Description: Deimos is described as a tall slender figure that moves with a sort of distracting grace. He wears a torn and tattered hooded cloak, that he wears at all times, and also incorporates a black cowl that covers most of his facial features; what it hides is assumed to be a brand of loyalty. Under his cloak he wears a set of greyed leather armor, strapped to it, pieces of assorted equipment that usually consists of a variety of knives. On his right forearm he wears a light metal bracer, that supports a retractable hidden knife that he may extend when making precise motions. Most of his left arm is covered in medical bandages, but what it hides also remains a mystery.
History: Deimos was born into a family of four, having only one older sister, and two younger twin brothers. His father worked as a politician that supported the empowerment of non-human rights, while his mother's profession was that of a doctor, famous for creating a cure to a plague pandemic that occured several years before Deimos' birth.
When a suggestion arised within the embassy that the Imperium enact another Exalted March, a holy campaign which leads to war, the first nearly pushing the vampire and werewolf population to near extinction, his father as well as many others, voted against it. In the following month, many of the supporters were assassinated in their own homes, and before his father could suspect foul play, both he and his wife were murdered in their chambers. The manor that Deimos had once called home had been set on fire, but still Deimos and his siblings managed to escape.
After almost a year of living in an orphanage, his older sister was adopted, and due to the seperation, the trio of brothers - Deimos especially - fell into a deep depression at the loss of the one person that kept light in their lives. After that, things became systematic. His chores as an orphan came first, and dealing with his bickering siblings came next. At the age of 9, Shade was allowed to leave the orphanage (however not to extreme distances), and using the amount of time that he was given, he visited the church regularly. Although he wasn't particularly fond of the Holy beliefs, he did enjoy the discipline and education he was offered by his friend, Sir Cazius.
Sir Cazius was a blind templar, who was old but also very wise. He had a strong and unnatural ability to sense things - specifically demonic - and later dipped into the ability with Deimos. Sir Cazius was enthusiastic on Deimos' view on the holy beliefs, but respected it. Each time Shade came to visit, Sir Cazius nonetheless, taught him mostly about the history of the Imperium, basic mathematic skills, and a great many other things about the different lands, and creatures. On certain occassions, Sir Cazius would tell Deimos of some of his many adventures as a Templar when he was young. The stories of Sir Cazius prompted Deimos to have a strong want of adventuring.
When Deimos had grown to the age of 12, Sir Cazius began to train him in the useage of weapons. This remained a secret of course, and was usually practiced in the templar's chambers. It was here Deimos trained with the rest of the Templars, each who taught the boy in the use of many different weapons. This continued for almost two more years, and by then Deimos was particularly well rounded with all weapons.
However, troubling signs were foreseen, and many of the templars were called out to places unknown. Many of the Templars that Deimos had known, including Sir Cazius, had moved further into the lands up north. As a memoir, Sir Cazius gave a medallion to Deimos before he left. Deimos continued his training at night, escaping the orphanage into the Templar's empty sanctuary.
It is then that Deimos was being observed by the Hounds, for showing skills not common for children his age. Immediately the agents knew that the child was special, and proceeded to abduct him in his sleep. Reacting quickly, Shade dodged the attempts of the agent, and called for his keepers. The agent had to escape before he was revealed to the public. The next time the agent would attempt to abduct Deimos, it would happen months after Deimos would expect to see him again.
The very night the agent returns, the orphanage is set on fire, and while escaping the inferno, he is seperated from the rest of the children and meets the agent face to face. The agent did not charge, he bored a message: The Hounds had kidnapped his two siblings. They will be killed if Deimos go with their captors.
In order to free his brothers, Deimos was to be initiated into the Hounds; The process in doing so would be permanent. As Deimos was painfully initiated, he later learns that his siblings had died in the orphanage the night of the fire. Enraged he tears through the lair of Hounds, killing some with his bare hands. He is subdued and tortured for several months because of this.
Although he resists for many weeks, he is broken. He finally becomes a member of the Hounds. He begins performing contracts for years to come.
At the age of 19, Deimos accepts a contract that details the death of a corrupt Knight Captain. He performs his task perfectly, and sets the mansion ablaze to erase any evidence of his own arrival. To his dismay however, he had missed a child weeping and hiding in the chambers above. Here it is where he met a child named Rani, and never being in a situation like this before, he panicked. Deimos had never killed a child. Even after being branded as the perfect killer he could not have done the most mundane of things. He took the child away, and kept her with him as a secret to the rest of the Hounds.
Rani grew with Deimos, having a great impact on his life; Being her guardian taught Deimos many new things. He attempted to keep Rani's past a secret even from herself. Deimos, growing even more fond of the child each day, protected her from harm and also began to educate her, and tell her tales that Sir Cazius had told him when he was her age, and as she grew, she eventually found out the truth of her past.
Despite what Deimos had done, her love for her guardian did not waver. She understood his "responsibilities", something she had also learned about him as the years together had come to pass.
As she grew older, her training regime with Deimos began, Though not as lenient as Sir Cazius, he assured himself that Rani would not take the same path as he did. Her training's purpose would be for only self-defense, for a day that she may be without her guardian. Rani received no easy training with Deimos. This gave her the backbone needed to be efficient in everything she does.
Currently he travels with Rani, escaping the Hounds, trying to live a normal live. However their struggles have only begun;
Here, with a mysterious letter in hand.
