Well I'm sure most of you have heard about Burlesque shows...the Pussycat Dolls are one that you are probably familiar with. Sure they're pretty, but let's face it, they're pretty scrawny.
For those of you who have been wanting to see pleasingly plump and voluptous women on the Burlesque stage, I point you in the direction of the Big Burlesque show! They are a travelling burlesque show, that feature heavy women in all their glory. I may not have the bravery they have to show off what they've got, but I admire a strong and confident big woman, who doesn't? wink

And to make this a discussion...
- If you had the chance, would you join the Big Burlesque group?
- What would be your nick name? Would you be an 'innocent/ladylike' character, or 'wild and naughty'?
- How do you feel about big women wearing skimpy outfits onstage...to you find it demeaning or empowering?
- Have you ever gone to one of their shows? Did you enjoy yourself? And if you haven't, would you go and watch one of their shows?

Heck yes! I'm insecure about my looks sometimes...but I would LOVE to do something like that. I hate to admit it, but I am a bit of an exhibitionist at times. I like being the center of attention from time to time. I'm the kinda girl who would want to learn how to strip and pole dance. sweatdrop
But anyway...I don't know what my stage name would be. I haven't thought it out that far.
And yes I do feel like it is empowering. I like having that kind of control. I like making guys lose their minds. Yes...I have been called a tease. xp But so what? Just so long as it is all in fun and consensual. lol I'm a tease...just not evil. Not to mention...I like dancing. I suck at it but I like it.
I haven't see the burlesque...but I would like to. That would be fun. I'd take my bf to it...just so long as he left with me. lol

In a heart beat. I like to think of myself as a dancer. I was in our High schools show choir and a dance troupe called Diverstiy. I miss it so much. Dancing is my passion but its way to hard to break into as a profession. Not to mention I am a plush size girl.
- What would be your nick name? Would you be an 'innocent/ladylike' character, or 'wild and naughty'? Innocent and Ladylike of course! ^^ I'd Be something like....Hot Chocolate or Mocha Lotta (yes, Lotta)
- How do you feel about big women wearing skimpy outfits onstage...to you find it demeaning or empowering? I say its what you want it to be. I dont find the clothing the thing that makes it empowering. Its the confidance or the sexyness you choose to exude.
- Have you ever gone to one of their shows? Did you enjoy yourself? And if you haven't, would you go and watch one of their shows? I would watch one, I would take the workshops, I would preform if they let me. Its that serious. I want in!
