I think I have a few reasons here that make good sense. Feel free to add or comment on reasons;
Love:
~The story is great after it gets going, and is much different from: Save the world!
~The battle system makes for entertaining glitches as well as giving a new outlook to fighting and fleeing
~With guests you can have 4 characters
~Mist abilities can be chained for Epic Damage
~The main protagonist (Vaan) is constantly screwing up like a NORMAL person.
~ Bunny Girls
~Epic sound track
~Emotionally touching momments (i.e Gran Kiltias)
~Weapons change how your characters fight
~New spells~ (I loved this)
~Penelo. Everybody fanboy dream since Rikku in FFX
~ Balthier (I dont even need to explain)
~Gilgamesh (How the F**k did I forget this Epic Hunt/Boss)
HATE:
~The battle system does away with turn based strategy
~The main protagonist is annoying
~The antagonists aren't evil soulless bastards with no purpose but to eradicate everything.
~ They are portrayed as normal. (Above reason cont.)
~Emotionally touching is sometimes cheesy
~The license board is more annoying than the sphere grid ever was
~Members of the party dont level as fast as others (FRAN!)
~The nethicite takes away your mana.
~Bosses can rapeyour characters in a few seconds if you arent over cautious
~Gambits are Bull S**t
~Did we mention Vaan was annoying?

Those do make sense. But Almost none have Anything to do with my Dislike/Like of it. sweatdrop
Good List Though, Mister Ark. maybe you could Add "Gilgamesh" to the Love Part? i Know I Loved him Showing up.
