For reaching 3000 hits.
The Captain is the first Yankees to do so.
Now the Yankees can stop focusing on him and more on losing the divison!

the media in the City can be ruthless.
but Mr. Jeter seems to have mastered them.
that was certainly a riveting game and moment!
i do wish he had agreed to play in the All Star game.
