• †○||.Teikyo.||○† – A Teikyo is an entity who is granted an extended life, hyper-regenerative capabilities, and an inhuman ability to mold flesh besides their own. The main reason why Teikyo are given these traits is because they are essentially living sacrifices consecrated to the gods who chose them. Many Teikyos retain the traits of their parent gods, and some are given abilities to cultivate and refine for the god's sake and increase the god's power. Multiple Teikyos are rare, but not unheard of. Due to a decrease in the number of people who are less willing to give up their entire lives for it.
Current Age: 14
Bio: Catholina's origins start with her parents.
Her mother, Patience Maria-Renata Allegritio Beneficciore was Italian and Brazilian, yet she was raised in Naples her entire life. Patience's mother, (Brazilian – Maria Madalena Joseline Renata Allegritio), an alchenist and chemical engineer, and father, (Italian – Mafeo Baldassarr Faldino-Giorgiano Beneficciore), an expert Grafter and head nurse at the local hospital, combined had a huge number of people from both sides. It was hard to memorize, so she kept a small notebook to keep track. She lived in constant contact with her relatives, and her father and mother were always bubbly, open, and incredibly jovial and passionate folks. Magic ran thick in the Beneficciore line. They frequently discussed new and old spells, hexing techniques, what was going on in the mage society, ancestral magic, and different summoning venues. The children practiced the gift of their lineage with their wealth of cousins. The emphasis placed on Patience's magical studies never subsided and she was quite the caster in her day. The Beneficciore family excelled in domestic enchantments, hexes, and charms. Especially the ancient art of grafting sigils and seals into everyday items. For extra income, they owned a chain of pizzerias and gourmet style restaurants dedicated to the innovation as well as the integrity of Italian cuisine. An apprenticeship under the guiding influence of her aunts and uncles provided a safe haven for her to distill her interest in cooking. The following years, she attended the Università degli Studi di Napoli "L'Orientale" and immersed herself in her culinary ventures, Asian languages, and Asian cultures. When she finished, she became fluent in Korean, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and English. Not long after, she flew to Korea and procured a job teaching subjects based on what she studied prior to her employment at the University of Seoul. After a while, she wanted to open her own restaurant, however, it proved to be a hard task living on her own at the time.
That was when Hyup-do Viyamanov-Rzaevsky walked into Patience's life. Hyup-do was of Korean, (his mother – Chun-Hei Dae-Jung), and Russian, (his father – Viyamin Daniil Vsevelod Prinkhassov-Rzaevsky), descent, even though, his features showcase Russian ancestry. He grew up with very strict parents and two older brothers, (Kim-Dae & Dae-hyun), while going to school twice a day. One hour of the day was in a time compressed dimension operated by his brothers, Kim-Dae & Dae-hyun with rigorous instructions from his father and a plethora of assignments from his mother (of course, dear ol' dad came from the stringent annals of a secretive and prestigious magic academy located in Nizhniy Novgorod, or The Russian Federal Subject of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast); the rest of the day was dedicated to his proficiency in his subjects in private school. His brothers Kim and Jun taught him everything he knew about cooking, Korean magic, studying, keeping a well maintained household, and to combat other magicians, under orders from his mom, since his father was always slaving away in his study grading papers from his philosophy classes and conversely, his biological thaumaturgy lectures. His mother earned her living at a patisserie and she did a lot of domestic & combat-based magic.
When he got old enough, he had good enough grades to enroll at the University of Seoul. He was already working at a popular, local restaurant, and he earned a bit while his brothers helped from abroad. Plus, he was able to train in his chosen martial art: Jeet Kune Do. Patience met Hyup-do at the restaurant he was working at, and they hated each other at first. For a time, she boycotted the place and vowed the food was pungent. He purposefully enrolled into her classes to leave her nasty notes and to spread unprofessional rumors about her. Confrontations ensued, many of them, in fact that turned to all out wars, sometimes. They risked getting caught since they fought each other with heavy-duty incantations and fierce familiars. That is, until they came to an impasse and created a truce. Later on, they started to get to know each other on an intimate basis. They never got married, but stayed together, instead and that was when Catholina came to be.
Catholina was born in Seoul National University Hospital. She was a bouncy baby girl, all smiles and laughter, and rosy cheeks. As she grew, her mother would teach her other languages and offensive enchantments, while her father taught her counter-hexes, defensive martial arts, how to cook, and challenged her to do her best. In turn, she taught them how to do Calculus, Thermodynamics, and Organic Chemistry at age 5. Their family life was very fast-paced and intensive, but they always allowed time for her to be a kid. They would take trips to Naples and she got to know her rambunctious relatives on her mother's side. Her grandpa and grandma always looked after her, fawned over her, and gave her books and lectures, sweets and presents. When they got back home to Seoul, Uncle Kim and Uncle Dae visited their little brother very often from the coast of Japan and always kept tabs on their niece. They often whisked her away every other weekend, gave her the latest gadgets and newest toys, taught her magic, and usually, they saved her from scoldings and shared special moments with her. Training from those two was strenuous and toilsome.
She attended school in Seoul's highly competitive educational system and was easily bumped up several grades because of her blooming genius and intellectual prowess. When she turned seven, she was ready for university-level work. She tinkered and experimented with radios, T.V.'s, computers, and pretty much anything else she could get her hands on to express her budding curiosity and flourishing creativity.
This was problematic.
The classes she sat through became much too mundane for her overactive mind to really pay attention. She started all sorts of trouble in class. Sometimes, she would taunt other students, or get too frustrated because they didn't know what she was talking about. Other times, she would take over the lecture entirely and teach the class herself. Her mother and father were exasperated and she became very burdensome to deal with. Kim-Dae and Dae-Hyun disciplined her accordingly, but that didn't cease her irritable behavior. Patience and Hyup-do wracked their brains together to find a solution. Journeying from one campus to the other. They took Catholina for counseling and dragged her to interviews for various private schools. All attempts were firmly rejected.
Finally, they found something. There was one school that would challenge her on all levels and place her into the high level classes she desired so much.
Mahora Academy.
By the time she was eight, she was already enrolled. The decision was a hard one, but Patience and Hyup-do went through with it and moved to Tokyo with the help of Hyup-do's brothers. They stayed in Japan for their studies, anyway, so the family had a place to stay. It's a fairly impressive home with more than enough room for eight people. From the generosity of her uncles and the support of her parents, Catholina was able to study. The transfer was a bit of a rocky road, but she eventually got settled in to her new and exciting environment and grew up in the school. So far, everything is going well with her accelerated programs. Her last few breakthroughs in science have allowed her to create sentient and biologically identical marionettes. Her constant toiling and working will get her far one day.
Yet...her fate is not as simple as it seems.
Personality: Catholina is always in a rush to get things done. It's like she never has the time to finish all the projects she wants to do. Her determination, discipline, unwavering focus, and near heretical sense of urgency has her labeled as one of the most self-sufficient and progressive people in Mahora Academy. She can multitask, and she has the ability to listen, answer, assess, and bear significant insight to several people at once. She's a bonnefied tornado of endless energy, ripping and roaring through her classes with the luck of the draw behind her. She is never seen idle, or still, and is always filled with nervous, unconstrained energy when she's engrossed in problems she can't solve. Her feelings on romantic relationships are close to none because she feels as though she can't take on the responsibility of being someone's other half when she's always occupied with her own state of affairs!
Other: Catholina can be considered a Renaissance girl, but only in the lax definition of the word. She is an aspiring bioengineer, an accomplished amateur in biomedical engineering, a cybernetics enthusiast, exceptional at neurology, and her ability to pick up on what kind of pathological afflictions affect people at any given point is uncanny. Catholina is a special kind of Teikyo. By touching someone, or even being sneezed on by them, she is able to assess the ailment as if it were as easy as breathing due to her flesh molding abilities. Since she's been at the academy, she's been able to do plenty of things.
During her downtime, she likes to engage in esoteric practices and divination rituals. She wanted to join the Fortune Telling Club and the Chinese Medicine Club, but with all that she's doing, she decided it would be best not to overload herself with too many extracurricular activities. In relation to her esoteric routines, she has a sub-space dimension she managed to create for herself. Within its expansive walls lay an incredibly vast and ornate alter. Over a period of time, she installed elaborate and luxurious living facilities such as hot springs, an enormous, multistory library, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen complete with a dining hall fit for one hundred people, elegantly made bedrooms, and finally, a gigantic, experimental facility dedicated to her countless laboratory projects. No one has ever set foot in this place.
Absolutely no one.
The only entities that reside in there are her numerous sentient experiments which she tends to check up on regularly. Creations deserve love, care, and nurturing just as everything else does, so she puts as much heart into maintenance for her fervent need to do more research and improve on her previous endeavors. During lunch, or class, she can be seen doing multiple things at once such as: reading an anatomy book, drafting blueprints, snacking voraciously while typing, and checking the time to ensure her homework for other classes is done.
Occupation: Multi-talented Student
Appearance: Catholina has lightly tanned skin, golden eyes, pale blond wavy hair worn in a messy, plaited braid down her back. Her bangs don't get in the way, but they're messy, too. She has a little bit of a plump disposition and it gives her a rounded, softened appearance when she's in a tranquil state. Her glasses tend to move up and down her nose when she's in serious thought, but she keeps them on a golden chain around her neck; it also helps that they're modified so she can skim updates that concern her projects as well as solicited information. Despite being a frenzied scientist on the run most of the time, she is has a few ornate clips she made herself in her hair. She prefers to wear conservative clothing, and she typically refuses to wear something that'll threaten the exposure of her underwear.
