Bio: Hanabi Katanagi was born in Wales, but grew up and was raised both there and in Japan. Her mother, an average human, and father, a magister, spent many years in Hanabi’s early life serving a noble magic family who often moved back and forth from Wales and Japan. Since Hanabi and her mother were non-magic users, they both worked as maids and servers to the family, while magic users like Hanabi’s father worked on keeping the nobles safe and informed on things going on in the Magic World. The lifestyle wasn’t exactly what Hanabi had wished for, but she enjoyed working with her mother and being close to her so often. Her favorite part of working for the family was probably getting to serve the youngest daughter (Ayame), someone who had become a very close friend to Hanabi over time.
Throughout the years Hanabi stayed alongside the Ayame. Though Hanabi was capable of using magic, she never decided to actually perform it, like her mother (even though she did have a pactio formed with her husband). The young servant girl had enough fun watching the noble do magic for her, anyway. She had no urge whatsoever to join that world.
When Hanabi finally reached about the age of 9, she and her parents came across a bit of a difficulty. At the time, the noble family had been in Wales, so it was time for Hanabi and her parents to move out of Japan again and head over, especially during this time. Hanabi’s parents had heard many rumors going around of some people from the Magic World searching for noble families and eliminating their current leaders and heirs. So this time, it would be different. Hanabi’s parents both left to join the family in Wales while they left her back at the nobles’ home in Japan. Hanabi had not even been aware that they had even left the country, though. All they had told her was they’d be making a few errands in a different city and would be back in a few days. Well, the next time Hanabi awoke in her maid’s quarters, one of the other servants was waiting by her bed, holding a message for her.
“To Hanabi—
This is an official message from the Katanagi noble family. Unfortunately, we do not have good news to bear and we send our condolences to you, but also we have our own situations to deal with. Your parents were right to join us back here in Wales, and were a part of a great sacrifice. Both your mother and father fought well along with many of the others to help keep the remaining members of the Katanagi family alive.
There will be time to grieve later, but we must let you know now. I, Chiyoko, the mistress of the Katanagi family, am one of the few members left alive. My husband as well as our two daughters is no longer with us and besides me, only my brother (Katsuro) and son (Natsume) remain as legitimate members to this family. Usually, this letter would only be sent to inform you of the passing of your parents, but apparently there is much more. With only a few of us, the Katanagi family has become too small and we need to expand. Katsuro and I are already too old to begin new families and Natsume is too young to start his own, but my youngest daughter (Ayame, I am sure you recall) did leave a few requests before she had left us. The most important one concerns you, Miss Hanabi. It was Ayame’s wish that you take her place within the Katanagi family as one of my daughters. Normally, I wouldn’t be one to force things, but… Well, there isn’t much of a choice. You once worked for us, and now you will be one of us. I will adopt you and take you in as my daughter, though I would have done so without the request of my daughter; your parents were wonderful workers to our family.
I don’t have enough strength to explain more in this letter, Hanabi, so please get onto the earliest flight to Wales. We will meet with you and discuss the rest of your future.”
It was literally the worst news Hanabi could have received in a single letter, but she followed the orders given in it and traveled to Wales. The letter had mentioned that there would have been time to grieve later, but there actually never was. Once Hanabi arrived in Wales, everything began to take place. She was adopted into the Katanagi family and became a noble, and soon after she was forced to begin learning what she had tried avoiding her entire life: magic, which she disliked even more since it was magic that had killed her parents. Hanabi’s feelings for Ayame was the only thing keeping her with the Katanagi family, otherwise she would have runaway the moment she read the letter. Those feelings eventually turned into responsibility and discipline that she had learned by living the noble lifestyle. Her magic had gradually progressed, but she was still reluctant to performing it, meaning she progressed slowly. That fact worried Chiyoko (now Hanabi’s mother).
Recently, rumors again started blossoming of the same murders returning to target noble families. Supposedly, they had heard there were survivors and due to some political conflicts, they weren’t exactly happy about that. It was demanded that some of the families would have to separate to remain safe. Around this time, the Katanagis were in Japan and had agreed to the plan. The mistress and her brother were to move back to Wales, the son to America, and Hanabi would stay in Japan since she was most familiar with it. She would be enrolled into Mahora Academy, where the Katanagis knew they could trust the campus, but they also personally requested that special surveillance should be kept on Hanabi, at least from time to time. The last thing the noble family would need is to lose another member.
Personality: Hanabi was once a playful, carefree child, but the life of a noble has changed her over time. She still remains to be kind and friendly, but she is also more reserved. The etiquette and behavioral skills that she was forced to live by occasionally prevent her from doing some things, so she often questions her decisions, but that might also be due to her curious nature. She enjoys the company of others and often gets wary if she’s left alone for too long. She has a somewhat motherly side to her, which causes her to easily become worried on the behalf of others. Hanabi is happiest when she is able to be within creative environments. Note: Though she is naturally intelligent, Hanabi has a terrible sense of direction, and quickly begins to panic when she is lost and alone, thus making her familiar (info about him below) more useful than one would think.
Other:
• Hanabi can be very sensitive to physical pain inflicted on her, and seems to wound somewhat easily.
• Due to that, she gets nervous during physical contact with others and tries to keep a small distance from people around her (like a small bubble or whatever).
• Creative and artistic activities are her favorite pastimes and she doesn’t like sports much, but she does enjoy gymnastics. It’s basically the only sport she can think of where the only one who can hurt her is herself.
• Gymnastics was approved by the Katanagi family to help Hanabi produce some combat ability. Though she doesn’t really deliver pain onto others, she has learned to be flexible and also has speed.
• Though she is unaware of it, Hanabi shows signs of being an empath, being able to sense other emotions and at times has influenced the people around her to become more calm (but again, she was unaware that it was her doing it).

Race: Was human—now magic familiar.
Bio: Blake was originally born in the Magic World and also grew up there. In his teen years, he and his friends often traveled to the Human World to cause trouble and mess with humans. Eventually, their mischief had become too much and they had to face consequences. They were banned from traveling back to the Magic World for the next year as punishment and would also have to be under supervision of another magic group in the Human World. Blake and three of his friends were chosen to remain with an organization that appeared to be for the better, but turned out being a group of magic users who pulled various types of jobs for both humans and magics. Not exactly good deeds, either. Blake and his friends worked with the organization over time, even past their ban, and eventually became higher-ups.
Blake had become a leader to a small group, which included two of his three friends and three others that the organization had personally chosen. His group specialized in assassinations, kidnappings, and at times, more covert operations. Their latest (more like last) assignment had been one of the most important they would have to carry out--to wipe-out the Katanagi noble family. It nothing but another job to them, but after things started playing out and they began their attack, things did not go as planned. Halfway through their attack, Blake's team had lost four members. It had lasted longer than planned, but they had killed a majority of the family. By then, it was only Blake and one of his friends, who was actually wounded terribly; it was obvious they wouldn't make it. Sacrificing himself, Blake fought solo against a magister and his partner, allowing his friend to flee. He successfully defeated them, but something unexpected had occurred. The magister's partner, a young woman with lightly colored hair, left a seal on him, leaving him to be under the control of the Katanagi family. It was planned to have him killed at once, but the family's mistress had another idea in mind.
In no time at all, Blake was given a new form, locked away to conceal himself as a -----BLANK-----. He was also made aware that he would from then on become a partner to a younger member to the Katanagi family. The day to meet her had finally come. The young girl had entered the room and Blake instantly felt that this would be wrong. He knew who the girl actually was. Before attacking the family, he studied all the workers for the family and the girl... Blake knew the moment he saw her hair--it was the same as the magister's partner who had sealed him to the Katanagi family. It was definitely wrong, him serving the daughter to the people he had killed, but he had no choice. The very woman who raised the young girl was also the one binding her to him. From then on, Blake served as the girl's guide, mentor, partner, and friend.
Personality: Though he was formerly apart of an illegal organization whom committed countless crimes, Blake is actually capable of being quite sentimental. He has expert leadership skills, but often fails as a mentor (to Hanabi, mostly). Towards Hanabi, he makes mocking comments and does not hesitate to expose her mistakes. Even then, Hanabi knows Blake is probably messing with her, and usually dismisses it. Secretly, Blake cares a lot for his newly gained partner and only wishes for her to remain safe,

• Default Mode: Blake it merely a small key. Due to the size, Hanabi often wears him as an accessory, such as a necklace, bow, earring, or hairpin. In this mode he is not capable of generating magic, but is still able to communicate with Hanabi aloud or telepathically.
• Offense Mode Stage 1: His form changes into Hanabi's basic keyblade.
• Merge Mode Stage 1: Blake's wings (like in Offense Mode Stage 1) detach and merge onto Hanabi, thus giving her wings. (Basically like this: [ x ] ) Blake's keyblade appearance also changes, becoming more staff like: [ x ] (ignore the girl and creature, remove the flower pattern as well).

• Her weapon of choice is a keyblade, who is actually her familiar (mentioned above) in his offense mode.
• While in (the first stage of) merge mode, the wings disappear from Hanabi's keyblade and reappear onto her, much larger looking. Her keyblade takes on a new form, becoming larger as well; more staff like: [ x ] (Ignore the girl in the picture, as well as the creature.) For a better visulization, she'd resemble this: [ x ] (Obviously, it would look more like Hanabi, though. Just imagine her with those wings and holding the other keyblade.)

Hanabi's adoptive mother. She was originally the mother to Hanabi's late best friend, Ayame. Due to it being one of Ayame's dying wishes, Hanabi felt obligated to join the family. Coincidentally, Chiyoko had already planned something similar to that. She has high expectations for Hanabi and shares a decent relationship with her, though Hanabi stills feels an uncertainty with the woman. Though she hasn't spoken it directly, Chiyoko has shown a few hints of her wanting her son (Natsume) to marry with Hanabi.
[Step] Brother / Possible Fiancee - Natsume Katanagi
Age nineteen. He is the only surviving child of the Katanagi family. Natsume and Hanabi are both very close, Hanabi seeing him as her ideal older brother. Unfortunately, Natsume is still unclear of his feelings for Hanabi, and simply continues to treat her as one of his sisters to keep a good relationship between them. Both Natsume and Hanabi are aware of Chiyoko's wishes for them to marry, but Hanabi seems to always ignore that fact.

Hanabi doesn't know much about Katsuro, only that he is to look after the Katanagi business in the Magic World until it is officially inherited by Natsume. He isn't very social, but he is polite towards Hanabi.

A defensive shield spell which surrounds the mage. It only lasts for an instant and cannot be used consecutively.

Conjures a powerful tornado around the caster that lasts for several minutes. The inside of the whirlwind is calm, like the eye of a storm, but anything trying to pass through the barrier of wind will get blown away.
Limes Aerialis [ Wind Ward Bounded Field ]
A defensive spell which erects a mid-scale magic shield. The shield uses air currents to defend against attacks.

A basic healing spell. It only heals low-level wounds / average human wounds.

One of the earlier healing spells Hanabi picked up on. She had often seen her mother use it before she died and learned it through memory. It's simply worded, but the incantation will prove unsuccessful unless the user fully understands why the three words are strictly what make up the spell.
