Irotaki was born in South Japan, raised secretly by his two parents. Not many know about Irotaki's personal life or background. He was told to not tell anyone about it from his parents. If they were to find out that he was half angel and half demon, who knows what would happen to him. Due to that fear, his father sent him away to a place where the Demons and Angels would least expect their child to be. Irotaki was told he had to find his way there himself. It took him years, he had been able to master most of his abilities and is still learning. He finally was able to find the school when he turned 17.
