The lake front was calm, soft ripples traveling across it from the light breeze that kept the atmosphere from being unbearably hot in the midst of the summer afternoon. The dark haired fae sat on the edge of the main pier, gauging whether or not the water below her was too cold to just take a nice dive into. She was also hesitant, knowing fully that any member of her troupe could be waiting to pull something. She glanced around cautiously, feeling the slightest bit of paranoia. Once the feeling settled, however, Sil finally decided that she had been holding off long enough and slipped off of the pier into the water.
Mademoiselle Silencieux had promised her troupe that she would give them a day off, and they were finally holding her to it. It was uncertain who’s idea it was, but the general vote lead them all to visit the nearby lake for the afternoon. Not that Sil could complain, she liked to spend as much time at the lake as she could. She loved the water, it was refreshing and helped to calm her nerves, and her mind. Not to mention, with her people’s ability to go without oxygen for extended periods of time, she might as well have been aquatic.
Sil didn’t actually resurface for quite a while, and when she did, she was a good distance from the pier. She exhaled a deep breath, feeling much more relaxed than usual. However, she could not get over that nagging feeling that knew of the mischief that her troupe was fully capable of when they weren’t being supervised by work.
