This city is off one of the main roads that leads to the City of Taas that is nestled between two mountains called Elaifn and Lamav.

The city itself is a trading city that speacilizes in spices and silk for trade. It's protected by a large wall that goes all the way around the city with gates in the East, North, West and South. Gaurds stand at each of the doors usaully about 4-6 per-shift. Each shift is about five hours long. The city itself is well made. Cracked into four districts: Slums, Traders, Offical, Market. Obviosuly you can tell where everybody is.

The politics are simple. There is a council of 5 who decide upon matters of the city that are brought to them by the Trade-Masters, Guard Captains and Market-Owners. There is never a tie as nuetral is not an viable option.

Carina sat on the end of the corner of the street. A half-eaten apple in one hand. Fixing her shirt she watched the people walk by. At one point a group of female prostitues walk past and she drew her eyes over them apprecativly. She caught the eye of one and winked. The prostitute rolled her eyes and made a very rude gesture at her.

"Some people are just haters...they're the ones who put it out there...I just appreciate it."

Carina stood and threw the apple core into the street muck and walked in the oppisite directions of the herd of prostitutes

Declan walked through the city, one hand on his belt that had his hammer Gren on it. He was bored right now. There was nothing to do at the forgery and quite frankly he was bored of making the small old knives and swords for the armory.

"I need to get out of here. I need to go get more skills and techniques..."

Terra strode through the city at a swift pace, paying no attention to the puddles she stepped in or the rocks that dug into her bare feet. She had heard that there was a reasonably respected dragon trainer in this city, and damned be all if she didn't find him! Or her, she didn't really know yet. Come to think of it, she dosen't know what area they even lived in, just that they were a good trainer, and lived in Taas. She grabbed the first person she saw and asked to know where the dragon trainer lived. The person was useless, so she tossed him back and continued walking.

Ares:The Lost God of War

Ares sat at the widow table of one of the cities taverns. He gazed over the dingy bar and out the window. looking through the slight drizzle and watching the people move. He spotted one girl grabbing a man with fire, getting her answer and hurling him down. Ares smiled as he paid for his beer and stood. She reminds me of someone. I used to be that way on the best of days.

He chuckled to himself as he walked into the crowd and pulled the hood of his red cloak up over his head. he loomed over most of the crowd. his 6'3 and 250 pound body making him a standout. most parted to let him pass, but one girl who he accidentally bumped into on the way by. "Excuse me miss" he said to the green and white clad girl. The old me would be on top of her already. Ares thought as he gave an appolgetic smile to the young woman.

Terra had questioned eleven more people, all of them as knowledgable as dead fish. One man had even gotten the idea she was a prostitute and got a broken finger for his trouble. "Is there anybody," she mused to herself, "in this town that isn't a waste of space?" She shrugged and shook her head. "Oh well. It dosen't concern me once I find that tamer."

Roland The Mercenary

User Image
Roland had travelled miles of that cursed road to get to this city, and what a fine city it was. The wall itself astounded him. He'd never been into big cities as he was born on a farm. The skies, blue as the ocean, were vast and wind blew against his duster making it wave. He pulled his hat over his eyes not wanting to be seen. He had many enemies since he first began his journey to this city. Bandits, gang leaders, marauders, all he'd managed to defeat, however he'd let the leaders live so as to spread his reputation. The wind began to grow cold and Roland seeked shelter in one of the nearby taverns located on the corner of the main road.

Roland Entered the tavern and took off his duster. He folded it and kept it under his arm. The duster was shredded and torn, but he kept it since he didn't have the money to buy a new one. Yet. He took the seat of a man who'd left. He saw the money still on the counter and used it to pay for a berr of his own. Roland was tired form walking, so sitting was a welcome change. After the waitress handed him his beer Roland said, politely, "Thank you, long days and pleasant nights to ya." He took a sip and watched, under his hat, the waitress blush and walk to the others to gossip. He sighed, took a sip of his beer. The taste was terrible but it was, at least, a drink. He finished the alcohol and left the tavern. The waitress waved to him as he left. He pulled the duster on as he walked through the tavern doors.

He looked around the city once again still astounded by its vastness. To anyone looking at him they would ahve seen the face of a tired man. He adjusted his duster and walked to the marketplace. He needed amunition for his revolvers. His hands went to his belt whihc held small bags that held his ammo. Only one of them held any ammunition and that one only had enough for five men. Roland sighed and continued on his way.

He'd gotten halfway when he noticed a man being mugged in an alley. Roland looked around to see if there were any guards and, to his disappointment, there wasn't any. He took one bullet from the bag and loaded one revolver. He walked to the alley and noticed the mugger was holding a knife, or more like a cleaver. Roland stopped three feet from the mugger and looked over to the victim. The victim was in the middle of some gibberish when he saw Roland. He backed up against a wall and started to pray. Roland decided to speak up now. "What is it you plan on doing with that pathetic thing you call a weapon?" Rolands voice was strong and held a hint of anger, not that he was angry he couldn't care if this man died or not. He needed to be paid. The mugger turned around and spit on Rolands shoes. This made him mad. His shoes weren't in the best condition and because of this the spittle sank to his un-protected feet. Roland grinned and pulled out his revolver. This made the mugger sink to his knees. "Don't kill me, please don't kill me!" Roland decided to use this to his advantage. "Maybe I will if you gave me a little something to make me forget about this whole situation..." If only the mugger could see the irony of this sitiation. He reaached into his pockets and handed Roland all he hand. With this money Roland could by at least 3 boxes of ammunition. Rendering the bullet in his revolver useless. "Thank you for the donation. Goodbye." The muggers face brightened up just before a large hole toor it away. The body fell forward into a pile of garbage and his face was now splattered against the walls of the alley and the face of the victim who screamed and ran off. He'd eventually push this out of his mind and return to his job as a farmer but for now, he's going to be scared and trying to get the smell of piss out of his pants for a week.

"That was easy." Roland smiled and continued walking to the marketplace, after a few steps he began to wonder how much money that other guy had and regretted not killing him. He sighed and whistled his way to the market with a pocketful of change. He arrived to the marketplace ten minutes later and headed to the general store.

Ares:The Lost God of War

Ares nodded to the girl and headed on his way, Hearing the determined young woman make her exclamation
Ares smiled his killing smile and turned to her over the crowd. His voice would role over the crowd. radiating from the shadow of his red hood ,and hitting her ear at a pleasant volume.

"If your looking for something you want little girl you will catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I can help you if the dragons are similar to my realm, but I have killed as many as I have tamed."

Roland and Carly, the bandit girl who Roland allowed to live, arrived at Taas at around midday. He asked where Carly lived and she bit her lip, "I forgot...." She said looking down at her shoes and fiddling with her hands. Roland sighed and patted her on the head. "Thats okay, Carly. Just tell me when you see your house." They began they're long walk across the houses of Taas, which were made of wood and brick. They all looked marvolous and expencive, better then Rolands wood and mud brick farmers house. He and Carly turned down an alley after Carly said she took this road to and from her house. Roland looked around, it was dark and perfect for any mugger or killer to hide in. He un-holstered his Revolver and told Carly to stay behind him.

The wind was low and Roland heard everything with his ears. A cat knocked over a trash can, a bird cheep a-deeped on the roof above he and Carly's heads. A homeless man was asleep against a wall and Roland considered him a threat before seeing the beer bottles around his sleeping form. His chest rose and fell with each breath all of which stank of alcohol. Roland timed each breath as he neared and passed the figure. Eahc breath was even. Roland let out a deep breath, relieved. Thats when all hell broke loose.

A man jumped down from the roof, He'd been too focused on the homeless drunkered to noticed the dark shape on the roof, he held a knife in his hand and lunged at Roland. The knife stuck Roland in the shoulder, Carly screamed. The mugger looked at her and pushed her aside into a wall. Roland looked at the knife and ripped it out and wailed in pain. He took out his own knife and slashed the man in the ribs who backed away quickly and lunged at Roland who immediatly blocked the blow with his knife. The mugger reached behind his back and pulled out a second knife, and thrust it forward towards Rolands heart. Roland saw the knife and placed his hand in the way of the blade. It went through and Roland fought to keep the pain away. Roland kicked the man in the groin, who buckled under the blow and cut Rolands legs as he went down. The pain was agonizing now and Roland fought back the need to faint. He pulled out his Revolver and clicked the trigger. Nothing. The bullet was a misfire. He flipped the gun over and used it to bash the head in of the mugger. "Ughh!" He fell over and Roland continued the beating. The man was dead after the seond hit with his skull caved in, but Roland continued beating him untill there was nothing left of the head but a mush. Carly began to cry and Roland stopped. He looked at his kill and was a bit suprised himself. He looked back to Carly. "Lets...lets keep looking."

At the end of the Alley Roland had Carly in his arms once again. He looked around and saw an old couple. "'Excuse me, do you know this girls parents?" Roland asked, they nodded and pointed to the house at the end of the street. "Thank you." Roland said he tipped his hat to the couple and ran to the house, Carly still in his hands. He reached the house in a matter or seconds and let Carly back onto ground. He knocked on the door and immediatly a couple appeared in the doorway. "Hello- Carly!" The mother rushed to embrace the girl. "Where have you been?!" she asked and Carly told he rmother the story without leaving anything out. The mother looked back to Roland who's hat hid his eyes and the shadow of it darkened the rest of his face. "So," she said. "Your Carly's savior, well we might as well reward you." She was obviously angry with him, but her voice also held a hint of fear. The father of Carly ran back into the house and came out with 100 gold pieces. He handed them to Roland. "Here, thank you for saving our daughter." Roland handed him fifty of the hundred and said, "Keep it, your going to need it to feed and clothe Carly in the days to come." and with that Roland gave Carly one final hug and walked off, his pockets were full but his heart was empty.

Terra glanced at the large man in the red cloak, wearing her ever-present bored expression. "You kill dragons? Then don't talk to me," she commanded, not even pausing her steps. She examined the people in front of her as she walked, watching for the stance of one who has dealt with many dragons. You could always tell from the careful way they held themselves; Commanding but friendly. The best ones have burn scars and maybe even the dotted scars of a baby dragon's bite.

Roland The Mercenary

User Image

Roland brushed past a girl who said something about killing dragons. Though Roland had never seen one, he knew they existed and he planned on killing one and bringing its head to a makret. He wondered how much one would be worth, at least a thousand he supposed. Then again it depended on the size and weight of the dragons head. He sighed and turned around to face the girl. "You, girl, how much would a dragons head be?" He asked her with a bored expression and looked into her eyes, I'll kill you if you try anything with me. his eyes seemed to say as he pushed back his duster to reveal a fully loaded Revolver, a bloodied knife coververed in the blood of children, and another Revolver. A closer look at Rolands duster showed the dark red strains of blood. His hat was covered in it as well. He let his hand and duster fall bakc to they're original palces. "How much?" He asked, his blue Bombardiers eyes were fiery and would put fear into a mountain lion.

Though his face didn't show it he was happy to meet somebody who looked like they could handle themselves in a fight, and this girl looked like she'd kill him if he let his guard down for even an instant. He didn't fear her though, the only thing to fear was fear itself. And he had no fears aside from seeing everyone he ever cared about die, and thats already happened. His hand reached into one of his bgs and he felt the silver cross a woman had given him back when he'd lived in a small down and did work as the town guard. The two fell in love as time went on and they were to be married on the 16th of October. But it was not to be. One night an assassin snuck into the town and killed her, apparently she had left a gang leader and he wasn't too happy about that.

Roland looked over to the man in a red cloak the girl ahd been talking to, "I apologize, but don't smile like that, lest I put a bullet in your head. I've seen your kind before, a murderer with no compassion. How do I know your kind so well? Because I'm just like you only I'm more merciful

Terra looked at the new guy talking to her about killing dragons. It kind of irked her a bit, but of course it didn't show on her emotionless face. The blood and weapons did nothing to impress her, nor did they make her afraid or wary. "I wouldn't know and even if I did, I wouldn't tell you. I don't support the killing of dragons. The next person to talk about it gets castrated," she said in a crisp monotone, sidestepping the man and continuing to look out for the tamer.

Roland nodded. "I apologize for that miss." He tipped his hat to her and said, "Long days and pleasant nights to ya." He looked back at the man in red gave a long glare. "Don't F*** with me, don't mess with her, you'll end up dead both ways." Roland let him ponder this for a moment before adding, "If your wise you'll heed my words." Roland turned around and walked after the girl. He appeared by her side in a matter of seconds. "I could help you find the who it is your looking for. My guess is the person with the most knowledge of dragons would be in either the market place or the forges, just watch your back he," Roland pointed his thumb back at the man in the red. "Doesn't seem all to happy at the moment, and I reckon he'll follow us for as long as he can.

User ImageSibuna stepped out onto the main street holding a man aloft with one hand. The man had a wooden stake in his hand. Sibuna threw him against a wall and walked over to him again, pushing Terra out of his way. He picked the man up again with one hand. "Fool!" he yelled. "If a knight could not kill me in my sleep, what makes you think you can simply stake me like I were common trash?! Give my regards to Saint George." With a sickening crack, the man fell limp. The stake fell to the ground as Sibuna tossed him aside like a rag doll.

Terra didn't spare him a glance and jogged away, though she longed to break the neck of the boy who pushed her. She didn't want some stranger that was looking to kill a dragon for its head hanging around her. Honestly, she could care less if he was trying to help her or not, and she just tuned out his words. She just wanted him gone so she could find her next master in peace; she couldn't be worrying about a dragon killer following her to where dragons were in abundance.
