This is indeed a house located around a graveyard. When Crypt first saw it, he fell in love with it and now resides here with the graveyard keeper. The man is old and a bit senile, but Crypt adores him and called him Gramps. Spirits don’t really rest here and being a vampire who can bury his killing here without anyone rising questions, Crypt uses this place as his playground. Those who do sniff around usually end up in the grave, missing a lot of blood. Just saying.

Crypt glanced up at the sky, noticing that the light was starting to come up. Huh, that didn't make any sense to him since they were outside. Until it hit him. The sun! Oh! He didn't like the sun. It hurt his skin and his skin was too wonderful to hurt. Rushing a bit but staying steady so not to wake Keira, he went past the grave stones in the yard to the old, rotting white house in the center of them.

He looked to the side, seeing a tent pitched up. Someone was going to have a funeral soon and though it would have made him smile now, he was too in a rush to do it now. The door opened as soon as he reached it. It was like Gramps could read minds as well. Crypt smiled at the aging man, who wore a night gown of all things and still had the lights on. "Crypt? I thought you would have been back-why are you carrying a little girl?" He smiled and pushed his way into the house.

He set Keira down on the old couch in the living room, making her comfortable before turning to Gramps. "She is my friend. We had lots of fun at the park, but now she is tired. She needs rest, Gramps. Please watch over her? The sun is up and I have to go." Before the man could say something, Keira had a blanket over her and Crypt was gone.

Gramps sighed, looking to Kiera. "That boy, I swear...well rest well, little one." He left to go get a blanket for himself, coming back immediately to lock the door and settled on the couch opposite to her. He hadn't been there for a few seconds before he too was asleep.

The sun was coming up faster now, Crypt could feel it as he rushed to his sleeping place. He wouldn't reveal where he slept even to the old man, but it was cozy here. Settling down, he closed his eyes, thinking back on the game from the park. A smile on his face as darkness covered him.

Ring around the roses, a pocket full of posies…

Her eyes opened slowly, but she didn't move. She could feel the weight of a blanket over her, and she was no longer on the damp ground. Although there were still traces of her late-night game of tag, a slight dampness to her sweater, a sting to her fingertips, tangled hair. She grinned.

Although she was annoyed with herself, having fallen asleep on Crypt like that, she couldn't help but say it was well worth it.
But that boy just has too much energy. I almost want to say it's not fair. she thought in amused tones. Her head shifted slightly, and she noticed an elderly man sleeping on the couch across from her.

The brown-red orbs of her eyes narrowed slightly. She didn't like rooming with strangers, no matter who the stranger knew, and she carefully, and more importantly, quietly, pulled the blanket off from over her. She looked around, curiously, walking lightly across the floor. She left the first room, hoping to find a clock or window, something which would give her the time.

Eventually she found her way to the door, having to go back through the room she had woken up with, and she quickly slid out, looking up to the sky. It was well past noon; it would be sundown in an hour or two. She looked to the side, noting a tent and a graveyard. She grinned. Oh what an opportunity this was.

She crept over, listening to be sure that there was nobody inside. Pleased to find it abandoned, she slid the zipper open and set to work. She chewed at the cuts on her fingers, causing them to start bleeding again, and quickly began to scribble messages on the pale tarp of the tent. By the time she was done she was wondering how she managed to bleed so much, and the inside of the tarp was covered in messages of warning from 'souls of the dead'.

Pleased with her work, and an hour or so wasted, she left the tent and began to laugh maniacally, looking forward to the reactions of the poor camper who decided to stay in the vicinity. What fun she would have indeed.

Hush-a, Hush-a, you all fall down!

∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝∝

Crypt had been up for an hour or so even thought the sun hadn’t set yet. It was a regular thing for him. He got too excited for it to be sundown and woke too early. Though, it annoyed him that he had to stay within the confines of his resting place until the sun went down completely. He was too hyper for such work and it was exhausting. All he ever did when he woke like this was roll about and hunt bugs that crept in the area that he was in. Some bugs were really fast but he didn’t keep them for very long or killed them. Bugs had lives too and he respected that.

Only good thing about it was that he could still hear and tell what was going on around the area as well. He knew that Keira was up and doing something that she shouldn’t have been doing. Her blood was fragrant in the air and he breathed deeply, inhaling it like his life depended on it. Such a lovely smell. It made him all the more jittery to leave and as soon as the sun was down and gone, so was he.

It didn’t take him long to reach the house and the tent where Keira had just exited from. She started laughing as he walked over to her. “You know…that wasn’t very nice. That was set up for the funeral in a day or so.” He had done something like that before, what she had done, and Gramps was mad. The only thing that Crypt feared was when Gramps was mad.

He walked into the tent and looked around, an indifferent look in his face. He had actually seen things like this before, but he wasn’t really sure where. The memory of it was suppressed in his mind for some reason. Shrugging, he came out and smiled to her, yawning as he stretched. “Evenin’. I see you’re better. Where is Gramps?”

Inside, Gramps had awaken to see Keira gone and he somewhat panicked. He listened but there was no noise from inside the house so he went out, still in his gown. He saw tow figures and assumed that they were Crypt and Keira. “You kids! Darn it! Wake me up if you’re gonna get up before me. I ain’t that hard to wake up! And leave that tent alone!”

Crypt chuckled at the sight of Gramps. It was dark but lights were situated around the lot, illuminating almost every inch of it. He looked over to Keira. “Oooo, you’re gonna get in trouble.” With that, he laughed and started skipping over to the house, humming.

Ring around the roses, a pocket full of posies…

Keira grinned, raising one eyebrow at Crypt. The boy's hair was a mess, as though he had been rolling around in a hole all night, although the familiar playfulness, almost childish in nature, was still there.
"I'm going to get in trouble?" she dragged out the word, like a small child pushing the limits of their parent's patience. "But Crypt~ You didn't warn mee~" she sang out, dancing away from the tent as she frowned at her fingertips.

Although they weren't bleeding anymore, they were slightly raw from her little prank, it irritated her slightly, but not enough to dampen her mood. She was wide awake, now, having slept almost all day long, and she was in the mood for something to do. Boredom had crept up on her like the monster under the bed, and she wanted to fight it off like a hero in a child's story, blade (or switchblade) flying about in a blaze of glory!

The thought made her fall back on her butt with laughter, amused by her own childish thought process. As soon as she was over her fit, she grinned up at Crypt, wiping a tear from her eye, "I guess I'm not a very nice person, then." she mused with a smile, and almost started laughing again when she thought that maybe she had just pretended to be the ghost of the guard who she, herself, had lit on fire. Now wouldn't that just be ironic?

She nodded up at Crypt, kicking her legs up to roll over her back, a backwards somersault, to a kneeling position. Her hair was already a mess of tangles, mainly from sleep and last night, but now grass and leaves stuck out of it at off angles. She grinned, a kid with candy placed in her lap, before she turned towards the sound at the door. She assumed it was the old guy she woke up across from, and she watched Crypt curious; it almost seemed like he was rather close to this person, and Keira wasn't sure how she felt about that.

She was under the assumption that they started their game at the same place, with nobody on either side. She shrugged, bringing herself to her feet as she shoved the thoughts out of her head. It would be interesting to see how the boy interacted with the oldie; how he interacted with somebody remotely sane.

She danced after him, signing 'Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?' over and over in a random rhythm to another rhyme. She was in a rather good mood, and she was curious. What was trouble? She could have been killed last night, she killed a guy, she assaulted three others, and she broke out of an equivalent to 'prison'. If that wasn't trouble, she was curious to see what was.

Hush-a, Hush-a, you all fall down!

Crypt stopped to look back at Keira when she repeated what he said about getting into trouble. He didn’t think that he had stuttered or that he said something that she could have misunderstood. Or was he not loud enough when he said it? Shrugging, he casted off those thoughts and saw she was only messing with him. He smiled back, mischievously.

He ran his fingers through his hair as she danced away from the tent and studied her fingers. Her blood was still in the air around them, mostly due to the tent being right in front of him. It piqued his hunger, but he wouldn’t feed today. It was strange but he had a feeding chart of days he could drink and days he couldn’t. The idea was Gramps since the man didn’t want trouble and didn’t want to see Crypt get hurt more than anything dealing with himself. Gramps was nice.

Looking back to Gramps, and then back to Keira as she started being crazy again. Her laughter was seriously affecting him. Made him want to join, but he was confused as to why she was laughing in the first place. It annoyed him to be confused, but with her, he couldn’t seem to make himself care. She was fun and exciting. “You may not be a nice person, but you’re a fun one. I think that balances it out.” At that moment, the wind kicked up and whipped his hair about his face. His eyes narrowed as he looked away toward it, making it fix his hair for him and make it wilder. Appearances weren’t much to Crypt. As long as he thought something was insane and fun, he didn’t care what it appeared as. Like Keira.

Girls weren’t his best subject and things about them were a bit confusing, but he hoped to learn more from her. Not eating her had been a good idea. Good thing she won that little game. His attention was brought back to the girl he had been thinking about as she danced toward him, singing. His head tilted at what she was singing. Music. That was another mystery to him now since all he heard were the creatures around him and the music that was played at the funerals. Even as a kid, he hadn’t been that into music and didn’t care for it. Yet, he liked Keira’s voice.

“Aren’t you hungry? I’m sure Gramps wouldn’t mind feeding you until he finds out what you did. But with you being with me, I don’t think he’d get too upset over what you did.” Crypt turned to go to the house, holding the door open. Seems Gramps had retreated back into the house before they reached it. He could hear the old man inside, possibly changing his clothes or something.

Crypt looked back to Keira, mouth parted and he snapped his fingers together as a thought entered his head. “Oh yeah. One thing…if you hurt the old man in anyway, I will not hesitate to kill you. No handicap for you and I will hunt you down.” His face was serious, no trace of his smile and his eyes weren’t laughing as well. There was a deep seriousness in him as he said the words to Keira, but it lasted all for a few seconds before he smiled like before and swept inside, calling out the old man. “Gramps~” The door stayed open behind him for Keira.

Keira didn't suspect Crypt's words to be an empty threat, but her own mood didn't falter. She glided past him, into the house which, although still rather unfamiliar, wasn't entirely new to the girl. She looked around, listening for the old man and for Crypt. She was slightly on edge from Crypt's words, but not too much.

If she hurt the old man, it would ruin one of the centers for her curiosity, anyways. In general, she was interested in this old geezer who Crypt seemed so attached to; Crypt didn't seem afraid of his 'punishments', par se, but he was wary of them, and that in itself was something quite interesting for Keira. Not only that, Crypt lived with him. That was also a curious fact.

Keira stepped through the open door, being sure to close it behind her despite her base instinct telling her to keep it open; she always felt safer with a way to run. She forced herself to remember that it wasn't her house, and most people did mind bugs inside. Open doors let bugs inside.

She sighed, shaking her head and running her fingers through her hair a few times to clean up just a bit, before she stepped inside. Food was definitely an attractive idea for the girl, and she didn't want to miss up an opportunity to eat. Especially with Crypt's words echoing in her head. She had a feeling that stealing would count as financial 'hurting', so she'd have no other way to get food.

Might as well see what it's like, anyways. she thought with a shrug, her coy smirk darting to her face as she continued to search for her new playmate.

The door slammed shut after Keira came into the house. Crypt could hear her moving about, probably looking for him and Gramps. He could feel her curiosity almost as much as he could feel her heart beating. Honestly, he was rather hungry so it was why he was so in tune with her. With Gramps, it was different. He would never hurt the man and never once looked at him as food. Well that was after their first meeting. Gramps had done in him good and Crypt respected him since.

It was still a bit weird that they were living together, cohabiting side by side thought they were of different species. The prey and predator were living together in a mutual lifestyle. And now, another prey was added to the mix.

Crypt brought his attention to where he and Gramps were now. They were in the old man’s room which was at the end of the hall. There were three rooms in the place, two bathrooms, a small kitchen connected to a small dining room an d the living room with was at the front but kind of separated from the rest of the house by a corridor. No stairs, but there was a ladder that led to the attic.

Inside the old man’s room, Crypt was undressing and putting on a fresh pair of clothes. Gramps was taking a shower. Truthfully, Crypt didn’t care for how he looked, but his clothes were dirty from yesterday and had his blood on them. His hair was a mess as well and once he was done changing, he slid a comb through his silver hair. Silver wasn’t even his natural hair color. Smiling at his fresh appearance, Crypt snuck out the room, meeting up with Keira in the hall. “Hi there~”

"You changed." she noted with a sly smile, gliding past him and dancing around, doing a 360 'inspection' of Crypt. Not that she cared, really. A body was a body, regardless of what they have on. She sent him a sly smile, as she licked her lips and her stomach rumbled. "Now what was this talk of food?" she asked in a sing song voice as she danced away from him, "I'm surprisingly hungry, after last night. And based of what you said earlier, this meal could be my last."

She snorted at that, sending him a wink before she ascended back to the room she had woken up in. Sitting on the couch, she noted the blankets sprawled all over the place. She quickly rolled it up into a hastily folded mess, if only to give her more room to sit, then threw her arms up above her head in a stretch.

"So, Crypt." she mused, looking up over the couch in his general direction, "What in the world do you do for fun? Other than playing Tag-with-a-Twist with little runaways at midnight?" she laughed out, again, amused by her own phrase. But how else could she describe their little dance last night? There weren't many options.

She had noted earlier the shower running, and had assumed it was the old man. It didn't seem like there were any others living in the household. In fact, there was little to no traces of Crypt, other than the infamous boy himself, to imply that his presence was ever there at all.
Hmm, and he wasn't here when I woke up. He's got a hidie-hole somewhere else. she noted, a new vein of curiosity opening in her mind. Of course, that was one which would have to wait. She could tell that the boy could be dangerous, and she had the feeling he wouldn't appreciate the intrusion if she just followed him to his 'secret hide-out'.

Distractedly Keira picked away at her coat, pulling dirt and grass from the material of both the jacket and the dress; last night had been a blast, all right, but there were traces of it everywhere! That's what she got for falling asleep on the ground, though. It had been her own fault~

Crypt smiled when Keira noticed he had changed clothes. He still wore long sleeves, but his shirt was now a long white top and his pants were black and loose. He wasn’t wearing socks though they got dirty easily and he would rather go without them. Besides, he didn’t mind going barefoot around the house. He could fly and stuff, so it was pointless to even care if he was silent or something.

His eyes darted around to follow her as she twirled around him. “Food? I can’t cook sadly. You’ll have to wait for Gramps to finish, and I won’t kill you, so don’t think like that. Gramps won’t either, no matter how much he may say otherwise.” Crypt laughed at that, heading after her as they descended back into the living room. There were many times when he had made the old man angry and the man threatened to stake him or throw him in holy water or something else. Crypt knew he wouldn’t do it but he’d fake being scared to make the old man calm. They had fun times together, not in the way that he had had with Keira, but he didn’t mind. Crypt was fond of Gramps.

While Keira was in the room, he walked over to the window and glanced out, looking around the place from the tent to the street just beyond. He could hear the birds and other wildlife out and about, though he was listening for humans more. They were alone, so he calmed down. “Hmm. For fun you say. Well I talk with Gramps usually, but then I play with the animals. They run from me, but I like to chase them. I also scare away kids who come here to see the graves. Heh. That’s always fun, but other than that I just go to the park like before and wait.” He turned to face her, giving her his famous insane smile.

It was then that Gramps came into the room. Honestly, Gramps wasn’t that old. He was only in his 50’s, but Crypt still called him Gramps anyways. He also was healthy and fitter than any true old guy. He grunted as he saw Keira picking the dirt off her clothes. “You can go take a shower. I’ll fetch you some clothes and have Crypt bring them to you. I had a daughter who was your age once. Probably have some of her clothes in the attic.” He wore similar clothes like Crypt, but had black overalls on instead of pants. He gave Crypt a look before heading into the kitchen to look into the fridge. Crypt smiled after the look, heading over to the couch and plopping down. There was a tv in the room, but he rarely watched it. “Want to venture into the attic with me while he cooks?”

Ring around the roses, a pocket full of posies…

Keira looked curiously to the old man; a shower? Well sure, she needed one, but wasn't there some sort of 'code' against telling a girl to shower? Not that she cared, it was just another one of those 'it would be amusing to tease' things which popped into her brain randomly before flitting away.

At the thought of changing her clothes she was a little, well, nervous. She liked her clothes. Mainly her coat; it was comfy and it had convenient pockets. At the same time, even she knew when something had to be washed. She frowned... It would depend on the clothing. She hated anything that might restrict movement. Like pants. Pants that were tight restricted movement and pants that were loose got tripped over. Just inconvenient, all in all.

Keira nodded to Crypt. She had a vague feeling he wasn't the 'cooking type', so she wasn't too disappointed. His idea of a good time seemed entertaining enough, and he definitely had an entertaining personality. Some may say 'nobodies perfect'. She shrugged. She wasn't a big eater anyways.

At the prospect of the attic, Keira grinned, before giving a very sarcastic expression of 'fear'.
"Oh~ There might be monsters up there!" she squealed out, before breaking out into laughter and skipping down the hall, "Which way?" She asked, spinning around and stepping backwards to watch Crypt as he spoke.

She paused, looking thoughtful a moment. She did wonder what she was going to have to wear... she was hoping it wouldn't be anything outrageous, like a church girl dress or some crazy Victorian concoction. She'd just steal Crypt's clothes, if that was the case! There was no way she was going to wear some frilly monstrosity!

Crypt started playing with the strands of his hair that floated into his face as he waited Keira's response. He had thought about getting a hair cut since it did annoy him when his hair ended up in his mouth or in his eyes, but it would have been pointless since if would have grown back. Nails and hair still grew on dead bodies and he would agree to that. But he stopped to look at Keira when she gave that humorous expression.

He laughed hard, making himself tumble sideways on the couch and then falling off. She was full of surprises and he liked it. At the monster comment, he calmed, flashing himself off the ground to walk toward her. "Not yet, but once I get up there, then yes." He chuckled as he placed his hands inside his pockets.

"Ah right. It's this way." He stopped where he was and pointed up to a small square that blended into the ceiling, save for the string that dangled down from it. Yeah, it was one of those old attics where the ladder folded and you had to pull it down.

Crypt reached up and grabbed the line to yank it. The door creaked as it opened, billowing out dust. Carefully, he lowered the ladder until it touched the floor and ascended it first after a smirk directed at Keira. It was dark when he placed his feet on the bare wood above, but he snapped and the light bulbs in the place lit up. Boxes were everywhere. "Cool. Box heaven." He muttered to himself.

She grinned, watching Crypt as he glided past her. She couldn't help but laugh at his joke; nothing like a guy with a sense of humor to lighten the mood. She followed after him, waving the dust out of her face as her eyes prickled with excitement. Maybe, just maybe she could...

She grinned. It would be funny, that's for sure. She followed up behind him, splitting off as he wandered one way. She turned, going behind the boxes in search of something fun.

Keira liked attics; they were one of her favorite places. They were secluded, and they usually had a lot of cool, old stuff in them. She looked around, flicking open the tops of random boxes with curious fingers, finding not much of interest. She hissed out as her foot caught a nail; she sat back and looked at the cut. She was too distracted by the dust and curious objects to notice the nail sticking out of the floorboards.

Shame on her. Keira sighed, shaking her head. She'd probably have to disinfect it, or something. Nothing like an infection to kill the fun. Thankfully, it was closer to her heel. For now, she could walk on the toes of her feet and not be hindered too greatly. Coming back around the edge of the boxes she spied Crypt.

His back was to her, and his face was in a box, not literally of course. It seemed like he had found something interesting. Curiosity taking over, as well as her sense of fun, she crept forward. When she was a foot away, or so, she leapt towards Crypt. She was smart enough to balance herself in such away that if he noticed her, which he probably would, she would be able to catch herself when he left, but also such a way that she could cling onto him if he didn't. Secretly, she hoped she could catch him by surprise.

Crypt crept off to one side as Keira went the other way. There was a lot of dust up here, but he was glad that it didn't bother him. He had also passed his head through a spider's web, but only brushed it off and picked the silky threads out his face. It didn't bother him like it once did when he was human.

he hadn't thought about being human in a long while. Wow, he was even feeling a tad nostalgic now and it was creeping him out. He was now 'Crypt', a vampire who lived and loved to play games and drink blood. Speaking of blood, he could smell Keira's. She must have stepped on something, and he chuckled as he peeked inside a box, turning the dust-covered sides away. Inside, there were toys, old toys. Interesting.

Then he got an even stronger waft of Keira's blood scent and he felt her presence. What was she doing, he was about to ask, but decided not to. He didn't even turn around as she leap forward and caught onto his back, clinging on like a monkey or something. "Hi there Keira. I like surprise hugs, so thanks. Look! I found some toys!" He patted her head with a hand, but continued looking around with her still on his back. She had laughed as he acted like what she had done was something really normal. It kind of wasn't, but he was one for the eccentrics.

"There are so many boxes...box jungle now." He laughed as he swung around, twisting past boxes and boards that he saw were loose on the ground. Something scurried away from him and it caught his attention. A mouse probably. Ah. He wondered if there were bats...
