These are the Stables where Pegasus are kept. They are stong winged horses. The best people able to communicate and ride them are the Children of Poseiden and the Children of Aphrodite. It's a punishment to muck out the stables. Take care with them and to get on their good side bring sugar cubes and apples.

Raizya quietly walked into the stables and over to a roan Arabian stallion. Technically, roan Arabians don't exist, but winged horses aren't supposed to, either, so take that, breeders!
Ahem. Anyway.
Raizya often visited this horse, whom we shall refer to as Raz, for the two years she had been in camp. She had used to take horse riding lessons, so even though she didn't have a special bond with horses like the Poseiden and Aphrodite kids, she still got along with them pretty well. The horses interested her by the mere fact they were thought to not exist. Raz in particular was unbelievable, what with being a roan Arabian, and they took a particular liking to each other. "Hi, Razzle-Dazzle!" she chirped, rubbing the stallion's nose.
He snorted and nipped her fingers.
"Fine. No silly names. Got it, Kill-joy."

Jake and Rath   Jake entered holding Rath's hand. He sighed,"What shall we....?"He paused and saw a horse,"HORSEY!!!" Rath chuckled and kissed Jake's forehead.

Raizya jumped a foot in the air when somebody suddenly shouted. "WTF?!" Raz whinnied and danced on his hooves at her sudden movement. She quickly held his head before he could rear and stroked his nose until he settled down, huffing into the crook of her arm. She turned her head to glare at the kid that yelled. "Please don't shout, winged horses spook just like the regular ones. Loud noises set them off."

"Hi, Raizya," Skylar said when she saw the familiar face in the smelly stables."These horses... they're not your average ponies are they? What are they called again?" Horses always fascinated Skylar, but since these were obviously not the ones she grew up with she kept her distance."Are these things safe?" She asked taking a cautious step next to one of them.

"Hey, Skylar. You probably know them as pegasus, but the correct term is winged horses," she said, "They are completely safe, as long as you don't upset them. If you give them bunch of snacks, they may warm up to you faster. I suggest not calling them 'things', too." Rai giggled and tossed the girl a carrot from a nearby barrel. "They are just like regular horses that are more intellegent and can fly."

"Interesting," Skylar said as she caught the carrot." Do they have names, do any of them belong to a specific camper, or are they just good friends with everyone. I would not like to steal anyone's winged horse and then get on their bad side."Skylar fed the carrot to the nearest horse who neighed it's approval of the delicious snack and nudged her hand for more."Alright. I'll see if I can get any sugar cubes for,okay?" Skylar said to the horse and laughed.

"Sugar cubes are over there," Rai said, pointing to another barrel. "Yes, they have names. It's carved on a wooden sign, hung on the doors of their stables. They don't really belong to any campers, but some horses and campers do favor certain people and horses more, and develop bonds. Like Raz and me. Not every horse likes every camper, especially if they are rude to them."

Skylar went over to the bucket and got a handful of sugar cubes and walked back to the horse who she just fed the carrot to. The name carved on the wood above is Midnight, indicating to the black as night color of the horse. " I think I like this one." Midnight seemed to neigh his agreement after the sweet sugar cubes. " Hope he doesn't have a sugar rush. I've heard that the Poseidon and Aphrodite kids have a special bond with the horses. Is this true?" (( Honestly, I know practically everything there is to know about the series and the camp like the back of my hand, but since my character is a first year that's why I'm acting like this.))

"You have no reason to be jealous. Sure, it's one little thing that they can do and you can't, but so what. I bet you can do tons of things that they couldn't ever do in their whole lifetime. I wish I could talk with them too but I'm just glad that I have more talent then some others in different things. You get what I'm saying?" Skylar said with all the kindness she could muster.

"Still haven't had it yet. I need to know what would be a good time for us to have it. By the way do you know who Alex's parent is just to be sure. I know he's not in my cabin and he obviously can't be a Hunter. I just hope his skills with a bow and arrow aren't as keen as mine are so I can be sure that I won't be humiliated in the contest. Do you wanna go practice with me?"
