A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
The time of the Old Republic has come to an end. The Jedi are all dead and Emperor Palpitine has rose to power. The late Anakin Skywalker has turned to the Dark Side and has become the feared darth Vader. The only hope for the galaxy is Luke and Leia Skywalker, the children of Anakin Skywalker now Darth Vader. At the time of their birth, the twins' mother, Padme, was close to death but managed to pull through. She quickly took her young children to her homeworld of Naboo and hid away with them in the Lake Country. With the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi with her for protection, Padme Skywalker was able to raise her children in secret, with niether the emperor or their father learning of their presense. As they grew older, Obi-Wan trained Luke and Leia in the ways of the Force so they would become Jedi, while sheilding their presence the entire time. As the Rebellion rose against the Empire, Padme quickly made contact with its leaders and joined into the fight, though rarely left home unless it was required. She quickly moved up the ranks of the Rebellion and soon became one of its leaders, but used a fake name for protection.
Meanwhile, the Emperor ran his Empire with an iron fist with his apprentice at his side. The Emperor even took in a young child, named Mara Jade, and raised her as his Hand. Darth Vader's name was quickly known throughout the galaxy and he was known for his ruthlessness and coldness. However, the Sith Lord is always haunted with memories of his dead wife and unborn child, whom he believed he killed on Mustafar before battling his old master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. While he got out of the battle unharmed, he was unable to kill his old master before he fled. Vader wants to find Obi-wan again and finish what he started. While he tries to hid it, he feels great sorrow at any thought of his wife because he feel incredibly guilty over her death since he only went to the dark Side ot save her and she ends up dieing at his own hand.
Eighteen years have passed since the rise of the Empire and it seems that the Rebellion is finally making progress. Luke and Leia are almost finished their Jedi training and have made a good friend wiht fellow Rebel pilot, Han Solo, who lives with them in the Lake Country at the Varykino retreat, along with Han's wookie friend, Chewbacca. While the twins know who their father was and what he has become, they have remained loyal to the Jedi and the Rebellion. However Leia holds some hatred toward her father for what he has done and what he has become. Obi-Wan stil lives with the Skywalker family and watches over the children when Padme must leave the planet. Padme is working hard ot help the Rebellion but is always reluclant to leave the planet since she fears either the children or herself will be caught. the only people that know she is alive are Obi-Wan, Han, and the children. everyone else believes she is dead. The Emperor has trained his hand, Mara Jade, into a fine young Sith and uses her to do his biddings when Darth Vader is busy. At the same time, Darth Vader is busy trying to hunt down the Rebellion and its leaders. He still has no idea where Obi-Wan Kenobi has disappeared to or that his wife and children are still alive. He grown completely cold and heartless over the years and hates to be reminded of his past life, which no longer exists in his mind. Yet the ways of the Force are always changing and it may just be time for the Skywalker family to be reunited after eighteen years.
