First of all, you don't lvl up, EVER. Now before you start panicking this is how it's gonna work for stats.
Taking the concept of Digital Devil Saga of devouring to become stronger that's how you get stronger. Exept you don't devour demons, you devour what are called Demon Apples. Demon Apples are the source of power in this RP (stat boosts, skills, resistances....etc.)
Now in order to get these apples is to have a reason (Nocture)
We have a few characters with preset stories and reasons, but were not gonna mind control its just the basic path the character will follow. As long as you follow your reason, me and Scud will give you apples.
Now you can make your own character and have your own reason to follow, but you have a reason no matter what. Basically just keep to your characters story and you’ll be all right And besides, the characters we made might have something extra
Also, we need you to be active if you have a preset character, this isn't a real problem with most of our RPer’s, but we just wanted to throw that out.

Currency is Macca (yeah were not making a new name for money)
However, the use of Macca is way more important in this RP.
-Money for items (Of course)
-It's one of the sources of healing (no healing items)
-you can use it to buy demon apples (but it's gonna take a lot)
Now were not done with this yet, we will continue to post more explanations about the overall world, areas, story-based explanations on items (Like macca and apples and much more)
Anyway, this is just idea we have, but we have so much to tell its gonna take a while to put it all on here so just bear with us.
Key Terms
The Crusaders- The faction that sided with Ark after the disappearance of the Demon King who take up reside in the Celestial City in the west. They rigorously fallow the Demon Kings rules and enforce the rules more strictly than what they wear originally intended. Their military strong hold is in the golden fortress built by the demon king.
The Tribe- Is the largest faction after the split, however their bonds are the weakest as they consist of mostly thieves mercenaries and refuges. Lead by Taro who holds a neutrality policy his guidelines is virtually the only thing that keeps the tribe together. The Tribe set up camp in the north around the Bronze Circle.
The Yoma- The group that chose to fallow Thanatos their base of operation is in the eastern swamps. Their main base is Thanatos' old fortress from the grate demon war the obsidian fortress. Scattered around are the hidden slums of the Yoma. The Yoma Believe in the superiority of Demon kind and believe they should be allowed to do whatever they want to humans like in the days of old.
The Gates- There are three gates of White, Black, and Bronze. Each gate is large and ominous and, each one hides many things beyond their doors. The gates are guarded by the guardian of the gate whose job it is to prevent all who want to cross its threshold.
White Gate- The gate that lays in the celestial city. The demon king passed through the gate after the end of the great war no one has been Abel to pass through the gate since. So the gate guardian dose not Evan bother blocking it.
Black Gate - The gate that blocks the way to the demon tree grove and the demon tree Yggdrasil.
Bronze Gate- The gate that rests on the peak of the northern most mountain. It leads to the path of the stars the only way to reach the human world.
Yggdrasil- The grate demon tree that grows the much desired Demon apples. Although it is a tree it is still very powerful and not to be taken lightly as it does not like its fruit being picked. It Drinks the Manna that flows from Arcanum. That Manna is then Taken and used for nurturance for Yggdrasil.
Demon World- The realm in which the demons reside. The main section of land is separated into four areas. The Northern Mountains, Western plains, Eastern Swamps, and the Southern Wastes/ Badlands.
Human World- The realm of the humans, separated from our own. Little is known about their modern culture as after the Great War.
Celestial City- The city that surrounds the Golden Fortress, found in the Western Plains. Built by the Demon King after the end of the Great War symbolizing the end of demons fighting and live in unity. The buildings are taller towards the center of the city and the golden fortress's walls are taller they any of them. Now it is home of the Crusaders after the splitting of the demon factions.
Hidden Slums-The main city found in the Eastern Swamps, that is built just outside the gates of the Obsidian Palace. Home to the Yoma faction after the demon factions split up once more after the Demon King's disappearance.
Tribe’s Camp- The main city found in the Northern Mountains, built after the separation of the factions. Built just outside the Stone Temple. This city is home of the Tribe faction.
Stone Temple- The Headquarters of the Tribe faction and Taro. What it lacks in pure defense, it makes up for in its mind-boggling traps, mazes, and puzzles that are within the temple. Taro and a select few are the only one who know the secrets of the Temple. However, Taro is the only one that is aware of the Temple's deepest and most threatening secrets.
Obsidian Palace- The main fortress of Thanatos' army. A castle constructed of pure obsidian, brought from the Obsidian Mines. The entire Palace is built into the side of a mountain which makes it only penetrable from one side.
Golden Fortress- This Fortress is a shining beacon of gold built by the Grate Demon King after the end of the great demon war. It was built near wear the white castle once stood. It overlooks the western planes. Its keep is the tallest thing in the Celestial City.
Demon Tree Grove- This grove of trees grows behind the protection of the Black Gate. This Grove is the only known location where Demon Apples grow. Despite the temptation of many demons to collect apples from the grove it is a dangerous place that only the brave or powerful go.
Demon Apple- A rare and valuable commodity in the demon world known for its power to strengthen the demon that consumes it almost instantly.
Rotten Demon Apple- Although The Rotten Demon Apples strengthen a demon just as much as their regular counter parts, the poisons they contain although not lethal will give the demon who consumes it a powerful and consistent stomach ache.
Human- The creatures that reside in the Human Realm. They are much weaker than we are, but humans have been found to be very resourceful and clever. Plus their soul energy is what brings Macca into existence for us demons to use.
Demon- An intelligent form of life with much power especially when compared to that of a human. Although Demon may seem malevolent it is a generic teem for a supernatural being. demons can also change from their natural form to that of a human.
Feral Demon- A form of demon that lacks the inelegance and skill of its normal counter parts.
Eastern Swamps- The swamps to the east filled with natural dangers quick sand, poisons, and feral demons.
Western Plains- The plains that are to the west they are covered in wheat from end to end and always remains ripe. However demons cannot gain sustenance from the wheat so it remains for ever uneaten.
Northern Mountains- These tall and majestic rocky mountains lie to the north. They are filled with winding passes.
Badlands / Wastes- What was once the southern grasslands before the grate demon war the home of the brutes was positioned hear but, everything was destroyed in the battle between the guardian of the gates and the demon king. Now all that is left is a lifeless waste land where nothing will grow a constant reminder of the devastations of war.
Demon King- The most powerful demon of all time who single handedly ended the grate demon war by defeating the leaders of all the warring factions single handedly. After uniting the land he imposed laws to help ensure the survival of demons and appointed the leaders of the 4 strongest factions to be his pillars and help him rebuild the world. Then he passed through the white gate and disappeared.
Macca- The primary energy used in the demon world, harvested from human souls and acts as the currency in the demon world. Macca can also be consumed for a temporary power boost. Macca could be described as a humans life force.
Soul- The core of a being both demon and human. Human souls are harvested into Macca, Demons Souls however do not produce Macca. Some Times Human souls are consumed whole as they produce Macca directly into the demons body However the consumption of demon souls is extremely taboo by all of the demon world.
The Circles- The circles are connected to the human world they are also a gathering point for the small fragments of Macca. The passage is too small for a demon to pass however the sand sized fragments of Macca can pass freely.
Bronze Circle- The Circle that lies at the foot of the northern mountains.
Gold Circle- The Circle that sits in the square of the celestial city emplace of a fountain.
Black Circle- The circle that waits in a clearing of the eastern swamps.
Black Market- The market where the trade of demon apples take place although not illegal the name comes from the color of the apples themselves.
Path of the Stars- This path sits behind the bronze gate it is the only way to reach the human world from the demon realm. It sparkles like that of the heavens and swirls in many colors.
Basking- The act of waiting in one of the circles to absorb the small fragments of Macca that gather there.
Manna Flow- Arcanum's constant flow and ebb of positive and negative energy. Constantly shifting between law phases and chaos phases.
Arcanum - The Grate star made of pure Macca that float's above the demon realm where the Macca gathers from the three grate circles and condenses into a solid mass. It glows blue when it's in a law phase and red when in chaos. When both law and chaos are balanced it glows white.
Obsidian Quarry- The Quarry of obsidian that is nestled in-between the roots of Yggdrasil. The obsidian from hear was used to build the obsidian palace.
