"To be a true master chef, you must command your kitchen and inspire confidence in those who work under you. Nothing less is permitted in the upper ranks of Long kitchens," Fei Yi says, and though his voice is calm and cool, there is a confidence in his eyes. "You cannot be weak or hesitant in what must be done in your kitchen. If you are, the kitchen will crumble around you, and you will fail completely. Over the next days, you will each be given the chance to show me how you would deal with the problems faced in running a kitchen. But be aware, this is not for the faint of heart!"
To test your command of the kitchen, each day Fei Yi will present you with a problem that the kitchen chef must step in and handle. It may be something innocuous, or it may be something large. Either way, most of this test lies in your writing.
To determine how successful you are at handling the problem, roll one 10-sided dice, and compare that number to your charisma points. If the number is higher than your charisma, you have failed to contain the problem, and Fei Yi will have to step in. If the number is within 2 points under your charisma, then you have barely managed to succeed against the problem. If the number is within 4 points under your charisma, then you have succeeded well. You are no prodigy, but you have certainly handled the kitchen and inspired further confidence in you from the other chefs. And finally, if the number is 5 or more points under your charisma, you have masterfully handled the situation and inspired great confidence in you from Fei Yi.
Once you know your result of the day, you must write about how you handled it - your thoughts and feelings, the situation and its resolution or failure. This event will be judged by both shopowners.

Despite the best efforts of the hosts and hostesses, one of the customers stomps back into the kitchen, flinging his plate on the counter so hard that it's a surprise he didn't crack it. "What is this swill?!" he demands, pointing at the food. It takes only a glance to see that the dish is not to normal standards. A thick puddle of oil lingers in the bottom of the plate, suggesting that the oils and fats were never strained from the meat. "This is how you serve your guests?! How DARE you call yourselves chefs! I demand to speak to someone in charge."
His voice is booming, carrying easily into the din of the dining room and drawing attention from other customers. If something isn't done to stop him quickly, you may lose the entire day's business... and there is likely to be long-lasting repercussions.

Day One ~
Xingyun jumped as the plate slammed onto the counter and he whirled around to face the furious patron. He had never been very good at handling situations like these but he would do his best. "Sir, I'm very sorry about the condition of your meal, please, allow us to remake it for you." Unfortunately for Xingyun his words did nothing to soothe the customer and he felt fear creeping into his mind, he had to do everything to the best of his ability or he would never be chosen as an apprentice by Fei Yi but this customer did not seem as if he wanted to be consoled. Xingyun tried once more "Sir I am certain that if you will allow us to remake your meal for you it will be to your satisfaction and I will remake it myself if you would prefer it." Once again he was greeted by a furious glare as the man before him bellowed angrily that he wanted to speak to someone in charge. "Yes sir, just one moment let me get Fei Yi for you." He turned reluctantly and went off to find the one who he had hoped would be his teacher but he wasn't feeling so confident about that possibility at the moment.

The woman sends back her food four times before finally setting foot into the kitchen herself, as hosts look on helplessly. She is a determined woman with sharp features and cold eyes. "You!" she says, her eyes staring straight at you. "Is this the way you treat your customers? I keep asking for my buns to be a nice, dark golden brown on top, and yet they're barely even colored when I get them! You're obviously not steaming them long enough!" Her eyes darken. "Well? What are you going to do about it?!"

Xingyun had just finished preparing his ingredients for the day when an upset patron burst into the kitchen... and levelled her gaze on him. He took a deep breath and approached calmly, his demeanor meant to keep the problem from escalating. "I'm very sorry about this ma'am. Please allow me to remake them for you, you are welcome to watch if you would like and let me know when they are just to your liking so that I may know for future visits how you would like them to appear." He smiled brightly at her hoping that it would help serve to calm her down and get her to agree with him, he knew that color could be construed differently by each person and he wasn't sure if his idea of the color she was after would be the same as her own.

The customer hasn't stepped foot into the kitchen, but the hosts all look worried, and one of them murmurs that he wants to speak to a chef. Fei Yi watches them for a moment, then looks over at you, pointing. "Go out and attend the problem," he directs. "A proper kitchen works as a team, even between chefs and hosts."

Here are the Charisma Tests for the day I missed. Please post clearly which day you are answering when you answer. You may answer all three at any time.
Wed (22) A customer has sent one of the hosts into tears with his tirade, and it doesn't look to be ending. It's clearly about the food, but the customer is frothing too much to make any real sense. Fei Yi sends you to handle the problem.
Thurs (23) "You call this a meal?!" The words precede the customer into the kitchen, and when she arrives, she is large, overweight and obviously furious. "It's barely a mouthful! You cannot call what you gave me a 'portion!' It's a spoonful at best!" She glares at you, challenging you to make any sort of comment. "I want more!"
Fri (24) One of the hosts comes in with a horrified expression. A customer has collapsed in the dining room, and it was only healing magic that saved him. The host shows Fei Yi the plate, and Fei Yi looks at it carefully for several long moments, tasting the food and then looking back. "He was allergic to shrimp, wasn't he?" As the host nods, Fei Yi calls you over and hands you the plate. The siu mai, always made with shrimp unless for a special order, has a few specks of pink shrimpmeat among the pork. "A mistake was made," Fei Yi says calmly, instead of pointing out whoever made the dish. "Show me you can calm the family now that our customer is safe."
