Appearance ⊰ He has often been described as goth, or emo. He tends to wear darker colors because he feels safer in the background, unnoticed. His black hair would fall to his shoulders, but he spikes most of it up with hair wax, or even just a straightener going up. He doesn't really try to primp, and he ends up only taking a few minutes with figuring out his hair. Sometimes, he brushes his hair down flat. He always wears jeans that are a size too small with a studded belt, though the color of the jeans tends to change. He wears a short-sleeve shirt, and often wears black leather gloves. Unless it's very cold, he doesn't wear jackets because he likes the cold more than heat, even though he can take heat easily. He normally wears black converse high-tops or black sneakers. His lip has two ball piercings, and he wears a silver hoop in his left ear.
Parents ⊰ His mother is an Italian woman named Angelina. His father is Hades, god of the Underworld.
Occupation ⊰ He works as a cashier at Hot Topic, though he would have preferred to work at Spencer's.

Angelina Nevio is Vincent's mother. She has always been single, and although she tried to work hard to make good money (which never happened in Italy, really), she depended on the wealthy "child support" money that Vincent's father always sent once a month to help them pay the bills and live. She was a good mother, and when he turned 15, she sent him to New York for his "education." News arrived in the mail that she had been found hanging in her living room two days later.
xx Blaine Ravenpine ⊰
Blaine was Vincent's best friend once Vincent moved to New York. He's the one that made Vincent's "emo" style bloom by lending him jackets and pants with heavy chains and material. He was the one who hosted Vincent in New York because he didn't have money. His family accepted Vincent and helped him through any problems he had with learning English, getting a reputation, and keeping his grades good.

Weapons ⊰ Anathema
Anathema is a set of chain-sickles with a black blade on one side of Stygian iron and a celestial bronze blade on the other side. The chain is made of steel so that he can subdue humans as needed in the case that they'll become a problem and he needs to yank them out of the way.
Extra Abilities ⊰ Vincent is oddly close to dry earth and darkness. If he really wants to, he can go unnoticed unless someone is specifically searching for him. Because he evades conflict, he tends to do this quite often. He is also friendly with Hermes members, because he is a very good judge of value and wealth, and most of the thieves who pawn things off normally consult him for a maximum and minimum price for the quality of the item. In concurrence with material value, he can judge a person's own value and personality quite accurately. As of late, Vincent has been working at manipulating shadows and darkness. So far, he can make something akin the marionette strings through the shadows to manipulate people's basic physical functions. He can also do a small amount of shadow travel; really only once a day. However, he has been working at using shadow travel to conjure his weapon, which is starting to work well. His endurance for it is building.



Personality ⊰


Vincent is a withdrawn character who tries not to speak and argue if he can help it. He always feels most comfortable in a quiet area and very uncomfortable in a bright clearing. He's quite paranoid and tends to evade open and crowded areas because he always thinks someone's going to try to hurt him in some way. There's no real cause for this way of thinking, but he is oddly aware of anything that can hurt him and avoids most things. Most people consider him shy or arrogant, but he is more toward the shy half, though he is quite arrogant toward the Ares kids...which may not be a good way of avoiding conflict. He is very weak, sensitive, and vulnerable. He wallows in self-misery a lot, and curses himself for it.

History/Biography ⊰


Vincent grew up in a small town in Italy, near Rome. He always noticed odd dogs around and weird creatures. His young mind was always so fascinated by them, while his mother was always afraid when he spoke of the monsters. Other people in the village called him a monster, possessed, and a liar. He started to stop talking to people, convinced he wasn't a monster. One day, a village child about his age made fun of him, and he saw a flash of white as he was very angry. To this day, he has no clue what killed the boy.

In New York, he received high marks, but had (and still has) a thick Italian accent. He has issues with some American and English words as far as pronunciation, grammar, and slang are concerned. On his seventeenth birthday, he started seeing monsters again. Talking to Blaine, the family that had taken him in took him to Camp Half-Blood. Unlike most demigods, he had no trouble from monsters going inside, though he doesn't have a cell phone anymore. He sends written letters to Blaine from "snail mail" to keep him updated on everything.

This is his sixth month in the Hades cabin.

Vincent is more interested in Egyptian mythology than in Greek mythology, so he keeps trying to make parallels between the Egyptian gods and the Greek gods, which gets him in a lot of trouble.

With the blessing of their father, children of Hades can summon forth a small army of undead warriors; approximately ten in number, these warriors can be controlled telepathically by their summoner, and can even be reformed after they are 'destroyed', as long as the parts of their bodies are nearby and intact. The longer they are summoned, however, the more energy is used by the summoner.
