Adia stood outside in the training field. She wasn't in the proper training field for her rank but rather watching the younger pups train. Her partner Angela had been recruited last week to help for a few days with the training of the new dogs. Adia was there mostly to show how the commands were to be executed. She was on alert and ready to perform any command that Angela asked her to perform. She didn't mind at all to help the pups. In her mind it was good to get to know the young ones while they were still training. That way when the pups were old enough to join the ranks of the dogs who go out on patrols the older dogs would already know the strengths and weaknesses of the younger pups and be able to work around them easier.
Adia enjoyed watching the enthusiasm that plenty of the pups were putting into learning the commands and proper ways to perform their tasks. The sight of a pup successfully completing a command for the first time always made her happy. She remembered being in their place and learning the same commands as they had. Sometimes she missed that stage in her life.
