Lando stands at the steps of the small temple, speaking to any near-by Long that would listen. "Piao He is a spiritual month! It is the month to look for enlightenment within yourself, and I can help you find it. Step inside, and I can help you learn how to meditate properly and help you achieve your enlightenment."This is another chance to rack up some points at obtaining Yao status.
The rules are simple:
Pick one of your Long, or multiple if you choose. Please include a link or a picture of that Long in every post that is made for that Long, so I can keep track of who's doing what.
Roll a six sided dice. A 1 or 2 and you completely fail to focus. A 3 or 4 and you focus, but are easily distracted. A 5 or 6 and you manage a deep meditative state.
After you've rolled your dice, go back and edit that post to include an RP response playing out the results of your dice. Landuo will then respond to your post, giving you encouragement and advice.
You can only make one post per long a day, but you don't have to come back to meditate at the temple every day.
Please note: This isn't a challenge you can "win." It's not over if you roll a 5/6. You come back every day to keep meditating, even if you've already rolled 5/6. It's an RP event, the dice is only there to help dictate RP a little. The ultimate goal is to get more RP to get your long to a Yao stage.
I'll try to get back to you and respond daily, though that might not work out as planned. Feel free to roll again the next day if I don't respond to you.

"Meditation?" Meng paused in his tracks. Oh, what the heck. He could use a bit of help with meditation. It had never really been his strong suit, after all. He followed the Long, sitting down and taking a few deep breaths. In.... out... in... out... Hmmm... what was he going to have for dinner tonight? Oh yeah, meditation. Er... in.... out........
Stir fry sounded good. Some shrimp and- crud. In... out... in.... Yes, stir fry. Lots of shrimp. And...
Meng sighed. He was just too hungry to try and meditate at the moment. Perhaps he'd try again some other time. When his tummy was full.

Landuo smiles at the willingness of this Long.
"Wordly things will always be here to distract us, whether it be food and drink or anything else, and it is not always easy to push these things out of our heads. We must learn to meditate even while in these states of mind. While not perfect for a beginner, it is an ideal situation to use to learn to meditate better.
The key in this situation is patience, and I'll give you a trick I learned. Fill your head with bubbles; imagine hundreds of bubbles floating around. Concentrate on all of them, and use them to push all other thoughts out of your head. Then slowly, one by one, pop them until your head is empty.
For you, I would suggest getting dinner before trying this again."
Landuo gives Meng a small smile. "Thank you for trying, I do hope to see you back tomorrow."

Meng remembered to eat a large meal before returning to attempt meditation once more. The male nodded a greeting to Landuo and took a seat. Remembering the other Long's suggestion of bubbles, Meng allowed bubbles to fill his mind, pushing all other thoughts out. Then, slowly, he popped them one by one until they were all gone.

Landuo watched as the long closed his eyes. She noticed that he was slowly slipping deeper and deeper into his mind. Landou smiled, not disturbing Meng's his meditative state.
The long had done very well, especially for his second day. She was pleased that someone under her tutelage had done so well.
As she noticed that he was returning from his state, she spoke. "Yes! Very good! I see you too my advice, and I see it helped you very well! Keep practicing, and once you are able to completely maintain this state, perhaps the gods will grant you visions that will help you achieve enlightenment! I hope you will return to meditate tomorrow!"

Meng had returned, pumped up with his previous success. He was completely expecting to succeed once again. As he took a seat and calmed himself, he had a hard time doing so. He was too excited over the idea of a successful meditation to... well, be successful at meditating. Eventually, Meng sighed. "I guess I'll have to try again tomorrow."

Landuo watched as Meng fidgeted, clearly excited.
"Strong emotions are the downfall of meditation. It is no simple task, but you must learn to control them. I cannot help you with this, you must know your own self well enough to know what you must do to control your emotions. Find your trigger, and apply it.
I can give you a place to start, something to try, however. When I get overly happy, I think of sour memories to sober myself up. When I get angry or sad, I think of my happiest memories, the times I was most strongly willful to perform a task. I return to the times opposite my current emotions, and they cancel each other out.
I hope this helps, I look forward to seeing you back!"
