Lin looks around at the applicants, as though wondering who will have what it takes to be her apprentice. "Strength is not something a person would think you need as a host/hostess. But strength is greatly needed to stay on your feet for 16 hours in a day." Again she looks at you, sizing you up as it were, and then does the same to each of the others. "Some days may be shorter but now and again they will be longer. You need not only strength of body, but mind as well to be on your feet and continue your tasks well. So I ask each of you to pull on your inner strength thru these tests. Should you pass you will find that this was maybe the 'easy' part of everything." With that said, Lin gives everyone a smile and begins her day.
For each day, you will roll a d8 and add your strength to it. This total will show the number of hours you've worked in the day without giving up from weakness or exhaustion. The maximum number of hours an extremely skilled and strong chef can work regularly is 16, so if you go past that number, you will be considered to be working overtime.
You will recieve points based on how many hours you work each day, and can see what points you may get from the list below. Additionally, for every day that you roll the dice, you may write a small scene describing how your Long feels at the end of the day. This scene will be worth 2 points for each day, and at the end of the event, this thread might be marked as suitable as an in-depth RP, based on a consensus between the shopowners. At the end of the event, the person with the highest number of points in this test will be declared the winner.

Hong Lu Xing groaned as it reached the final hour of her tedious day. 13 hours for a work shift was a bit too much, and it has surely taken its toll on the poor Long. Green eyes closed in tiredness. 'I had to a 13 hour shift...if felt more like 13 years of working...gah..' she mused as she attempted to stay awake. The customers were starting to worry about Xing Xing and some daring enough to ask if they needed to ask Lin Shui to give her a break.
It was soon getting harder and harder to eep her eyes awake by the time the final hour came and gone. Leaning against a table, the young Long sighed and without grace, collapsed in a heap of tired bones and scales. So much for wanting to impress Lin Shui that she had the stamina to do this.

Hong Lu Xing smiled as she served another customer with somewhat ease. It was a good day and she felt quite rejuvenated. Bowing politely, Xing Xing meandered round the tables and "dinged" an order through. Poking her head through the kitchen door, she eyed the chefs.
"Another order for that special noodles!" Nodding, she went about the usual chores of cleaning tables and popping orders through. 6 hours came and gone a little slowly for her but she did not seem to feel fatigue as compared to last time. By the time she completed her shift, Xing Xing still felt that she could do a lot more. Then again, she needed to rest a little. 'Good day today, I am happy to be able to stand on my feet as compared to yesterday' she mused as she bowed to the customer as they wandered past her.
Now, if only this happy day will carry on to the next...

Hong Lu Xing was quite cheerful today, meandering through table and chatting happily with the customers. She bowed to exiting customers as she set the dishes of cooked food for another. Smiling, she pursed her lips and patted a young Long female on the head happily, having been offered a flower that the young one had held since the start of the meals.
"Awww...it's beautiful...thank you." With that, she set the white flower (which was a weed but she could not point that out to the young Long anyway) on her horn and went about with other customers. The day went well for the rest of the 9 hours that she worked. Xing Xing smiled to herself as she set the dishes into the kitchen sink. The day went well after all, and here she was thinking that she might not survive the third day.

Smiling, Hong Lu Xing squeaked a little when she nearly tipped over a dish of food on her way to a customer. She was lacking concentration today, perhaps because of the wonderful day she had yesterday. Shaking her head, Xing Xing sighed and smiled at a customer wandering past her. Setting the dish for a young male Long, she bowed and turned to get the empty dishes from a rather big gathering. (She recalled a lot of relatives on the table...) Clearing the dishes three and a time, Xing Xing groaned a little. Her paws were hurting... Then again, she still was happy that she got a moderate shift compared to her first day. Smiling after making herself feel better (the first day made her realise that today was not so bad), she spent the rest of ehr shift with a glee in her step.

Hong Lu Xing had expected the long hours today but it turned out to be a whole lot less. (Half the hours compared to yesterday is quite surprising). Blinking, Hong Lu Xing did not really know what to do with herself. The day had started out pretty slow, a customer had complained about the service being slow and all that. The elderly Long had been forgetful as well, ordering the same dish twice. Xing Xing was tempted to roll her eyes but knowing that it was a customer, she settled for pouting when she set the dishes in the kitchen sink instead.
The rest of the day was spent running to and fro between the kitchen and the tables. She did tire herself out a little but she was still expecting more out of her day. Shruggin, Xing Xing sighed and set her apron aside, thinking about what else she could do with her time. Meditation and some more rest would do her some good in the long run.
