A forest where one can see and battle many bug-type pokemon. This is a bug cacher or bug-type lovers paradise, but bug-types aren't the only creatures that dwell in this forest, there have also been sightings of Pikachu's in here. Bring plenty of Potions and Paralyze Heal for you'll need it when you face the Pokemon here. Here you can meet Pokmon Trainers and battle them.

Akahanna rubbed her chin blankly. Gazing around the dense growth of trees and shrubs, she let a sigh blow loudly out of her chest. "Well, isn't this perfect." She muttered dryly as she plopped onto the ground. Not caring if she obtained grass stains, she laid her body on the undergrowth and hoped that no unsuspecting trainer or pokemon would step on her as she closed her eyes. She acknowledged Inu's presence by grinning. "We're finally in the forest. The thing is..." She rolled her eyes. "...We're lost."

Today,
Ace thought as he strode towards the exit from Diglett Cave, 'Today is the day I leave my troubles behind!.. Today,' Ace paused, and turned to the shuppet, (which was being as mischeivous as ever around a poor diglett) 'I will finally get you a pokéball from Professor Oak, and we will start a new life, a life of a normal child, a life fitting of that of a Pokémon trainer!' Ace cheered triumphantly as he walked out of the entrance of the cave... and back in again. 'Ok, firstly: Ouch, it felt as if my eyes were on fire, and secondly : maybe we should go out when it's overcast'. Shuppet finished with his torment of the tiny diglett and nodded it's head in agreement, 'Shup-Shuppet'

After his previous negligence to the use of factor 50 sunscreen and shades, Ace and Shuppet finally started their journey to Pallet Town, and eventually, The Pokémon League. Ace walked out of the cave in which he'd spent an amount of his life in, and felt 'Goooood', as he liked to say. 'Hey Shuppet,' Ace said as they walked through viridian forest, turning his head to face his partner. 'I've always wondered, but would you like, or do you have a name? I've heard people who pass through the cave, and they've always got names for their Pokémon, so I was wondering, do you have a preference?' Ace looked at the Shuppet before him, awaiting a response. His answer came, in the form of a lick to the face. 'So... Slobber?' Ace asked, to which Shuppet just stared. 'Ok, then maybe Licky?' Again, he received that unresponsive stare. 'Huh, then what about... Lucky?' And, as if Shuppet had never known joy, he happily raced at Ace, knocking him over with the impact. 'Well, I'll take it that you like that name! From now on, we will be the most magnificent team there ever was! We will be Ace and Lucky, the Pokémon league CHAMPIONS!' Ace roared, running now, through the dense, maze like tree formations, with little Lucky following closely overhead.

Akahanna started as she heard a booming voice stretch across the forest. Scrambling to get a hold on her feet, she slipped on a patch of muddied grass and plopped onto the ground in her mad haste to avoid being smashed. Slightly panicked as she heard the thudding of feet pound the ground, she raised her arms to shield her face and snapped, "Oi! Oi! Stop!" She was aware of Inu bristling his colored fur and baring his teeth in the beginnings of a snarl.

User Image Ace, still travelling at full speed, took a short step to avoid the girl and the snarling Pokémon before him. And, due to the fact that his feet had stopped, but the rest of him was still travelling at the same speed, Ace went flying right over the girl, managing to direct a flirtatious smile at her before his face buried itself in the dirt. Shuppet, not being affected by most of the laws of physics, did not keep momentum when he stopped at the same time as his owner, and stared at the spot where ace had been a second ago before looking to see him crumpled upside down, with a cloud of dirt settling around him. Ace was quick to get on his feet, brushing off the dust he had collected when he had impacted the ground. He walked over to the girl, and tiptoeing around the blazing tail of the riled cyndaquil, and, giving her yet another smile, (this time not quite so dignified) extended his hand to the girl as an invitation to help her up of the floor.

Stifling a snicker of amusement, Akahanna reached out with her hand and lifted herself up. Hand still in his, she began to shake her arm in the casual manner of greeting. Offering a small cheeky grin, she said, "Smooth. Nice landing there, stranger." Eyeing the Shuppet, she allowed her grin to widen and slipped her palm away from his. Leaning towards the pokemon, she cooed, "Hey there." Clicking her tongue, she watched as Inu calmed and approached the new arrivals with a cautious pace. Staring openly at the strangers, Inu puffed out a fume of smoke and quieted.

User ImageAce smiled as he watched her getting closer to him, slightly taken aback by the handshake he grinned when she casually mentioned the little 'trip' he had taken a short moment before. He couldn't help but to take in her smile, feeling it warm up his insides. He glanced at the cyndaquil, wondering if it had the same wonderful feeling permanently. He felt her move away from him, but continued to grin, hanging on to the feeling he had not felt for such a long time. Shuppet was curious as to why his friend was grinning so much, had he pulled a prank? Maybe he was embarrassed about his fall? Shuppet moved away an inch as the girl leaned closer to him, and upon hearing the strangers voice so close, nervously glided behind Ace, peeking only the tip of his head and his curious eyes over Ace's shoulder. Ace smiled at shuppet, and putting a comforting hand on his oldest friend, lightly tapped on the base of it's cloak, sending ripples through the ghostly fabric. Shuppet instantly closed it's eyes and let out a surprisingly non-sinister chuckle, one Ace had first heard when he had found the injured Pokémon, and one he would never forget. Ace Turned back to the girl, 'I'm Ace,' He stated, 'And this is my partner Shuppet, he's shy at first, but he'll warm up to you soon enough.' He winked, trying to convey the feeling that he knew what he was talking about.' he leant down, resting on one knee and extending a hand for the cyndaquil to approach. 'Hey there little guy, sorry for alarming you. No hard feelings?' he queried, wiggling his fingertips at the Pokémon before him in an attempt to interest it. He glanced up at the girl, noticing how the patches of sun flowing through the leaves left light brown highlights drifting across her silky hair. And, for the second time since their meeting, he couldn't help but grin at her.

Akahanna felt her back stiffen from being in the same bent posture for the past few heartbeats, and straightened her shoulders erectly, just as she was taught in her past. Posture is the first step to being neat. Her father's voice drifted past her mind. Mentally shaking off the cold voice, she couldn't help but let a small chuckle flow past her lips at the actions the Shuppet portrayed. Vaguely aware of the older man still grinning, she nervously shifted her weight to hide her slight uncomfortable feeling. Apart from a few childhood friends, she hadn't ever experienced a man smile. Much less grin. But she couldn't ignore her slight fascination at the small action. Her thoughts vanished as she focused her main attention on what he was saying. Blinking, she dipped her head formally in respect and slipped her usual smile on her face. "Pleasure to meet you Ace. And same to you, Shuppet." She hummed softly. Flashing an amused glance at the next few words Ace said, she added, "Think I could ask for your assistance?"

Inu sniffed at the wriggling fingers, unsure as to how to proceed. After a few tense moments, the young fire-type reached out with it's snout and poked the hand gently. Afterwards, he emitted a snort-like sound, as if telling Ace he wasn't going to answer. Losing interest, Inu began breathing out small flames towards Shuppet, though it was unclear whether it was interested in battle or merely asking to play.

User ImageShuppet popped out from behind Ace's leg, realizing the firey Pokémon was speaking to him, and glided cautiously towards it, stopping a few inches from it's nose and sticking out it's tongue in a boisterous manner.
Ace stood up, stepping away from the playful Pokémon noticed. He had noticed the girl's nervousness, despite how well she had hid it, and instantly looked at the position of the sun in the sky. It was quite late, and would be dark in a couple of hours. He looked back up at her and smiled again, this time less flirtatious, and more friendly, responding to her question in a mischievous voice 'Of course you may, although whether I actually respond is entirely dependent on the request and on who is asking for help.' He winked at her, subtly asking her name. He grinned at himself, realizing he had picked up the attitude to questions from his partner, but let it fade back into a smile as he realised he must look crazy to randomly grin at nothing.

Akahanna tipped her head to the side questioningly as she asked, "Do you ah... Have any idea how to navigate in this forest? I got lost a few days ago with Inu here." Relaxing as she noticed his intense gaze flickering away, she plopped ungracefully on the floor and flipped her strewn hair casually over her shoulder. Running her nimble fingers through her locks of hair, she turned her attention on the pokemon and felt her cheeks numb as her smile grew more mirthful. Oblivious to his grin, she added after a moment, "My name is Akahanna. This," she pointed at Inu, "Is Inu, my partner." Switching her gaze from the pokemon to Ace, she giggled nervously, "I hope you won't abandon me here in the dark." Scrunching her nose -unaware of how it contorted her features- she muttered quietly, half to herself, "I don't like being in the dark."

Inu snorted in giddy, flailing his arms in humor as he attempted to stick his own tongue out, but failing when a small sliver popped from his snout. Shaking his head in embarrassment, the young fire-type flared his flame on his back, as if showing his toughness to the Shuppet.

User ImageAce nodded in response to her question, turning his head to look at the line in the ground. His chin was still sore from that. He grinned and turned back to her, bowing slightly as he learned her name. 'It's a pleasure to meet you Akahanna, and the same to you, little Inu' He continued, mock bowing to the Pokémon, and laughing as Shuppet mimicked his actions. As Ace heard the last sentence, he looked at shuppet apologetically, and seeing the little Pokémon roll it's eyes and turn back to Inu, he himself turned back to face Akahanna. He smiled. 'Of course we wouldn't leave you, but may I enquire as to which direction you were originally headed?' Ace tilted his head sideways, feeling his hair fight gravity for a few moments before slanting across his forehead.
Shuppet looked back at the bright flames protruding from the Pokémon and hid behind a handy, low hanging branch. His awed eyes peeked out to see if the flames had startled Ace. No? Shuppet was confused, had Ace not always acted negatively around fire? Wait, thought shuppet, He's keeping cool, but he's still flinching slightly each time a bright spark wells up. Shuppet glided from behind the branch to give Ace a comforting nudge with his horn.

Akahanna turned the question over her mind, scanning the area around her as she tried to ponder where she was headed in the first place. But before she could make up her mind, she spotted the split in the ground and slapped the palm of her hand over her forehead. "Ay, that looks..." Snapping her head towards Ace, she burned her gaze into him as she asked, "Are you positive you're okay? No broken jaws, fractured cheekbone? Anything?" She was a little startled to see his tilted appearance, and scrambled back on her feet to avoid doing something stupid, like staring at the tilt of his head. Brushing off imaginary dust, she cleared her throat and out of nothing better to do at that moment, she murmured, "Inu." Er.... "...Calm down."

Inu glanced at Akahanna, and instantly calmed his flames to it's natural glow on his back. Crossing his arms at the mock bow, Inu snorted in annoyance as both pokemon and trainer bowed. What irritated him more so, was the way they seemed to be bowing at... Snapping his head from his person to the new trainer, Inu bristled his multi-colored fur and dashed to stand aggressively in from of Akahanna. Curling his lips back to a snarl, Inu breathed in a deep breath, and flared his flame back to overpowering life. "Quil!" He spat in disdain.

User ImageBefore Ace even had a chance to respond, or even to think of a response, there was fire. He froze, his body that of the surrounding trees, swaying and burnable. His eyes were wide with alarm, he had been fine with the smaller flame, it had not been as noticeable as the one he was now confronted with, the one which came into existence as fast as an extra carriage on a train of thought. His eyes were set on that flame and it's dangerous, darting tips.
Shuppet saw the flame burst back, saw the fear in his owner's eyes, and took up a defensive stance in front of Ace. His shroud billowing in a way as to intimidate, and his eyes malicious and narrowed on the cause of his friend's suffering. He hissed, a hiss with a frozen threat, one which would thaw if the flames from Inu continued to glow.

Akahanna flinched in shock at the sudden hostile air that surrounded the small group. Appalled at the sudden change, she took a moment of stunned silence to compose herself before wracking her mind to think of a solution. Akahanna noticed Ace's change of nature and felt the corners of her lips twitch down in a deep set frown. What's wrong with him? Not daring to ask aloud, Akahanna glared hotly at Inu and snapped, "Inu?!" Without thinking, Akahanna lunged forward and wrapped her arms around the pokemon's body, wincing at the flames as they scorched over her clothing and skin. Biting back a yelp, she tightened her grip until she felt Inu's body convulse, and simmer his flame to the weakest of sparks.

Still snarling, Inu regarded his trainer's injuries with a worried whimper, but relentlessly continued his savage growling. Despite his guilt, he glared scornfully at the Shuppet, the prospect of friendship flickering.
