A lovely metaphysical duplicate of the real Mount Olympus in Greece. It connects to the mortal world by a long bridge. Here, the gods communicate with one another on their large thrones. It's located on the 600th floor of the Empire State Building, but not everybody can waltz in. You need special permission to pass the security guard in the lobby. Olympus is practically paradise though, golden buildings, cheerful people, and happiness surrounding everything. Most gods live here, but some choose to live in their native kingdoms. Demi-gods are rarely allowed around here, as it is, an area for gods and goddesses.

Alysse Davis {Aphrodite}

Aphrodite walked down the streets of Olympus absentmindedly. There was really nothing to do, as it seemed as though many of the interesting couples were split up due to quests, or just not together at that moment. Ares wasn't around either, so there was no luck there. All in all, there was just really nothing to do, and needless to say, she was incredibly bored, which was not something she liked, after all, who liked being bored?

As she walked, she considered what she could do. She supposed that she could go shopping, although she had plenty of outfits.... Ah who was she kidding! One could never have enough outfits, or clothes. Perhaps she could find Hera and they could go shopping together! That would be nice, a girl's day out! If Athena was around she could join them too. Then maybe they could hit up a club or party, see what the mortals were doing. Yes, that sounded nice, seeing as there wasn't really anything to do on Olympus. And she certainly wasn't going to spend an afternoon with that husband of hers when there was a party to go to! It would be a nice chance to get away. It wasn't as though she couldn't spend some time with him later or something.

That thought in mind, she strode purposefully down the streets, looking for Hera or Athena. She considered asking one of the minor gods who milled about, but then decided against it. She was perfectly capable of finding the queen of the gods herself if she wanted to. That and there was no guarantee that the minors would know where Hera was either.

Not having any luck finding her, she instead decided to try and find Athena first. Walking forward, she began to head in the direction of Athena's temple, hoping the goddess of wisdom would be there. When she arrived however, she saw no one. Sighing with annoyance, she turned on her heel and left. "Where is everybody?" she complained as she left. "Perhaps I shall just head off on my own then." she decided aloud as she walked away, still keeping an eye out for anyone of any sort of interest.

It was such a nice day on the Mount, but it usually was, and to make things better, Athena was able to enjoy the company of her favorite primordial Goddess, the winged Nike. The two friends sat in the large, elegant library that lay just outside Athena's temple, but was not a part of the temple itself. Every book, scroll, slate or parchment that had ever been written was in this library, and at the moment Athena had one of her favorite set of scrolls laying on the table for Nike to admire, "The Art of War? Athena dear, I should have known." The winged goddess chuckled lightly and lifted a scroll, unrolling it slowly. Athena loved spending time with this woman, and looked at her as something of an older sister. Sure, Nike was the goddess of victory and athletics, but she was very wise as well, and had an intellect that rivaled Athena's own. She supposed that was what you got when you had lived longer than most of the gods on Mount Olympus.

At that point Athena chuckled and shook her head, "It's truly brilliant. I couldn't have written it better myself." Sun Tzu, the man who had authored the book, was her son, after all, and the man thought like his mother in every way. It had broken her her heart when he had passed away, and so she had taken these thirteen scrolls as memory to him. The ones that the human historians had found were just very detailed, very authentic elaborate copies, made by Hermes upon her request.

The Grey-Eyed Queen watched as Nike read the scrolls, smiling every time the older goddess smirked in understanding. Victoria, as the Romans called her, was no fool, and knew war just as well as any deity. After a long few minutes of reading, the winged goddess rolled the scrolls carefully and laid them back onto the table, "Very nice. Your son was truly brilliant." Athena glowed in motherly pride, happy that her demi-god child had made something of himself. Most of her children did, but Sun Tzu had really topped the list.

After another moment, Nike stood and stretched her wings, smiling down at Athena, "Come with me, dear. I want to show you something precious to me." Athena nodded and stood, following her friend out the door and down the streets of Olympus, "Nike, my friend, I have always wondered something about you. How is it that you are one of the only gods with wings?" Nike looked over at her younger friend and chuckled, "I have not yet told you this? After all the years I'v known you, you have never asked that?" She looked around the bustling streets in contentment, then replied, "My brothers lost their wings some time ago. Mostly in battle, although Zelus lost his when he tried to sleep with another man's wife. The wife tore off his wings." Athena laughed, smooth and clear, then caught sight of a familiar blonde head in the crowd and called out, "Aphrodite. You look awfully bored."

I'm talking to: Aphrodite and Athena
We are: On Mount Olympus
I think:That its pretty boring here for once..

" Young people don't always do what they're told, but if they can pull it
off and do something wonderful, sometimes they escape punishment."

Mount Olympus, a very quiet place indeed when Zeus, the all father was not throwing a temper tantrum. Heck it was quiet other times too if Hera was not yelling at Zeus for still having affairs with mortal women. Though many counted this as a rare occasion, but for once Hermes was not in a rush to get anywhere. The Messenger of the Gods had no work to do. He had recently visited one of his children on a mission, but besides that there was nothing else to do. Poseidon was off doing important work, and he could not bug Ares today because he was bonding with his children. Behind Zeus' back of course. Hades was otherwise occupied. And apparently nobody had seen Apollo in a while. Hell, Hermes had just gotten back from sitting on Zeus' throne, sneakily of course, but Daddy dearest was not even there to yell at him.

Hermes just like usual was walking around Mount Olympus with no shirt on. Whenever he wore a shirt, he just sweat because of how fast he ran. And mortal women loved a male who was toned and greasy from sweat or water. Their taste varied, and if one wanted to know for all races, they need only ask Apollo. Zeus the womanizer himself could also add in information. At this point hanging out with one of the minor gods was beginning to sound like a great idea in his book. That is at least until he saw two figures in the distance. Jumping onto one of the roofs of a nearby building he examined the figures closely. Female, and major goddesses. His favorite goddesses to be exact. Athena and Aphrodite. Favorite most likely because they were all generally bored around the same time. Jumping upwards into the air, he would have landed gently on the ground across from Athena. " Can you blame her? It has pretty boring around here as of late." spoke Hermes as he placed his hands into his pockets.

GOD OF THE SEAS, EARTHQUAKES, STORMS, AND HORSES

▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇

Poseidon sighed as he stretched his arms behind his head, folding them neatly behind his head as he wandered the streets of Olympus without much purpose. Although the god had his own palace and underwater kingdom to wander about, a change in scenery every now and then was nice. After all, as much as he loved the ocean he ruled over, who wanted to look at the color blue all day, every day, for the rest of their immortal life? Certainly not him. Besides, today of all days was not one for the sea god to be found in his palace. Amphitrite had just recently found about his more recent affairs; five of them to be exact. They had already had a long argument last night about how he was growing to be worse than the king of the gods himself, a sex addict in every right. He may have argued that she had demigod children of her own, but the problem was that she didn’t, at least as far as he knew. Which left him with a very weak argument; “it was bound to happen” hardly ever sufficed as a good excuse. So he was officially avoiding his home and his wife until further notice, which meant staying in Olympus for a short while. Or a long while; it depended on when Amphitrite quit shouting at him and bursting into fake tears every time he walked into a room. The god of the seas sighed to himself once more, glancing at the black Rolex on his wrist for a moment. It was afternoon in the mortal world, so he had approximately another twelve hours to waste before he could go up to his bedroom and allow sleep to come to him. It was going to be a long day.

Poseidon moved in slow, leisurely strides, eyes taking in the landscape of Olympus that he had become used to for millennia. Why were there never any other gods around when he was practically dying of boredom? They had such righteous timing for being unavailable, that was for sure. Though, Hades was rarely ever seen on Olympus; only ever for the rare exception and for the meeting of the gods on the winter solstice. Zeus was probably off being harassed by Hera, so those three were out. As for the rest of the gods, he had no clue about their whereabouts; after all, he wasn’t a stalker. His eyes gazed upwards to see three figures converging into a group. One male and two women. He paused for a moment, craning his neck as a small smile curved his lip upwards in his famous half-smile, the one that drew the ladies like flies to a spider’s web. Not that they were flies, or he a spider, but whatever. The male was clearly Hermes in all his shirtless glory; the sea god often wondered if he owned any kind of covering for his upper body. There was also Nike, who was hard to miss on the worst of days with her feathery wings extended behind her back. And then the blonde goddess was none other than Athena. True, Poseidon despised more than both his brothers put together, but even he could tolerate her if it meant alleviating the immense boredom he was feeling. Or at least for a small while. Poseidon returned his line of sight to what was in front of him and suddenly cracked a grin as he saw a blonde head that he held friendlier feelings towards. He sped up his stride until he was beside her, cocking his head slightly as he glanced down at the love goddess with a barely concealed smile of relief. “My, my Aphrodite, bored as well are we? Though I must admit, I am quite glad to not be alone in having that feeling.”

Artemis/Dionysus

Goddess of women, childbirth, forests, and hunt./God of wine, insanity, parties, and homosexuality.

The first to arrive (out of my two, of course) on the divine mountain top was Artemis. Her currently super bleach blond hair in a flawless ponytail, and her silver eyes looking like the backdrop for her beloved rock in the sky. The goddess acknowledged her half sister and uncle with a friendly nod hello, before simply walked by Aphrodite. Yes Artemis had no real reason to hate the love goddess, the two just butted heads on some subjects. Oh, what's the point in sugar coating it? They would nearly kill each other over a lot of subjects.

Anyway, the goddess sat at her beloved silver throne across room from her twin brother's empty throne and next to her half brother, Hephaestus', tricked out recliner. You know nothing new. She did love her throne, though. It looked like the chair that the character Gaston has it the bar in the famous movie Beauty and the Beast. Kinda ironic. Considering Gaston represents everything she hates in men.

Without anything better to do, Artemis pulled out her iPod touch that Apollo gave her and began playing a self-made hunting game. Okay it wasn't completely self made. A newer huntress that she had helped her. Whatever, Snow was a very nice hunter. Punctual, self-disciplined, smart, and talented. She was one of the girls she would want her children to be like if she decided not to remain a virgin forever.

------------------

Now, it's Mr. D's turn to arrive on the floating stone. Mainly what he has been doing during his vacation away from the nose pickers was with his wife, Ariadne. Now Ari was off doing some shopping with Aphrodite's daughter-in-law Psyche. So, Dionysus was off. He would of gone to a bar, but father dear put him on probation for something he does every damn day! And Ari wasn't even that mad about it! She just went out and started going for revenge!

'Breath in, breath out. Calm down, man. Calm. Down.' Okay. All better. Anyway, MR. D was simply walking along the streets of Olympus. He's done this for thousands of years and still nothing has changed. "Uggh. I'm going to Olympus." Said the god before disappearing in a puff of purple smoke and appearing on his throne. "What's up, everybody?!" The wine god said with extreme enthusiasm.

User ImageHer short, dirty blond hair flickered as a breeze fluttered by, leaning the wheat towards the east. Her eyes followed the gust, smiling fondly as the grass like grain ticked her legs and the moist earth surrounded her feet in a cool and calming embrace. There was a gentle smile on her face as her eyes overlooked the farm, dazing out in her fantasies as she fondly handled the grains, unconsciously healing any small damages caused by bugs or the elements, bringing them to an impeccable perfection. A harsh shout brought her suddenly back to earth as she whirled around, almost sending her sandals flying. She flinched away from his accusations of being a 'crop theif' before glaring harshly up at him, his taller height posing no implications against her powerful stare.

"You do not own these crops!" she shouted back, surprising the man, "You own nothing! These plants choose to grow so that you can live, but I believe their opinions may now waver due to your insolence!" she seethed, plucking one of the grains into her hand, clenching it in her fist. Instantly the crops withered away, leaving only blackened remains. The farmer was struck, horrified at the damage. His blubbering accusations were brushed off with an indifferent glare. "What have I done with your crops? Nothing. I am only going to move these poor plants to a place where they will be safe from your abuse. Next time, I would recommend not using chemicals. It's bad for the plants, and they don't like it. That is, if anything is willing to grow in your soil again. After all, all you really have is dirt." she turned harshly on her heel, striding barefoot through the remains until she reached the edge of the field, where she disappeared in a flash of golden-green light.

Surrounded by wildflowers, her mood immediately was soothed. She gently crouched, carefully moving the healthy, pure soil with gentle hands and placing the seed of grain in the earth. With a whispered blessing and a small gift of power the grain began to grow, poking through the soil. Demeter brushed the soil off of her dress, looking at the flowers which had naturally grown through the gift of nature, like a mother would on children.
"Now you all take care of it." she commanded, as though the plants would listen and obey, before disappearing in a flash of light. After several seasons, the field of wildflowers would be spotted golden due to an amazing grain which withered and died every time a human tried to move it from it's place. Deeming it a miracle, people eventually would leave the field alone, aside from the occasional hiker whom would instinctively take only pictures, leaving only footprints.

Demeter let out a sigh, stalking lazily through the streets of Olympus. Usually she sated her boredom by visiting her children, or wandering among fields anywhere and everywhere, with the plants as her favorite company. After running into that impudent farmer, however, the thought of visiting any field was tainted by the accusation which seemed to hover above her head like one of her brother's storm clouds. Noticing a gathering ahead, apparently of major gods and goddesses. She debated with herself whether or not to interrupt, eventually deciding on the latter-- she had often been chided by the more social members of Olympus for her apparent 'anti-social' nature. It wasn't that she was anti-social, she was simply more accustomed to her peaceful greenery. A flower didn't constantly try to pair you up with 'perfect matches', or dress you up, or lecture you on something you couldn't care less about, or attack you, or insult you or... she frowned, gritting her teeth to calm her rising frustrations. Sighing again she allowed a warm smile to flutter to her lips, revealing two rows of straight, white teeth.
"Hello, everybody. How are you all?" she questioned slightly uncomfortably, she had never felt that she fit in with the rest.

" Young people don't always do what they're told, but if they can pull it

Just to make the boredom fade from existence quicker, Poseidon had entered onto the scene. The King of the Seas had humbled Olympus with his presence for once. Having known Poseidon for way too long he came up with two conclusions for his entrance. The first being that he had nothing to do under the sea. The second which was more than likely correct, he and his wife were having arguments yet again. Laughing silently to himself he watched as the male made his way to Aphrodite and began speaking. At times Hermes did wonder why Poseidon always spoke to Aphrodite first given Ares' nature. Of course that only came about due to Hephaestus' nature. Sighing softly to himself, he began to wonder just how many others of his siblings or uncles and aunts would arrive. Surprisingly enough, that answer came very quickly.

The first of his many siblings to arrive was Artemis, followed by Dionysus. Truly out of all his siblings, Dionysus by far was one of the more fun to be around. Not simply because of the parties he threw. In terms of fun, though he would not admit it would be Apollo. These were simply out of the males though. Hermes could have a general good time with most of the female goddesses. All except Demeter. She spoke with a slight social awkwardness. When trying to make conversation, Hermes would literally have to force the words out of her. But none the less she was fun as well. Speak of the devil herself, there entered Demeter. Truly a remarkable sight. When was the last time they all were around each other if not arguing about how to handle a war? " Yo." spoke Hermes in general to the gods that had recently entered the area.

Athena smiled kindly at Hermes when he appeared in front of her, truthfully glad to see the Trickster God. He was a very good friend of hers, and any time she could spend time with him was always a good time. Although she knew that he had a thing for her, she had made it perfectly clear that she would not ever marry. She was sworn a virgin and that was how thins would stay. And Hermes seemed to respect her wishes and never came on too strongly. Or perhaps he didn't want to get harmed. Regardless, he kept his place, most of the time, and acted nothing but friendly towards her. Unlike his brother, Apollo. He was nice too, but sometimes.... Athena refused to even darken her mood with such thoughts, and instead chuckled at Hermes' comment, "Yes, so it has been. All except to me and Nike, it seems. We were not in the least bit bored." Nike nodded in agreement, white wings fluttering lightly in that perpetual, perfect breeze.

Of course Athena had not been bored. As long as there were those little wells of knowledge around her in a library, she could never be bored. No matter how many times she read a book, they forever entertained her. Although her happy mood was slightly dashed when her uncle walked onto the scene. The Goddess of Wisdom stiffened slightly at the sight of Poseidon, but otherwise did not comment on his presence. She would not let that vile man ruin her day.

Athena nodded to Artemis as the girl passed, glad to see her on the Mount. She was a sweet girl, once you got to know her, and The Grey-Eyed Queen would often times head down to her camp and chat with the Huntresses, who were always a delight to be around. And when Dionysus walked up with his usual enthusiasm, Athena could not help but to grin. The man was something else entirely, and one never quite knew what to think about him. But, as far as Athena could remember, she had never felt any ill will towards the man. She nodded at him, responding to his question, "Good day to you as well, Dionysus."

And it would seem that the last to arrive, for now, was the ever lovely Demeter. Athena was fond of the woman, although sometimes it was a tad difficult to bring her out of her shell. And that truly was no shock. She was a being of the Earth, and nature, and was not very adept at speaking to others. But no matter that, for the Wisdom Goddess simply smiled at her as well, going over to stand beside Demeter in a sisterly way, "Hello, Demeter, I think we are all more or less bored. And how are you, my dear?"

Hephaestus was most seriously displeased. Here he was, sitting on this damned cart full of celestial goods that the Olympians demanded of him, and the blasted mule was too lazy to get going. You'd think, after thousands of years of service to the crippled god, that he would be used to this weekly traipse up the mountain. But oh no, the little jackass just got more stubborn by the year. Perhaps if Hephaestus whipped him he would reconsider his actions. But, unfortunately, the God of the Forges was too kind. He would never hurt the beast, or any other for that matter. Now, that was not to say he wouldn't shout at it, but the mule had grown accustomed to his booming voice and hardly took any notice to him.

And so, with a long suffering sigh, the God of Fire jumped off of the cart and removed the yoke from the mule, who immediately walked off to munch on some grass outside the forge. This wasn't an everyday thing, mind. It was just that some days the mule would work, and other days he wouldn't. And the days that he wouldn't, Hephaestus either hauled the cart up himself or hooked in one of his mechanical golems to do the job. Today he chose the latter option, beckoning one of his machines over and harnessing it to the cart. Then he took his cane, hobbled over and climbed back atop the cart, whistling once to begin the slow climb up the Mount. The Volcano God usually didn't like to use his mechanics for this climb, for they were rather noisy and much more suited to the roar of the forges than the quiet calmness of Mount Olympus. Needless to say, one could here him coming from a mile away if he used one of his automatons to drag the cart up. The smaller ones were quiet, of course, but it took the bigger ones to haul the cart full of metal goods.

Most would think that his cart was full of celestial bronze, so it couldn't be that heavy, but the gods and goddesses and other immortals liked gold and silver and platinum as well, and so Hephaestus forged with those materials. And a golden statue of Eros in all his naked glory was very heavy indeed. That was just one example of the things that the gods requested him to make.

As the cart rocked and swayed up the mountain, Hephaestus thought that maybe he would just give up the pursuit of catching his wife with Ares. After all, it was in her nature to find love where she could, and, apparently, Hephaestus could not provide that for her. The scruffy man sighed and shook his head, wondering why he had to be the ugly one. Also wondering why he couldn't make himself look better. It seemed that, regardless of how many times he changed his appearance, he was still hideous. So eventually he had just settled with the least ugly form he could find.

When he crested the mountain he was shocked to find some sort of gathering of gods, as if they had all suddenly decided to join up and have a party. Figures he wasn't invited. He tugged the rein to the left a little and brought the mechanical bull to a stop beside the gathering, looking down at them all with a raised eyebrow and saying in his rough, gruff voice, "Eh? What's all this then? I come up here to sell some things and all you blokes are blocking the path." His eyes scanned over everyone in attendance, wondering at the sight of Athena and Poseidon in the same vicinity without so much as glare at one another. His eyes paused briefly on Aphrodite and he smiled a small smile, but it almost immediately dropped. The man just wasn't one to show affection, and even the smallest of smiles made him feel uncomfortable.

Alysse Davis {Aphrodite}

Hearing someone address her, Aphrodite turned to see Athena approaching with Nike. She smiled and shrugged. "Guilty as charged, but it's hardly my fault, there's simply nothing to do around here." she told the goddess of wisdom. She glanced over at Hermes as he approached and gave him a smile and a tantalizing wave. She did have to admit that she rather enjoyed Hermes's company, and although he didn't top her list - Ares did that - she had had one son with him, where the minor god was now she had no idea, probably off hitting on someone, minor deity or otherwise.

More and more gods began to arrive, and Aphrodite's smile tweaked. Well now it certainly seemed as though things weren't so boring. On the other hand, it was certainly a strange coincidence that everyone seemed to be converging on Olympus on the same day, especially seeing that it wasn't even the day of a big meeting or the like. She nodded to Poseidon as he approached, although she quickly pursed her lips as she realized exactly why he was there. It was hard for her not to, being the goddess of love and all. "Really Poseidon, must you just ignore the problem?" she asked sarcastically. With a sigh, she continued, "I truly hope you don't expect me to settle it for you." she said simply, although when all was said and done, she probably would, it would be a horrible thing if Amphitrite and Poseidon were to split up, and there was no way that Aphrodite was about to let that happen over a matter that would probably end up being rather silly.

When Artemis walked by, Aphrodite narrowed her eyes and proceeded to do exactly what the goddess of the hunt has done to her, ignore her. She had no reason to talk to Artemis, seeing as they didn't exactly get along. For some reason, Artemis didn't see what love could do, didn't see the beauty in it. It actually annoyed Aphrodite, as somehow she managed to get a bunch of perfectly good girls to follow her on that. The goddess of love would be lying if she said that the thought of getting Eros to try and peg Artemis with one of his dove-tipped arrows had never crossed her mind.

Thankfully, before she could brood about it too much, Dionysus appeared, quickly followed by Demeter. Aphrodite liked both of the dieties, Dionysus certainly knew how to have a good time, even if Zeus did have him on 'probation,' and all for a reason that didn't make much sense to Aphrodite. You couldn't say that anyone was off limits! Love was love, it didn't listen to what anyone else said, same with passion. Aphrodite figured that Zeus was just jealous. Either way, Aphrodite knew that she could certainly pull off a shopping trip with him, if he was up to it of course. As for Demeter, well Aphrodite was concerned that the goddess spent way to much time around her plants and not enough time actually getting to know others. She looked at the outfit the goddess was wearing, which, although it could certainly be much, much better, was not bad. "Hello to both of you. And nothing is up, which is the problem." she said with a smile. Before she could continue with a suggestion to do something, she heard the voice of her husband Hephaestus. letting out an annoyed sigh at his gruff complaint, she turned her eyes away from the man, her mouth in a hard line. She couldn't help but notice the ghost of a smile she gave him and pursed her lips in annoyance. He really wasn't the best looking man, which although was not the biggest issue, certainly annoyed the goddess of love and beauty. How could she have possibly ended up in a marriage with the ugliest god on Olympus? Of course, she knew how, but that didn't mean she had to be happy with it. In the end though, it was more or less the fact that he never really showed his affections. She was sure he loved her, after all how could he not, and why would he have married her if he didn't, but would it hurt for him to at least show it?

Her good mood almost ruined, she turned back to Hephaestus, although her tone almost sounded forced when she spoke. "Greetings husband. I didn't expect you to be here." she said.

Goddess of Love, Beauty, and Pleasure.

Hades sighed, hands interlaced behind his head as he walked slowly along the streets of downtown Los Angeles, in no particular rush to do anything that day. He was often bored this time around, when Persephone was gone in the world above with her mother and the flow of dead souls into the Underworld was steady and would not come in tidal waves anytime soon. The god gave another bored sigh, midnight black Rolex glinting in the high noon sun, the inactive state his Helm of Darkness took when not in use. Ever since the time Ares had stolen it, he kept it with him at all times, having grown paranoid after its disappearance all those twenty-five or so years ago. He still hadn’t fully forgiven the war god for that particular theft, and it suited the both of them just fine; they hardly ever crossed paths for it to matter very much anyways.

The ruler of the Underworld glanced up to his shoulder as talons gripped themselves more tightly around his shoulder, the Fury that these vicious claws belonged to pursing her withered lips in response to something that was not at all apparent. To the mortals, she seemed like nothing more than a raven, and with good reason. If they were to see just how revolting the creature really was …. Well, nothing good would ever have come out of it. “Trouble?” he asked the hideous goddess, raising an eyebrow. Alecto shook her head. “Not at all, my Lord. I simply sense a gathering of power. The Olympians are having a meeting, I suspect.” The Big Three god pursed his own lips in irritation this time around. Were they really excluding him from some all-important meeting, not mentioning to him a thing about it? How positively rude of them! Although he’d rather not associate himself with the Olympians as a whole, he did like to be clued in when significant discussions went about. After all, it was rather frustrating to hear about such things a week later from Alecto, Tisiphone, or even Magaera, and not be able to include his own input. The god silently fumed, his aura revealing this much as mortals began to avoid him, leaving a rather large circle of space between themselves and Hades on the already crowded streets. Not that he hadn’t already been avoided as it was; after all, if any sane person had seen a tall male wearing a floor-length black cloak sewn from dead souls of the Fields of Asphodel, face hidden in shadow with nothing more showing than depthless black eyes that revealed horror scenes that not even Hollywood would ever be capable of, they would be frightened for their life and wish to keep their distance too. The reason the god chose to clothe himself as such in sunny Los Angeles was because he was more suited to dark places and high noon was as bright, sunny, and opposite of that as it could get then. He would only ever wear normal mortal clothing from later dusk to early dawn.

After several moments, Hades finally gave an indignant huff, straightening his cloak. “Well then Alecto, I suppose we should arrive and crash the party, should we not? I’m bored to death anyhow, so we would be killing two birds with one stone, so to speak.” Alecto shrugged on his shoulder, flapping her wings slightly to ruffle the feathers. “As you wish, my Lord. Though, are you certain you would like to visit Olympus? Visits like those always seem to leave you in a terrible mood, which then result in earthquakes shaking up the state of California.” The blonde god waved off her comment. “Never mind that now,” he replied, already stalking off in the direction of a dark alleyway in search for a shadow to use for travel. True, Hades disliked the Olympians as a whole, but this did not mean he hated every single one of them exactly. Athena was truly a goddess to respect, which was even more so when she had claimed victory against his younger brother in the contest for becoming the patron god of the city that was now known as Athens. Artemis was a likeable goddess as well. No, who he really seemed to have a serious a problem with were his brothers, and that damned thief, Hermes. They deserved to rot in Tartarus for all that they were worth, which wasn’t very much besides.

The god slipped into a nearby alley, dark amidst the sun of daylight, rats and other annoying creatures scuttling around his feet and out of the gloom into the street behind him as he stalked forward into the corner, Alecto silent as she rested on his shoulder. Hades sighed, touching the tips of his fingers to the wall of a building, his being beginning to dissipate from its solid form as it merged with the shadows he was so very fond of. After a moment, Hades was gone, bending the darkness to his will, traveling the thousands of miles from Los Angeles to Manhattan in a few short seconds. Barely a moment later, a puddle of shadows formed at the end of an alley in New York, Hades emerging upwards from it slowly; first came the head, the expression upon it as bored as ever, then the torso, still decked out In a cloak to cover the god from the sunlight, and then legs, which abruptly began strolling to the entrance of the alleyway, marching down the street to the Empire State Building. Alecto was still perched on his shoulder, beady eyes scanning the crowd of mortals with distaste at what they saw. The two were of course being given more strange looks and a wide berth here; after all, any suspicious figure could be a terrorist or murderer these days, or Blackbeard come back to life for all they knew, especially with Alecto appearing as a parrot to the pedestrians of downtown Manhattan. Mortals were rather superstitious indeed. As the god neared the (technically) six hundred-story building, he angled his direction to the double doors at the front, pushing open the front doors to find a mortal drooling, asleep in his desk chair, a magazine lying open on his stomach. The god rolled his eyes, not even bothering to be certain that mortals were not glancing his way as he was engulfed in an intense black light, transporting himself straight up to Mt. Olympus. The light could cause blindness when looked upon by mortal eyes just as much as the light of the other gods, though; simply because it was dark did not make it any less hazardous to a human’s health.

Hades suddenly reappeared on Mt. Olympus in a flash of black light, a few feet behind Hephaestus so that he was hidden from the view of the other Olympians, a god whom he had no particular dislike about. They were both rather similar; they were lonesome for the most part, with no one but their wives to keep them company, (with the exception of the Furies and dead mortal souls for Hades and inventions for Hephaestus) who weren’t even with them for very much to begin with. Hades’ black eyes gazed over the faces of the gods, noting the several that were missing, including Mr. Hot Shot himself, Zeus. Humph; not a meeting of the gods then. Hades pursed his lips, hiding the confusion in his eyes as he crossed his arms over his chest, his dark aura disturbing Olympus’ normally content setting. “So if this is not a meeting of the gods, then why did you say it was?” he asked the Fury on his shoulder in a harsh, yet nearly inaudible whisper, hoping not to attract attention to himself. Alecto shrugged. “It was merely a suspicion, my Lord, as I said. I should not be held responsible for your taking my words seriously.” Hades allowed an exasperate sigh to escape his lips at her response, gears turning in his head as to how he would escape before Poseidon could see him and cackle at his utter stupidity.

xxx x It was summer, perhaps the saddest season for the goddess of spring. Despite the flowers surrounding her, listening in on her sorrow, she couldn't help but miss her husband. It was horribly cheesy and cliché, but she didn't like to be without him. In the truth of the matter, she was always concerned as to whether or not he was off cheating on her while she sat in a field like this. The woman could be somewhere in the world, he could set his eyes on her, and they would be together for the winter, and Persephone would go a matter of years without her husband in some cases. Those were the hardest times for her, and she sighed, curling her legs under her. She didn't often wear shoes, and her dress was green with earthy brown ruffles at the bottom.

Her young form was serene, and she offered a soft smile as several flowers reached to her, seemingly caught in a breeze. None would ever realize the life that these flowers held, and it was sad. She moved, laying among the many flowers, yet not touching a single on the stem where she would crush them. She was their friend, not their murderer, and as they blossomed fully around her, tickling her skin with blooming petals, she allowed a fuller smile to escape, laughing lightly. True, she was without Hades, but the fall would be coming soon, and she would see her husband again. The goddess sighed wistfully, inhaling the various scents from the flowers surrounding her. She rolled onto her stomach, not once harming the flowers around her as she drank in their scent happily, eyes closing blissfully. She curled her toes, allowing her knees to bed so her feet were in the air, swaying idly side to side. "I do wish the Asphodel would bloom aboveground some days...Hades did work so hard on that garden for me. And I don't mind the shades in there! Asphodel are beautiful in their own way, and I like that in the Underworld," she told her blooming friends, who swayed in time with her feet.

The goddess giggled, letting her feet kick softly in the air, hearing the compliments on how beautiful she was to get her off the topic of her husband. She thought of her mother, then asked of her whereabouts. All of the roots searched for Demeter's healing, wonderful touch, and finally, an answer was provided. "On Olympus? What would she be doing there? I wanna go hang out too," she said with a little pout. She was childish, yes, but that was usually with her flowers, her closest friends and confidants. She got to her feet, giggling as she said her goodbyes to the flowers, promising to visit them again soon, but she also had rounds to make to other flower fields. She was very loyal to all of her spring flowers through until she had to return to the Underworld, which had truthfully been her own fault. Everyone claimed that Hades had tricked her, but she had done it on her own.

She pondered this as she walked through the fields, moving quickly. She was very energetic, quite different from how she was in the Underworld. In the Underworld, everything was dead, and it didn't energize her like these flowers, but in the Underworld, she had spent a year with Hades before her mother had threatened to destroy the world. She had learned of how lonely he was, seen a side that she alone had permission to see, and decided that he wasn't deserving of that. When he went to tell her mother that he would return her, Persephone had eaten six seeds of a pomegranate, knowing the consequences fully. She still hadn't managed to admit to Hades that she had done that for him, and she probably never would. She married the man, and that showed her dedication enough, though she had to admit that she was thankful every year to have Valentine's Day with him. A smile spread on her face at that; the day before she returned to the Underworld, she went shopping. Every year. For several occasions, but she couldn't exactly leave the Underworld once she was down there. It wasn't in the cards for her. Not that she minded. She loved her husband.

The worst part was her mother. She loved her mother almost as much, and never wanted her mother to be upset and unsupportive. The part that had completely destroyed hope for her accepting Hades was her eating the seeds. Everyone had warped the story, and she partially suspected that Hades knew, but not once had he commented on it. He probably never would. Even married to him for centuries and millenia, she still couldn't read him perfectly, but well enough to know what to say. A giggle escaped her.

The blonde god - who should have been dark-haired, but it didn't matter to her - was sorely missed, but as she arrived in the city's more dense, crowded center, she smiled at men coyly as they stared at her. She was beautiful in an earthly way, and she knew that she could get any man she wanted. But she didn't want any of them, really. If one looked enough like her husband, she might lay with him once, but she didn't have much interest in the others. No one knew her well enough, and to have a lasting relationship with a mortal was impossible. She arrived at the Empire State Building soon enough, and waved at the guard, who nodded in return. He knew all the gods, and as she pressed the proper button on the elevator panel, she watched as he stared after her. She suspected that her husband had threatened him against letting anything happen to her - there had been an incident once in the elevator, so she made sure to be alone - so he was always careful of her presence, always aware of anyone around her.

As the doors opened again, she hopped out, a little bounce in her step as she hummed merrily, sensing the gods nearby and following that sense. She noticed Hephaestus' cart before anything, a large automatron ox whirring and steaming before it. She was always amused by his inventions, assuming no plants were harmed. She then noticed a figure cloaked in darkness, a fury on his shoulder. Now, this left a couple options. Either Blackbeard had emerged from the dead, Thanatos had stolen her husband's clothes, or Hades himself was on Olympus for some odd reason. It was apparent the other Olympians hadn't noticed him, and she caught sight of her mother, Aphrodite, and a few gods that she didn't dislike nor care for. She knew everyone's name, and noted that Zeus was absent at the moment. He'd probably arrive soon if Dionysus was here.

However, this left her to task. Her husband's side was turned, and his hood in the way of seeing her. Therefore, sneaking up on him might be possible today. Of course, Alecto was often indulgent of her whims, considering her amusement came from some of Persephone's pranks. The goddess motioned for Alecto to ignore her as she slowly approached the god. As soon as she was in position, she took off to a running start, and as she collided with the god in a hyper, happy hug, she yelled, "HADES!" Of course, the force of her hug had left her going a bit too far, and they ended up colliding on the ground in plain view of the other gods and goddesses of Olympus, Hades on the ground with Persephone landing on top of him, arms around his neck and a little dazed from that one. She would need a moment before moving...

Nemesis strolled the streets of New York as she kept that same emotionless look with her arched eyebrows. She didn't have anything on her mind, or anything to do at the moment, so she just decided to head back up to Mount Olympus, hopefully, she would be at peace there, and that meant that she wouldn't have to see any of her 'darling' siblings. Nemesis enjoyed it when she was alone. As the goddess, taking a form of a 16 year old teenager with the pseudonym 'Juliette Anthony', walked, she found herself in front of the Empire State Building. The blonde swiftly walked through the doors as she fumbled with the satchel that was slung around her shoulder, finding the pass for the elevator, well, not the elevator - actually, the pass to get up to the 600th floor of the building. Nemesis walked in, flashing the lobby boy a glance as she entered the elevator. He seemed full of ill intent, especially with that look he was giving her. What was it 'checking a girl out'? Ugh, how disgusting.

As Nemesis made her way over to Mt. Olympus, she noticed a few gods and goddesses there as well. Drat. She couldn't be alone. Out of the few, she noted one that she disliked, but not to the extent of hatred, Aphrodite. Always being confused with her, Nemesis never really liked the fellow blonde girl, especially with her want to 'play' with the delicate string of relationships. Nemesis also saw among them, Hephaestus, Athena - one that she rather liked, Hermes, Demeter, Artemis, Dionysus, Persephone, Poseidon, and after Persephone's latest shout of joy - Hades. How intriguing, ok - so maybe 9 wasn't exactly 'a few', but hey - Nemesis was the goddess of revenge and judgment, not math. The blonde kept her same apathetic look that she had before she entered as she tucked a flyaway strand of blonde hair that had come out of her bun. She was often mistaken for younger, and when a goddess was as old as Nemesis - that boosted her ego, just a bit.

Today, the stunning girl was sporting a blue dress that fell a little bit higher than her knees with a pair of stockings underneath. She had a dull red shade of lipstick on, and her eyes were gently lined with black. Eyelashes curled to their fullest extent, Nemesis looked around with her brown eyes as she scanned the area, wondering why so many of her siblings were here. As she began to walk again, the light 'clip clop' sound of her black stilettos could be heard, along with the jingly of her dangling earrings that made an almost silent one - you'd probably have to be a dog to hear it. Nemesis strolled across the length of the room as she thought of her day. Nothing really, as 'Juliette' it was awkward to barge into some criminal's home and arrest them - especially when they were a good 20 years older than her current form. Probably looked like a strange version of reverse rape or something to a bystander when Nemesis tackled him, twisting his arms behind his back. On the bright side, justice was served.

The same cold aura that Nemesis often had when she was displeased oozed out as the blonde female thought about the fact that his accomplice had gotten away scotch free after pleading insanity. So many loopholes in court. There was no way that the equilibrium of life would be restored if people could constantly be excused from crimes, even as small as shoplifting. It just wasn't right. With each thought, Nemesis' brown eyes seemed to turn darker and darker as her eyebrows were arched together, thinking of ways to stop such a corrupt place. Her hands balled up into a fist as she clenched them tightly. What scum. Dirt bag scum. That was the only way she could describe the government here. Just because people slip money under the table doesn't make it right. Nemesis quickly vowed to herself to find all of them - a rather simple and easy task to do when one was a goddess.

Nemesis found her anger being slowly pushed away as her thoughts shifted to her demigod son who was residing at the camp, Dae-Hyun Sŏ, she hadn't had the chance to meet up with him - but she sure as hell knew one thing - she had a little thing of Asians apparently, sure Isaac wasn't, but man - Ethan, and now Dae-Hyun? She should probably lay off for a bit. The goddess found the corner of her lip nudged gently under her teeth as she wondered whether or not to visit Dae-Hyun. Most likely, he could or couldn't carry a grudge for her never meeting him. After all, the children of Nemesis were the best at grudge holding, probably the fatal flaw for most of them.

Nemesis finally broke out of her train of thought as she looked up at the nine of her siblings or at least family relatives, not quite 'siblings' as she wasn't as directly intertwined as most of them were. "So what's the occasion?" asked the blonde as her light soprano voice echoed softly, "After all, I don't believe that we usually gather here unless it is time for a meeting - which the minors, such as myself, are usually not allowed to attend, and Hades wouldn't be either, but, of course, he'd still show up, but that's not the topic at hand, now is it?" The blonde female had a slight aura of mystery surrounding her after her statement as the edges of her lips seemed to turn upwards a tad, but unless one watched carefully - one wouldn't have noticed it. Perhaps the crude, mild, slash playful type of humor was only noticeable to Nemesis, but on the bright side - she wasn't attempting to make anymore puns, at least for the time being. Nemesis had a bit of reputation for terrible, terrible - absolutely god-awful jokes that involved puns, many of them resided as 'spur of the moment' type things that she just blurted out without thinking, the only thing she did without thinking about it first and calculating the cons and pros. At least her speech hadn't reached that stage yet. Yet.

o . o . c ;; rawr, enter nemesis. i need to find a way to build up on her personality more >.<;;
