Looking from applicant to applicant as though assessing them before the test Lin smiles and nods. "One of the more difficult things to do in a restaurant is cleaning tables quickly and with minimum fuss or mess. We want satisfied customers but if one comes to eat and there are no tables and no one makes a move to clear a table for them they will leave and not return." At this she looks around to be certain you have all heard her, "I expect tables to be cleared quickly and with minimal mess/droppage once the patron has left. Do not clear it before they are finished we do not want them to feel rushed but we also do not want them to keep others from getting in to eat." Hoping she has made herself clear, Lin walks away.
At the end of the event, the person who has the best overall score in all three areas will will this test. However, there is a final note: For days where you only complete a few tables, this will bring down your daily average. However, for days you are unable to roll at all, you will not be penalized.
We will take note if you are unable to roll for many days of the event, though.

Day One~
Meili was feeling confident in her ability to complete this task in good form. She watched as one after another guests began to leave and she moved quickly to pick of the dishes from one table and get it ready for the next patron. She was very pleased with herself as she finished the table and realized she had done almost perfectly, spilling only a bit of tea on the floor which she had mopped up after dropping off the dishes.

As another customer left Meili hurried to clean the table, she was eager to get this task completed so she could move on to the next. She was doing very well at this task and she was pleased with her performance so far. Perhaps she had let her mind wander a bit too much because suddenly she felt her tray tilt and she frowned as some left over food fell to the floor. Sighing she dropped off the dishes and set about cleaning up her mess.

A couple of young long, not much older than herself left the restaurant and Meili made her way to their table to clean up the mess. She sighed as she looked at the disarray, she would need a new tablecloth for this one as the current one had food spilled all across it. She cleaned as quickly as she could but there was still some sticky residue left on the table when she placed the new tablecloth over it.

She was on to her fourth table to clear and working quickly to gather everything onto her tray so she could take it back into the kitchen and have it washed. Unfortunately when she turned she tripped and spilled the entire tray onto the floor. Feeling embarrassed and angry with herself she stood quickly, gathered the dishes and set to cleaning up her mess on the floor.

Meili was working on her last table for the day and was quite glad about it too, after her last mishap she felt as though it would be best to get out of sight of customers for a little while before she did something else embarrassing. Fortunately she didn't have too much of a problem with her last table although it did take her longer than she was aiming for and there were a few crumbs left on the floor when she had finished.

Meili began the morning with the task of clearing tables and she was please that this had been the area in which she had performed best the previous day. As the first customers left she made her way to their table bustling around quickly to gather the dishes and wipe off the crumbs before returning to the kitchen.

Humming a soft, soothing melody Meili headed back out to begin clearing her next table. Arranging dishes on her tray carefully so that they wouldn't fall over or off of the tray before heading back to drop them off.

As she returned to the seating area she glanced around at the tables waiting for some patrons to leave, she got her wish as an elderly couple stood and made their way out the door and she smiled before hurrying over and doing a thorough job of cleaning the table.

Meili noticed that her quality and speed were coming down the more tables she cleared and she pondered about why that was before taking up a determined mantra and repeating it to herself in her mind and then setting off to clear yet another table.

She was finally onto her last table to clear for the day and Meili smiled to herself as she set about cleaning up all the dishes and wiping the table down until she felt it was clean enough.
