Hephaestus
The god of forges, metalwork and fire
Symbol of Power: Hammer

Cabin 9 is the forge, which stocks the armory with regular weapons. In the back is a smokestack for the intense smoke to escape. The inside of the cabin seems to be clear, but the beds fold down. Under the cabin in the earth is the forge. The heat is intense, but the demigods can take it. There's always a pile of scrap metal somewhere, waiting to be used for one reason or another.

Skylar Dark

skylar walks in and looks around and smiles.she says "Way better the the Foster Homes." "The foster she was at had 20 kids in a 3 bedroom home." She said Looking back about her life."Two adults so two rooms for the adults and one for the kids." She said softly."We all had five bunk beds in a small tight squeezed room."She started smiling."That was the one in Florida." She said as she was looking around.
She was thinking "Here we have a nice space. But not for long." "More Half Siblings will show up sooner or later." "Skylar never new her mom she might of died or gave me up." She thought looking at her finger with dirt beneath he nails. She was about to leave so the sat her stuff down and gracefully left.Skylar was going to look around camp.

[[ Whoa! Whoa. This is a semi-literate to literate guild. Meaning you must have (back me up If I'm wrong) at least four paragraphs and about seven sentences each. You barely have one. That is just unacceptable. ]]

Technically, this doesn't go into effect until January. So emotional_world, please try for at least 10 sentences as a starter post please.~

At this point, it would be safe to say that we should try to eliminate illiteracy now. Therefore, a lot of work to improve everything. I suggest trying to meet the minimum now as opposed to scrambling, because as of right now, emotional_world should be removed from the guild at this level.

The young boy had never had a brother.

For a long time, he lived alone with his mother, who had fallen for his father. His father had disappeared, though, shortly before he was born, so Drake had never met his father. A few years into life, she met another man. She told Drake that he would never match his father, but it was something to help Drake along. The young demigod didn’t know how sick his mother was, and he was soon in the grasp of his step-father. When his mother was gone, he took his mother’s place to his step-father, and Drake didn’t know any of it was wrong, really. Not until he’d had a long chat with one of his demigod siblings. In fact, he was waiting on the tall demigod’s return, considering he’d promised to help Drake make an automaton. The older demigod, Nero, may not be the cabin leader, but he sure took care of the younger demigods when he could. Drake sat up on his bed, dressed in jeans and a tee, his heavy winter jacket folded on the bed next to him. He was staring at the miscellaneous pictures from different National Geographic magazines, trying to figure out what he wanted to make. He was almost thinking that he should have Nero help him with a mouse so he had something small that would fit in his pocket.

Nero had an amazing bird that he’d made. It whirred and clicked in rhythm, and the eyes almost seemed to hold intelligence under the spark of electronic, automated life. It was a skill that Nero seemed to have acquired, and Drake knew his brother had been blessed by their father with the craft. Drake only hoped he wouldn’t disappoint his father. He wanted to meet his father one day, and have something to show the god when he did. Something he could make his father that would make his father proud that he knew what he was doing. Of course, Drake barely knew what he was doing. He could manage to put models together with the instructions at home, but he had never actually made anything on his own, and sparks made him nervous. It was strange for a child of Hephaestus to get nervous about fire, considering they were supposed to be in the forge all the time, but this was still his first week at camp.

In his mind, as he lay back and closed his eyes, flames flicked behind his eyelids. He stared at the flames of the house he had inhabited with his step-father, at the gurney being pulled away from the flames, a white sheet covering a stiff shape that was suspiciously humanoid, and the gruff voice booming in his head that he needed to run.

The boy sniffled, sitting up and rubbing at his rosy nose. His life wasn’t bad, and it never had been. He could have gone on as he’d always been, getting molested by his step-father because he didn’t know any better, and just being content through the bullying he suffered daily. However, that freak fire had happened, shattering his life and leaving him in Camp Half-Blood. Sure, he was better off here, but that didn’t mean he wanted everything to change at once. Change was hard. Most kids had small changes compared to this; they changed cities, changed to talking to their best friends on the phone instead of face-to-face. Drake didn’t have friends.

True, he didn’t need to call anyone or talk to anyone from his past to feel happy. He’d been bullied by literally everyone but his mom, and his dad. His dad was probably the reason he was at Camp now. He had to take everything day-by-day, though. He wasn’t used to being able to just walk around without ducking away and having to hide around every corner from the bullies. Sure, the Ares campers were scary, but they didn’t have flaming soccer balls that no one else could see…

The door was being pushed open, and Drake looked up to see his elder brother. “Hi, Nero!

ooc;; It took me a minute to realize from the time stamps that that conversation was a while back... ^^; Anyway, finally got around to posting as my character. Yay~!
