I made this topic cause I would have to eventually.
The entirety of the Allen Arc consists of a spell gone horribly awry across campus that Allen Troix casts. It begins to seep into the victim's mind and plays on their fears, bringing them to life in the form of a small scale to large scale illusionary spell that doesn't end until the will of the victim becomes solid enough to break it.
Now, as for gathering willing participants...This can either happen in individual groups to groups of characters. A character can also be involved in more than one. For instance if they themselves are affected, yet also involved in the fear of another character, then when they are both nearby each other the next time, the same character can be pulled into the spell when it hits the real victim.
If you want that though, the group infliction, the other roleplayer should be made aware and agree on what you want to do, then we can talk about how it happens and what happens.
The boundaries of the spell:
-It can be large scale or small scale in an area. Once inflicted, other characters cannot break the illusion from the outside, the characters within the illusion must be the ones to break it.
-If the situation calls for it, the spell can inflict teh mind of someone within the spell. If the victim's fears involve another character, the spell can seep into the extra person's head and cause them to act accordingly to the fear.
-Damage done within the illusion is very much tangible and felt like reality. When the illusion is broken though, any damage: death, wounds, amputations, etc, is undone as if reset.
-The illusion can last any amount of time. There's no time limit, no time restraint, the illusion will ONLY break once one of these happen:
The victim dies or loses consciousness too long within the illusion [Like a BAD END, if you will]
The victim breaks illusion of their own will [GOOD END?]
-The illusion DOESN'T have to be a fear. It can be an insecurity or something that makes teh character uncomfortable to deal with. This arc doesn't have to be depressing and dark all the time, I want to leave open space for something once in a while funny or amusing.
These are subject to change and edit as I see fit.
