Blood, by Juliet Marillier 3. The Princess Bride, by William Goldman 4. Harry Potter (all of them can count as one, right? >_>), by JK Rowling 5. The Truth about Forever, by Sarah Dessen
I'll have to look into these books you guys have listed that I haven't read. I adore reading. It's such a great activity.

Man, so then Ender's Game is worth reading. People have been pushing it on me since middle school, but I always shrugged it off. I guess I'll have to grab a copy.

If you can get past that most of the main characters are children, i dunno that seemed to be the thing that my friends didnt like about the book.

@EggAtix: YES. Ender's Game is awesome! I think it's really interesting how they used children, and the technology in there is pretty cool, too. I've read about four or five of the Discworld series and I luff them! My fave character is the trunk, of course! biggrin
@ImHotPink4Ever: I LOVE Island of the Blue Dolphins! I have that book as well and reread it all the time. When I was younger I'd pretend to be her, lost on the island. >.>
