Bio: As a black neko, Namida has always been looked at as the cause of problems and misfortune. Abandoned when she was young, she went to the slave shop. As she grew older, she managed to escape and then sought out others of her kind. She prefers the company of supernatural, rather than the humans who look down on her. While in her teens, she discovered a protector, one who taught her the ways of who and what she was. She discovered she was not entirely...neko. Her friend and protector taught her how to use her powers, and now Namida is one of the strongest of her kind. Her friend had to leave after she had been trained, on a special mission, but he said he would return one day. While she was training in the remote mountains Namida befriended a phoenix named Pinelope. A few years later, while sitting in her garden in the moonlight, she recieved a special visitor. A lunar rabbit by the name of Kalico, had been sent from their realm to watch over her. With her two guardians and companions, she awaits the return of her friend. Now, while she may have built herself up, she wants to help others like her.

Other info: A slim, shy neko. She prefers those who are passive and kind to fighters. She is normally very polite and gentle but if you stir her to anger, beware. Namida is very loving and kind, she wishes only for the best. She's very shy and quiet, not many people know all that much about her. She can have a slight sadistic side, at times; especially when it comes to humans.

I enjoy the presence of men.

My voice is my power. When I sing Death's Song, the one I am singing for knows he or she shall die soon. I levitate normally I'm an inch or two above the ground. I can walk on water; I can fly. I can turn invisible at will. Though I don't like to, I can see the lifespan of any living or non-living being.

My Personality?

People say I'm always down and dreary. I work for Death, so that shouldn't come as a surprise. I am strict and dislike when people don't do as I wish. I like to be in charge, though I don't seem like it at first. Rarely do I get angry but when I do, it is something to fear.

Unlike most, my story is not that interesting.

First I will tell you of the Banshee. In the mists of time, the Banshee once stood; the greatest of Fae voices, enchanting with song of aching quality that none could resist. These were the days before Courts, when Fae were equal, leading not by birth, but by quality. The Banshee were proud of their talent, in great demand by all kith for the emotion they carried, but the Banshee grew arrogant. Swollen with pride, they began to feel superior, engaging in petty tyrannies at first, charging for their talents, commanding others to obey with the power of their voice. Thus began their fall...

The other kith noted the growing power and arrogance of the Banshee and became disturbed. The dreams of the medieval had not yet shaped their society; lordship and control such as the Banshee were gathering were alien and immoral. The situation grew worse by the year. The final day of reckoning came when the Banshee matriarch ordered the death of 20 kith for refusing to pander to her tastes. The rebellion was swift and harsh, the kith gathering the Banshee in one mighty freehold. There they stood accused of crimes against their cousins. The decision was final and damning:

'In your arrogance you have tried to take the life from us. In the names of all kithain we curse you, damn you to eternal woe! You will no longer sing with power, and the life you saught to take will be forever beyond your view! Death you wished to give, now death is all you will see!'

The curse has remained forever since.

Over time as the blood of the Irish has reached far off shores, the Banshee are with them. For many years they have assumed the mantle of Harbingers of Death, Oathbinding themselves to Fae and mortals, hoping to use their curse for benefit, trying to atone for the sins of the past.

Now I tell you the story of me, I was born quite some time ago, in the distant lands of Ireland. My mother and father were both kind and caring . Though the Banshee is a female messenger spirit and an omen of death. People generally dislike us. We tend to take away someone important when we visit. My mother and father didn't have any qualms about their job. They know that they had done something wrong and they were paying for it. I however was different. I don't like the fact that I too have to pay for the wrongs of my elders. I resisted my calling for quite some time. I traveled, exploring the world, though I was always drawn to places of great sorrow or pain, which is how I found myself in a slave shop. The first time I ended up in one, I merely watched. I had no interest nor need to buy anyone. As I continued to travel, the calling grew stronger and stronger.

Finally I could resist it no longer. I began to sing Death's Song for the one who would soon be gone. Tears poured down my face as I sang, but I found a relief in finally doing what I was meant to. Throughout the years I have continued doing my job, singing Death's Song whenever I felt the calling. Recently though, I have found myself lonely. I haven't spoke to my parents in some time and I have no friends, for no one wishes to be friends with a Banshee. I have found myself drawn to the slave shops again, perhaps I shall purchase one this time...

My likes? I enjoy: meadows in springtime, for the flowers are so pretty. Those who are unafraid of me and my kind; it's depressing for everyone to cringe in fear of me. roses, those filled with life, for I am so aquanted with death. The occasional rebelious person is nice, this world is too boring if everyone obeys me like sheep. Also, the color purple is pleasing.

My dislikes? Displeasing me is not that difficult. The things that do it easiest are: crying, I won't tolerate anyone else doing it but me. Funerals, for obvious reasons. Inturruptions, and those who have no manners make me angry.

Other relevent information I do not need to eat or sleep, but I do tend to meditate while most people are asleep. ((IMPORTANT)) Since I, for the most part, cannot manifest in a physical way, I have a doll that I can inhibit.
