U.S.S. - The Umbrella Security Service is a secret unit of specially trained mercenaries that specializes in infiltration, protection, and extraction missions. As such, their missions involve espionage and intelligence-gathering, contrary to the UBCS' "clean-up" work.

U.B.C.S. The Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (UBCS) was a special forces unit owned by the Umbrella Corporation, specializing in rescue operations during biohazard outbreaks. It is comprised almost exclusively of convicted war criminals and mercenaries from around the world who joined the UBCS as an alternative to capital punishment for any crimes they may have been caught committing.

Umbrella Security forces The Umbrella Security force is responsible for assuring security in Umbrella's most important facilities. They’re your average security force.

Undertaker Unit The Undertaker Unit was a special forces unit operated by Umbrella Pharmaceutical, Inc. The "Trashsweepers" were tasked with the removal of any evidence of Umbrella's Bio-Weaponry. The majority of the soldiers were ironically, bio-weapons themselves, so-called "Cleaners". Their commanding officers however, are humans.

Monitor A Monitor is an internal espionage organization within Umbrella set up to monitor suspicious activity among its employees. Operatives are usually placed throughout the organization and maintain the image of normal employees to help them conduct their activities. Their orders range from spying on fellow employees and destroying evidence to cleanup operations, including assassinations as required.

Investigation Unit: Exactly what it says on the tin, they investigate things…shocker.
The 1st Investigation Unit was an Umbrella team sent to the Arklay Mountains to investigate the employee training facility that was closed twenty years earlier. Commanded by William Birkin and Albert Wesker, was to make an evaluation of the facility for possible re-opening.

So I am now the supreme and unquestioned lord of Umbrella('s faction post) and I take full responsibility for the correctness and up-keeping of this post. Therefore if I've missed something or procrastinate on updating...well this is Resident Evil you should all have guns with which to point at my head threateningly. I think I managed to include everyone important from the games (I'm way to lazy to try to list everyone) so you should know the basic who's who of the most important players and character original to the roleplay should all be marked with an (oc) symbol to differentiate who's from the games and who isn't for those who care.

I'd like to be part of a faction, but don't get on enough to be a faction leader. I do however, get on enough to participate. =0D

S.T.A.R.S./R.P.D
The Special Tactics and Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) was an elite special forces division of the Raccoon City Police Department. It employed ex-military personnel and academic civilians for appropriate positions within the police department. The overall idea was to form a team combining tactically-sound soldiers with scientists, allowing the team to operate in both anti-terrorism and anti-drug operations. A unit of hand-picked specialists working with the Raccoon City Police Department, S.T.A.R.S. was founded in 1996 in order to combat the increasing rate of terrorism and other violent crimes. The special forces team was formed as part of Mayor Michael Warren's "A Bright 21st Century for Raccoon" campaign funded generously and heavily by the Umbrella Corporation. By July 1998, it was comprised of twelve members split into two teams; an "Alpha" team led by Albert Wesker, and a "Bravo" team led by Enrico Marini. S.T.A.R.S. was comprised of two different teams: Alpha and Bravo, totaling twelve members. Each team was organized based on the tactical squad formation, with five field operatives and a helicopter pilot. The operatives were assigned to one of the following positions:

Pointman (field scouting and reconnaissance)
Backup Man (provides assistance to the Pointman)
Omni Man (in charge of vehicle and weapon maintenance)
Rear Security (in charge of establishing contact between the headquarters and the helicopter, as well as treating injured teammates).
