Alex was born on a distant island away from the academy. He mastered magic at a young age, and mostly went around helping villagers out with it. One day, his island was attacked by a band of rogue warriors. They were eventually overcome and choose Alex to put a curse on since he was the strongest. The curse put on him makes him change into a baby form at night and if he uses too much magic, he switches to the baby form. The next day, he woke up in a port town away from the island. He had his father's staff which he carried around at all times to remind him he could have done better. Due to growing up in a harsh environment, he mostly keeps quiet and doesn't talk unless nessacary.
