Hey ladies. :U
So. I just want to start this thread and ask about when you all think will be a good time to open shop and what not.
Apo, I was wondering if you could try finishing the main thread layout/stuff before August starts. At your leisure of course, I mean. July's a whole month. Hahaha.
Cinq, let me know if you want me to do your custom now or what you want to do with that.
I have setup in my secret lair the threads and things for the opening event, it's all mostly done. I just have to do the two raffle candies. You guys can let me know what you think about that too. But not there obviously. xD
If I'm missing anything, let me know. Or ask me stuff that's on your mind.

I think I'll probably wait on the custom until the catch-the-fish game is over and the results are in. That should give me time to decide on what I'd like for a candy or if I should make other plans. whee
8D Still in squee mode from all of this, but I will look over the G/O thread more closely and post critique later when I'm more cogent.

is converting whatever text you have and putting it in order.
The events are gonna be in-thread, on the second page, right?
I just wanna know if I need to get those all gussied up, too.
Other than that, I don't have any specific questions yet, so... yay!

Apo, if you need any text for certain posts, I can PM those to you. Just tell me which ones you need.
You don't need to worry about the second page.
I don't think it has to be that fancy for events.
Maybe we can move over after the fish/haiku games end. That would be kind of awesome. :B

So I finished the raffle candies.
I think I would like to open shop around July 24th. I haven't organized dates for each event yet, I'm not sure what would be a good order to go. I guess first week would be sign-ups for the CYOA and then after it'll end whenever it does.
The flatsale I would like it to go for three weeks. And I guess the two raffles will each have a week and a half? Does that sound reasonable?
By the way, do you guys have any ideas on games to do after the g/o?

As for games, I can suggest a scavenger hunt, maybe.
What would happen is, you edit random posts in the guild, be they rule pages, those otherworld explanations, or anything.
Alternatively, you could wait until the main thread of RM has a lot of replies, and then edit your posts randomly to include hunt items.
The first person to quote or PM you a list of everything with its page number wins.

Just the text and any bold / italic / semicolons / whatever you like.
That would be astoundingly awesome and easy to translate into the theme.
In fact, if you do it on the mule, I can just go in and edit it without cluttering up this area with mockup threads.
In the meantime, I'll be tinkering with what's on the front page right now.

As a random idea to promote talk in the thread, maybe have a point system for random prizes? Like, every 10 pages, you roll a ten-sized die to determine a page, or generate a random number between ten or however many pages. Then once you have a page, do a random number 1-15 for a post on that page. The poster would have to have posted at least 5 times in the thread before (otherwise re-roll) and they would get 1 point.
Prizes could be pretty small-- maybe 2 points could be exchanged for 10 free raffle tickets and then you'd need more points (5 or 10?) for a sketch and maybe even 30 points for a random monster.
It might be a good way to always have something going in the thread, and to encourage people to speak up. Obviously, you'd control at what point levels the prizes would be given out. :3

Not sure I understand what you mean Apo.
Do you mean make a test thread for RM in the test forum? Or start the official thread and then do edits/fix ups?
Scavenger hunts I feel are a lot of work... But maybe in the future. xD;
I like your point/game/prize idea Cinq. I think that'll be an awesome thing to do during the g/o. I'll work on organizing something like that.

I made a big dent in it last night and I think I can get done today.
If you don't mind, I think the breeding info should go under "semi-customs" or,
at least somehwere in the availability post.
Since, well, babies are a way to get monsters. xP

Maybe there could be some limited ones?
Like if you do cycle them, cycle out five or ten at a time.
It might make people more inclined to buy. *shrug*
Custom prices seem fine to me.
If you think about, the customer is paying for original art
of a character they create; and several pieces of it, at that.

That is a good point Apo... xD I guess I'm just used to seeing it everywhere with it having its own post. It's fine to combine it. If you could get done today, that would be awesome~ :B But of course, take your time with it. Edit: Okay, I'll think about cycling. I'll just have to make a private list somewhere. You guys are free to add to that list too if you have random ideas that you don't want to keep for yourself. xD

I invite you both to take a look and tell me if anything's out of order.
I only made a thread in a "real" forum because, as I've said before, guilds screw up everything!
You're going to need three reserved posts on the front page instead of two because I took up the first in this thread.
I also recommend reserving all the posts on the second page, then deleting all but one or two.
That way, the second page will also be neat and all the real talking starts on the third page, away from all the official info. ⋘★
