If you would like to go on a quest, please fill out the application below. Once you're done, just sit tight until one of the mods grants you approval. If you get approval, you can start recruiting for members of your quest by starting a new topic labeled "(Title of Quest goes here) Quest Recruitment." The author of the quest can be as picky as they like, and may have an additional form for you to fill out as well. Once a quest has all the members required, the author starts a new topic just labeled as their quest title. Even though only three quests are allowed at a time, you may still post your ideas, and if approved, when the other quests are finished, you may start your quest after (first come, first serve basis). If you have any questions, ask them in the thread labeled "Quest Rules and Regulations." Title of Quest: Number of Campers: Expected Locations: Prophecy: Summary:

Title of Quest: Gems of Cosmos Number of Campers: Four Expected Locations: The Underworld, The Arctic, Egypt, and Las Vegas. Prophecy: xx The youngest son of the lord of the dead xx Must recover the light within chaos xx Taking with him three that he calls his friends xx He gathers the gems before all is lost xx He wins at desert, heat, city, and frost xx But with his victory will come great loss Summary: Khaos, the one who created everything, is beginning to wake. Cosmos, the one who made the tool to subdue him for eternity, has realized that her tools are weakening, because only one is being used to hold him, but she cannot touch them, so she has to send a hero to gather them all. She contacts the son of Hades, for Hades holds the one subduing Khaos. Khaos is more awake than she thinks, though, so he begins to intervene, trying to cover the world in darkness like he did before Cosmos intervened. Title of Quest: The Celestial Veil Number of Campers: 4 - 6 Expected Locations: Half-Blood Hill, State of New York, Greece Prophecy: XXXTake heed as you listen to me XXXOnly child of Lilac and sea XXXMortals are seeing what they should not XXXOnly you can steal back what they had sought XXXReturn it to the home of the original veil XXXBefore the enchantment allows it to fail Summary: The mist makes sure the mortals don't see what's really happening in the world; it hides monsters, gods, and much stranger things from their eyes. But now, the mortals are seeing things - things they shouldn't be seeing. The problem usually effects young children; toddlers pointing and screaming at the checkout lady who is a Fury, girl scouts dropping their cookies and running from the house of a chimera. There are rare cases that children around ten years of age can see the things their adult guardians cannot, but these cases are very rare indeed. This sudden turn of events worries many: why is the Mist failing them now?
The gods act as if they could care less, but are quickly taking sides on matters. Some encourage the failing of the Mist: after all, it would mean they would be respected and worshiped once again, and their doings would not be dismissed as science any longer. Some are neutral on the subject, and couldn't care one way or the other. Then there are others who see the dangers this situation could possess: their children could be captured and used in government experiments, increased publicity and demands to see Olympus, who knows what could happen? Demigods are also taking sides: some think they would be worshiped alongside the gods and others think the Mist was made to conceal from the mortals the truth of ways.
Mt. Etna is the place where the Mist originates from because of Typhon once being a prisoner underneath it, caused by an enchantment placed by the gods. Many believe the Mist's failure is because of a certain artifact, one made by the Big Three gods themselves to more strongly conceal their existence when humans stopped believing in the Greek gods. An orb of mist, that shows images of the ancient times of the gods was foraged from the crater of Mt. Etna by a deranged scientist just days ago. Images that were originally only seen on vases and paintings and look too real to be faked. Scientists have tried breaking into the orb of seemingly made of swirling, but find it is harder than steel. Mortals are starting to believe that this artifact is magical, strengthening the link between the worlds of gods and mortals. The catch; the longer the artifact is away from Greece, the stronger the link and the harder it is to restore the Mist to its former glory.
It is the job of a select group of campers to find the artifact and return it to its home on Mt. Etna to prevent the reveal of the actual world to mortals and to bring peace to the Olympians and their children.

Goodbye_Lullaby Title of Quest: Unfallen Snow of Khione Number of Campers: 5 Expected Locations: Mt. Everest, New York, Ireland, Greenland, Russia Prophecy: In the coldest places, the mountians have bare faces, The snow has stop falling, and the mortals are worrying. The only daughter of the Snow, shall restore the snow to it's natrual flow. With her she shall bring a sytar and four, for death awaits if she brings more.
Summary:The Goddess of Snow, Khione, has been missing for a few days. With her disapperence from her palace on top of Mt. Everest, the snow that is suppose to fall, has stopped. Mortals have taken notice, and are starting to investigate. With there being only one Daughter of Khione, the Gods have came to a descision. To send the Goddess' only daughter to find her, and return the snow to it's natrual cycle. But with the mortal's top scientists on their way to make a journey to the top of Mt. Everest in 2 weeks, she and her group must make haste. {I fear it's bad....} Mrrk. Well, the idea is fine (other than the fact that we already have a quest going over crazy weather things), except for the fact that that prophecy just bothers me...I'm sorry, I wrote a sonnet for mine. I mean, it's fine, just not rhythmic enough. That could be just me. Anyway, accepted, but you have to wait for the end of one quest.

Title of Quest: Wisdom's Nuclear Crisis Number of Campers: 5 Expected Locations: Half-Blood Hill, Richmond Virginia, Miami Florida, Isle of Bermuda, Bermuda Triangle. Prophecy: Who the white wolf guards, young maiden, so blunt Will gather a team, compel the hunt For Pallas Athene's wayward son Who's fellows amass cataclysmic guns Only five demi-souls, any more and a price you'll pay The descent of one by the end of the day A dark abyss the man does stow In two weeks time the grey ash shall snow Summary: One of Athena's favorite sons, a prestigious Korean naval general, has gone missing somewhere near, or in, the Bermuda triangle after a freak storm hit his personal yacht and dragged him halfway across the world. After confirming with Hades that her son is not, in fact, dead, the goddess of Wisdom has exhausted all resources in trying to find him. So, naturally, she suspects and openly accuses her uncle, Poseidon, of having stolen him. As tensions rise on Mount Olympus, so too do those on Earth, as the Koreans accuse the Americans of attacking in times of peace. With no leads on finding their lost general, the Koreans threaten the Americans with nuclear weapons, giving them a rather short deadline to recompense. The Americans, having no further choice nor any idea where the Korean man is, can do nothing but ready their own missiles in retaliation.
While Athena is busy trying to postpone the nuclear warfare, she has little time to look for her son, as much as she wants to. And so she goes to the expert trackers and hunters, Artemis' huntresses. She requests the goddess of the Moon to lend her the aid of one of the maidens, and the woman obliges, sending one of the more experienced, but not the most experienced, to help the goddess of Wisdom and diffuse the tension between the countries and gods.

Title of Quest: The Heir to Distruction
Number of Campers: 5
Expected Locations: Half-Blood Hill; Moscow, Russia to St. Petersburg, Russia, and everything in between
Prophecy: Youngest child of the god of gentle death Must make the trek to the place of frozen breath You must capture destruction’s only son To keep the chaos he trails kept from being done Five is the number you cannot exceed For if you do, to the end you will not proceed
Summary: It has come to the attention of the gods that Perses, the titan of destruction, escaped tartarus seventeen years ago actually managed to impregnate a human. Much like with demi-gods the demi-titan is starting to realize his abilities. His father, somehow, has managed to contact the child and is causing him to lash out and create chaos so that the titan may find another chance to escape. Naturally, this is a bad thing and therefor the gods (who are oh so busy) are sending their children to stop this from occuring.
The goal of this quest is to not kill the boy but to stop and restrain him so that more information can be gathered to avoid something similar from repeating itself. Demi-gods with experience dealing with or going through stress, isolation, struggles, etc (not the typical monster attack- I mean like being blind or badly bullied, or something like that) are wanted to try and help the situation in a productive manner, rather than simply scaring the demi-titan off. If left alone immense damage can and will be inflicted upon the mortal world. All Rights Reserved (Thank you Stars for writing my prophecy!)

Title of Quest: Pandora's Reprise Number of Campers: Four Expected Locations: Half-Blood Hill (Camp Half Blood), Manhattan, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington DC Prophecy:
The sacred box has begun to break The treasure within left to tremble and shake The balance is torn, new anguish is born Destruction sought by the women forsworn
Only four can faith restore, Pathos, Logos, Munitor, With Somnia to wisely guide, Decipher fate from what's inside
But steady, for in all your dreams, Lies despair, death's silent screams.
Summary: Everybody knows the tale of Pandora's box - Pandora was the world's first woman, created by Zeus as a present and hidden lesson for man. And with her came her box, supposed to be closed forever. But sure enough, it was opened, and out came all the world's calamities. But hope stayed at the bottom of the box, kept closed and safe. However, a box is a fragile thing. One nudge, one push, and it could fall open, letting loose man's most precious ideal.
Back in ancient times, it was sealed away, buried beneath the earth where no foolish mortal could find it and open it. Secured with a lock made by Hephaestus himself, out of recompense for his creation of Pandora, it was guaranteed never to be opened. But with that lock, a link was made. Just as Olympus and the Labyrinth moved as times changed, so did the box, and it has now landed at a less than opportune position. Directly beneath the White House floors. Every day, as people scurry across that hallway, the hope inside the box shakes and withers. Suicide rates and cases of clinical depression are skyrocketing worldwide as mortals begin to lose hope. Zeus, who does not regret his desicion in punishing Prometheus and putting mankind in their place, believes the box should be left to fate. If it breaks, man will learn to move on without their little "hope", and will be more resilient for it, he reasons. But Hephaestus, Athena, and Aphrodite object, as well as many other gods. They've come to like the humans - after all, they wouldn't exist without them. They know that without hope, humans have no reason to keep living anymore. Someone needs to recover that box, and fast.
This wouldn't be such a problem, except for three little things. One, it's under the White House. Two, there are those that seek the box's destruction. Three, Hephaestus is far too good at his job. When he made the lock, he wanted to make sure it could never be opened, though he never took into mind it might be knocked over or shaken. But despite the instability of the box, the lock is secure, and even more so is the prison that its in. Three keys were made, each very fragile, each very sacred, and were hidden in places across Greece. These, too, moved with the box, and are also in places less than optimal. But not only are they keys, they are trackers - the box is cloaked so thickly in mist that almost nobody can find its exact location. Even knowing the building it's in does little to help. You could walk right over it and have no clue. Only when one has all three keys will they be able to find and retrieve the box to be put in a safer place, but beware - as said before, there are some that seek to eliminate the box, and with it, the world's hope. Mainly, the Pandoras. Even Hephaestus has his difficulties, and in creating the first and most glorious woman, a lot of time goes into it. This means a lot of models, a lot of prototypes, a lot of failures. All dysfunctional, all dangerous. All bent on destruction. And all have escaped from Hephaestus' workshop. Only children representing the core of humanity, a spawn of the godly engineer to work the lock, and one guide that can see into the soul have a chance at retrieving the box, before it's too late.
Prophecy was free-verse, hope that's alright ^^; If not I can rewrite it. Oh, and yush, I am aware there are already three quests in progress. Puttin' it out there anyway, hope I could start it when a quest finishes ^ w ^
EDIT: Rewrote poem! Hope it's better now! ^^;

Puttin' it out there anyway, hope I could start it when a quest finishes ^ w ^ As much as I like your wording, prophecies aren't free-verse. If you wouldn't mind making it rhyme, I would prefer that.
