Dormu stretched in the morning light, offering a roar-like yawn to the world. With a quick body shake he crept from under the shade of the fruit tree. With summer here and no rain-clouds in the sky, there was no need for true shelter. His blanket during the night had been the stars.
Winter had been long gone, as well as the harsh starvation that had come with it. Spring had come and with it a mild summer. Food could be found in abundance and what had once been a small scrawny child had grown into a fat, fluffy, near-adult male. With a smile, he trotted down to the pond to fish.

Orurhoo pranced through the grass, a grin on his face as it tickled his legs and underbelly. He paused, an ear twitching. He'd heard a rustle not far to his left and he crouched low to the ground. A quiet growl escaped his throat as he stalked towards the rustling. His ears perked, hearing the splashing of water near the rustle. the splashing and rustling became louder as her tensed his muscles, ready to pounce. He propelled himself into the air, claws extended until her realized that what he was launching himself at wasn't food, it was another 'Giet. He retracted his claws and twisted in the air in the attempt to not land on the smaller male.

Dormu turned his head just in time to see the large male coming at him. Quickly, and with little thought, he bounded forward into the water ahead. Fur soaked, his toes squished into the muddy bottom.
"Hey now. What's that for?"

Deseo's ears twitched slightly, hearing some commotion near by. Interrupting his small journey for the moment, the young adult lowered himself to the ground as he stalked forward, peeking over the tall grass just ever so slightly to see what was going on. The greens and browns of his pelt helping him blend into the grass.

Sumi pranced her way through the field, headed towards the pond. She hoped there would be somebody there. She was tired of being alone. Lune had gone off to be with Cratus, and Samhain had gone off to be alone, and now Sumi was left all by herself and it just wasn't fair.
But, all that in the past, the day was beautiful and the long hard winter was finally over and she could come out and bask in the sun. She came up on the pond just in time to see the dark male hit the ground. "Well that was graceful" she said giggling as she headed towards the pond.

Oru shook himself off, dirt and plants falling from his fur as he stood. He stood there, wide-eyed at Dormu, "Oiyeh, didn' mean t'. Y'sounded like food," he shook one more time for good measure. "Yehno, if y'don' wanna be mistook fer food, y'shouldn' soun' like it."
He turned to the female and snorted, "'D like t'see you try'n not squish a lil' 'Giet like 'im when yer 's big 's me."

She giggled a little. She had never met anybody with much of an accent and it took her a second to understand him. "Well, I don't generally pounce on things without looking." She grinned, looking him over and spotting a piece of grass stuck in the fur around his neck that was holding on for dear life.
She glanced over at the other male looking to see if he was okay. He appeared to be drenched, but otherwise unharmed. "I'm Sumi by the way. What are your names?" her overly friendly demeanor was in full swing as she planted her but on the ground and her tail began to thump not unlike a dog. It was probably very unladylike but she seemed to take no notice of it.

The water felt nice, so Dormu decided to stay. Sitting on the muddy bottom, only the top of his shoulders and his head remained visible. A few flicks of his ear caused tiny crystalline droplets to glimmer in the sun.
Sounded like food, hmm? What had this fellow thought he was, anyway?
Eyes glanced over to the newcomer. "Dormu," he said simply before sinking the rest of him deeper in the water.

Deseo couldn't help himself as he came out of the grass. "And exactly what does food sound like?" He tilted his head, his curious nature getting the better of him. "Wouldn't anything sound like food if its just sounds you are following?"

"'M Orurhoo. M'dad's Agni, 'n' m'mum's Myrmajeas. 'M a right-blooded Mag'up in training. 'N food soun's like r'stle r'stle in the grass." Oru nodded just so. He was a tad bit on the thick side and had nearly pounced many a poor 'Giet with his food senses.

Once again, Dante had been stricken with wanderlust. So, here he was, making his merry way through the valley near the water's edge, singing a jovial song of epic romance to himself for company. However, his music faltered as his ears detected the sounds of multiple 'Giet ahead. Including the dulcet tones of a lady. His interest was piqued. Dante strolled leisurely along the shore until he reached the congregation. His attention, however, was immediately seized by the lady of the group with her cream coat and crimson markings. A beauty, indeed! "Greetings, mi'lady," he said gallantly, addressing Sumi and giving her a sweeping bow. "I must admit that it has made my travels well worth while to have stumbled across such a beauty as yourself."

Sumi giggled as Oru finished speaking. She was oblivious to the fact that it made her sound like kind of a ditz, but in all honesty, she could be kind of ditzy.
As Dante entered the clearing, she, as usual, immediately liked him. She tended to like everybody that way. When he spoke to her, she grinned widely and looked him over, "Why aren't you quite the flirt?" she asked teasingly, calling him out, but not complaining. "And who might you be?" she asked, giving the handsome male the once over, again.

Dante smiled charmingly, noticing how her eyes seemed to approve of his appearance. Of course, this only served to feed his already-inflated ego.
"But I mean every word," he assured her, his voice reflecting his sincerity. "I am Dante. Might I have the honor of knowing your name?"
A connoisseur of all things female, he did not mind that this particular beauty was obviously air-headed. He appreciated females of every variety. After all, each was unique and fascinating in her own way. He was of the opinion that her ditzy attitude only added to her own, personal flavor of charm.

She giggled again, emphasizing the airheadedness all the more."Why you are a charmer, goodness, you could sweep a girl off her feet. Sumitra, or Sumi if you prefer. I know I do."

"Well, then," he said, not the least put-off by her giggling. In fact, he found it rather endearing. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, lady Sumi. What brings you to the lake shore this fine morning, if you don't mind me asking?"
Yes. Dante was a truly shameless flirt. A veritable Casanova. Unfortunately, far too many ladies fell for his charms and took more out of it than he meant. Of course, he did not notice the broken hearts he left behind.
