o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ power. This can most easily and effectively be done physical contact but even being near her can have
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ a buffing effect on someone’s power. It is not limited to just the powers of other people, her power can
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ also effect inanimate and natural objects. She can, for example, both increase the range of a telepath’s
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ power and / or the signal strength of a cell phone. The degree to which she effects others is determined
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ by any number of factors but while she is still learning to control her powers the most obvious one is
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ her mood. The stronger the emotions she is feeling the stronger her ability works. As of yet she has very
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ little control over her ability; she can force it to work better but she has no ability to make it work less.
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ There is a constant ‘buzz’ of power amplification around her whether she wants there to be or not. Dani
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ sometimes has a hard time using computers or electronics because her powers inadvertently short them
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ out. Blow dryers and hair strengtheners are simply a lost cause.
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ The easiest types of powers for her to effect are those that are non-physical (telepathy, telekinesis,
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ ‘beams’, etc) but she can, and will, effect physical type powers as well (super strength, teleportation,
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ physical projectiles, etc). She can not really ‘pick and choose’ who she effects yet so that general buzz
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ of power amplification around her is going to effect her team mates and her enemies.
o o o o o o o o o power redirection
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ Dani can use herself as a ‘conduit’ to redirect energy / power. Energy attacks (beams, rays, etc) will not
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ effect Dani PROVIDED she can redirect them elsewhere. If she does not redirect them they will effect her
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ just as well as anyone else. She can not absorb power, simply transfer and amplify it. She has the ability
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ to take and redirect multiple sources of energy into a single super powered force and essentially turn
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ herself into a human super canon. Redirecting energy is a bit of a self preservation thing, that is to say,
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ if she gets shot with energy / electrocuted she is going to redirect that energy somewhere whether she
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ wants to or not. She usually will redirect beam / electric type energy through her hands but not always.

o o o o o o o o o Dani has a sense of right and wrong that is open for influence and growth. She hasn’t had a hard life and her parents
o o o o o o o o o did not pass on any particularly strong opinions. She is of a neutral mind set; she approaches most situations intellectually,
o o o o o o o o o not emotionally, and believes the ends justify the means. What ever her actions may be her motivations are never
o o o o o o o o o selfish. Her powers and the powers of others are a constant source of curiosity for her and she is always trying to go
o o o o o o o o o a little bit farther, work a little bit harder, to test her (and their) limits. She has had some experiences that have made
o o o o o o o o o her a bit distrustful of other people, particularly of the super powered variety, but she wants to trust people. It would
o o o o o o o o o not take too much effort to build a relationship with her but her trust once shattered is nearly impossible to repair.
o o o o o o o o o Socially Dani is a friendly, easy to like person. Her pastime of choice is usually something active and sporty but she
o o o o o o o o o Would never turn down a good strategy game. She is chatty and outgoing and tries to keep everyone interested and
o o o o o o o o o happy. She is naturally non-confrontational and when angry or upset would walk away rather than become aggressive.

o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ Dani’s abilities are natural, she was born with them. She doesn't know when they manifested because
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ they require interaction with another power so they may have been ‘active’ for a number of years before
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ she noticed. Electronics have been shorting out around her for as long as she could remember.
o o o o o o o o o entered the academy at age sixteen
o o o o o o o o o reason(s) for entering the academy
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ When Dani became aware of her powers she became very interested in exploring them. She tried all kinds
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ of power amplification / redirection with things available to her (like electricity) but she was limited and
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ had no one to help her. She ended up going too far and almost blew up a federal building. Shortly there
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ after she was approached about entering the academy where she would finally have the resources and
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ training she needed. By this time she was more timid about her powers but she was still eager to learn
o o o o o o o o o o o o ■ so she accepted the invitation.
o o o o o o o o o There are two main reasons someone becomes a hero, personal tragedy and strong sense of injustice. Danica has
o o o o o o o o o neither of these motivations. She came to the academy to learn more about her powers and how to use them. She
o o o o o o o o o is there as more of an academic curiosity than out of any real heroic intentions.
o o o o o o o o o Dani’s parents were nice, well rounded people with good jobs and steady lives. They lived in a nice are of town and
o o o o o o o o o were well off enough to give Dani a great childhood. She went to all the best schools, had all the best stuff and all
o o o o o o o o o the best friends. As a family they were content and happy. There were no great mysteries or trials in her life. She
o o o o o o o o o became aware of her powers when she was twelve years old; she had been walking home after a heavy storm down
o o o o o o o o o a flooded street when a power line snapped and landed in the water. Over the next few years she experimented and
o o o o o o o o o tested to see what her limits were and how much control she had over electricity. It wasn’t until much later that she
o o o o o o o o o learned about her power boosting abilities or that she could redirect any kind of energy, not just electricity. Shortly
o o o o o o o o o before being ‘discovered’ by the academy Dani had gone through a bit of a rebellious phase. She was going through
o o o o o o o o o much the typical teenage drama – no one understands me, I don’t belong, etc etc etc – although in her case it might
o o o o o o o o o have been slightly justified. No one else in her family or circle of friends were ‘different’ like she was, so she went
o o o o o o o o o out to find people who were.
o o o o o o o o o She found who she was looking for in a group of kids from ‘the wrong side of the tracks’. They were street kids
o o o o o o o o o mostly, with too much power and a chip on their shoulders. Each one of them had a problem with somebody and
o o o o o o o o o were prepared to do just about anything to see their scores settled. Dani was uncomfortable at first but they were
o o o o o o o o o ‘her people’ and she adjusted quickly. It was among them that she learned of the other side of her powers and they
o o o o o o o o o saw right away how useful someone with her talents could be for them. She got swept up into their drama, quickly
o o o o o o o o o loosing whatever objective point of view she might had. They weren’t bad kids, not really, but they couldn’t see
o o o o o o o o o past the ends of their noses. Although much of what they did was harmless their activities quickly became more and
o o o o o o o o o more dangerous until one day they decided to go after a judge on the mod’s payroll; an evil man responsible for
o o o o o o o o o keeping many dangerous men on the streets. Dani thought they were just going to scare him but the judge had been
o o o o o o o o o responsible for the release of the man who killed one of the kid’s parents and he wanted revenge. The kid was a
o o o o o o o o o telekinetic but he wasn’t strong enough to bring the building down without Dani’s help. She tried to stop him but the
o o o o o o o o o more distressed she became the stronger she made his powers. She ended up stopping him by shooting him with
o o o o o o o o o electricity from the building’s power supply. It didn’t kill him, but it left him comatose and she had not been fast
o o o o o o o o o enough to save the corrupt judge. But she could not make herself feel bad about how things ended.
o o o o o o o o o Knowing now how dangerous her power could be around other people like her Dani quickly removed herself from
o o o o o o o o o that scene, but it was not long after that that she was approached by people from the academy. She was hesitant
o o o o o o o o o at first about being around people who might use her again but her curiosity (and the promise of morally well
o o o o o o o o o adjusted peers) won her over.

Obviously this is still a bit U/C.
I worked strengths / weaknesses into the bulk of the profile but I'll write them
up in list fashion too eventually. I did not put anything in appearance because
I have not decided what she looks like / don't care what she looks like >___> .
I would really like some crits because I have worked the character out very well
in my head but I doubt I explained her very well on paper in here and I would
like to fix that. Please let me know your questions so I can make myself clear!
Edit: Upon rereading a felt the need to say that she is not as dramatic as her
personality and history would make her seem >_____> .

more details on how her powers work would be lovely.
can she redirect physical energy as well? like, if Person A punches her right palm, can she transfer the power of the punch to her left fist?
can she hold the "absorbed" power for a couple of seconds before she redirects it, or does it have to be instant?
i really love your idea for her power. o vo
also, if she believes that the means justifies the end, wouldn't she agree to killing the corrupt judge?
and tbh, she seems like a push over. i think she'll have a lot of trust issues, unless she happens to only meet people who are sincere.

Thank you for the crit =D ! So quick too! I'll answer your questions and then work the information into the profile proper later~.
[ 1 ] Her powers of redirection work only on 'energy' type attacks. If someone were to punch her in the stomach, she would go down xD . However, if the person were to punch her in the stomach with an electrified fist she would be hurt by the punch but not the electricity (and she could redirect that to her fist if she were so inclined). I was originally thinking that she would be able to absorb physical force / have someone amplify their physical force through her like they can with energy type attacks but I thought that that would lend itself more to someone with ability absorbing or mimicking.
[ 2 ] Right now she can not hold onto power for any longer than it takes to travel through her, however as she gets stronger / gains more control she may be able to hold onto it longer. We shall see~.
[ 3 ] Thank you <3 .
[ 4 ] She believes the ends justify the means but she still a teenager and a more-or-less good person. Murder is scary and confusing and it was her friend who was attempting it. She would not have been against killing the judge if she had thought it through and decided that was the best and/or only option.
[ 5 ] She is distrustful but she's young and flexible and willing to accept that the actions of one do not reflect on all. One bad event would not be enough to damage her for life, but too many more and she may be. I left it like that intentionally so that through RP she can heal and become more positive or be burned again and become more negative and cynical.
Does that make things more clear / believable? Should I expand farther?

Zax is really going to dislike her powers. He already has a hard time controlling his powers, so it's going to end up embarrassing him. X3 (His emotions end up being displayed like silly emotes or his daydreams get played out.) So I can see the RP fun this power can have. ^_^
I worry she technically has too powerful of an ability, but I don't know how to tell you to cut it down without defeating its purpose. You might consider incorporating an neuro-inhibitor into her "plea bargain". Like she's suppose to wear it, but she hates it. It can also be a bit finicky test product or break down easily when she gets overly emotional. It gives her a good limitation that is still reckless.

Hahaha, yes, I believe her RP fun potential is pretty much exponential. If she gets accepted / created I would love to RP her with Zax xD . She would feel so bad~...
I see your point though I think that the power buzz around her would be low enough most of the time that it wouldnt cause too much trouble. It really only 'dangerously strong' when her emotions are running really high. It might be uncomfortable (in the case of people like Zax for whom even a small increase would be... unwelcome) but probably not to the point of a neuro inhibitor. She doesnt generally go around turning people into little meta-powered bombs xD . Dani was never actually caught for / accused of the judge's murder, so there is nothing to plea bargain out of anyway x'D .
Side Note: She can control how strong the effect is a little bit (well, one way anyway) and she will gain more control as she gets older / gains experience. It will also get stronger as she gets older.
And if you were referring to the 'super canon' thing, it really would require a lot of outside help. So~... nothing too dangerous on that front. Unless she gets kidnapped by some bad dudes and turned into some kind of human focusing crystal lol xD .

Conduit/Dani is really well thought out so far! And I like how she isn't typical emo/justice motivated like most heroes are * v*b
aside from that, I'm kinda curious to know how far/wide/extensive her powers are. Stuff shorts out around her right? Does she need to have contact or is there a radius? How close would she have to get to them to have them short out? Does it mean she can't use electrical appliances like a calculator, ATM machines, etc
... unless things only go berserk when she has contact with it, that would make some sense rofl
also! I noticed when you say energy you're mostly referring to electricity. What about things like... fire/heat? Or water? Plant life, even, if that's even possible l-lol

She can short things out but not always. Its only bad enough that most people would chalk it up to really (really) bad luck xD . So she can use electrical appliances... she just knows that she might break them. Lol.
Its a general radius power but stronger via touch. Powers in her general area would get stronger, the closer the more strong the effect, but touch gives a much more pronounced effect and she can 'control' (I use that word loosely) it more through touch. That is to say she can intentionally increase someone's powers via touch if she really wants to. And the 'general power increase' on a normal day probably wouldnt be too noticeable. It might become more so as her powers get stronger, but thats a problem for another day/stage~.
Fire... mayhaps. Definitely heat. Water no, for the same reason she cant redirect a punch. Ehehe, I'm pretty sure that plan life would be outside of her control. And also she cant like control electrical wires or anything~, just redirect the electricity once its come in contact with her. So she sticks forks into electrical sockets a lot xD . I used electricity a lot as an example and in her history because it is pretty potent and something she would have had access too. It would definitely be the energy she is most comfortable working with but she can redirect anything of that sort... electricity, energy beams, etc... she could probably redirect magic too, I should explore that.

i like her power lots! and i also like her personality; i like chars that are sort of blank slates personality wise, but not completely boring blank slates. xD if that makes sense. moldable, i guess is the right word. the bit with the hoodlums is cool, too. :3c
she could totally become an offensive character. all she needs is some sort of portable weapon that generates electricity using batteries or w/e, and instant means of attacking. like a taser or something. * A* idk that's such a loose idea but i think the potential for her being able to do stuff like that is awesome.
if our chars ever got to rp together it could be disastrous... 'oops, made a black hole lol'.
