And you thought they would leave Horace alone to handle the war? Who wages war without Rangers?

My favorite book out of the enter series. Because it has samurai and has a scary part. Although I hoped it would actually have a massive battle sad
Peacefulness can suck sometimes.

Good thing they had a large scale battle using Toscano battle tactics. I actually really enjoyed this book as well because of the blending in battle strategies. The use of the Roman-like battle tactics was a very good touch because the Roman empire was started by a group of farmers the took up arms. It is very ironic that in Nihon-Ja Lumberjacks were able to employ that tactic to gain victory over the usurper.

Technically the tactics the Lumber Jacks weren't Roman, they were just using the roman weapons. John Flanagan somewhat improved the shields to they didn't have to break the shield wall to attack the enemy. But yeah, it was kind of funny to see that some over confident, self important warriors were beat down by the lower class.

I little change but the overall effect was quite stunning. The battle strategy was very good for their position and available warriors. As well as being really humerus to see samurai getting their hinds handed to them.

See I have two crazy golden retriever pupies (7 months old) to take care of, stupid neighbors, prying parents, and a super senile grandmother to live with so I can never read in peace. Can I come over to one of your houses?

I got fed up, bought earplugs took mybook over to the playground by me and read until i finished it. It was ok : I liked 1-4 best but the thing I really liked about this one is that Mr. Flanagan included a battle plan map.

the battle plan map was very helpful when reading and yes I do like the earlier ones better, but experiencing the books with Will grown up is rather interesting as well.

Will maturing got me so attached to him. I'm still coping with the thought that the series is ended... and I don't really like the Brotherband Chronicles that much...
