Hello and welcome to The Movie Watcher Zone and this is the second part of my double feature review and this one is Bad Teacher. I just saw this one today actually since the one I wanted to see Larry Crowne was at midnight and was not able to stay for it sadly. So why not watch this instead of seeing something else twice and I was curious to see if it was funny or not. So does Cameron Diaz do well in a adult type of comedy?
This movie was actually kind of funny I mean it wasn't a that good of a movie, but I kind of enjoyed it a little bit and it did have some funny moments in here. It's just one of those adult comedy's you would normally see around the summer where it's not the best and still something enjoyable and to laugh at. It's not really a lot to talk about in the movie since it's hard to talk about comedy movies like these a lot.
I'll just go with the stuff I did enjoy first such as Cameron Diaz since I am happy you see her in this type of role since you really don't see her in it or at all so it is nice for a change and I think she did pretty well. Yeah of course at first her character was being really bitchy and just sometimes a pain to watch, but as it goes on she does start to get likeable in this movie and she is actually kind of funny to watch you also get the kind of feeling like you can see Billy Bob Thorton in this role. Jason Segel is one of the most funniest guys in this movie and I do like his work and think he is a very talented actor and with this role I did enjoy him as I found him to be hilarious and he did make me laugh a lot. Justin Timberlake was also a little weird in this one, but at the same time he was kind of enjoyable, but not that much he did have some funny moments like when him and Diaz were dry humping in a hotel room which was kind of like a what the hell moment.
Now I only did have two things I did not like in this film and one of them was Lucy Punch's character and the reason for that is I find her character so painful to watch that you could punch her if you wanted too. She was this person that was one of the most annoying antagonists I have ever seen in a film and it's a comedy no less. I just found her really unneeded or just find someone else to play the role. Also I was not that much a fan of the plot as it just seems like you have this spoiled woman just wanting to get her breasts bigger to impress some guy and you really did not much time with Diaz and Segel as they really did have good chemistry together and would of liked to see more screen time with them together.
While I did not come in expecting this to be a great film I did get some good laughs for a summer movie and was nice to see instead of the action, horror, or thrillers for a change. If you just want a good laugh than go check it out.
