Owner out of character~ MY rusty h a l o

Owner in character~ Camellia Rose

Size of grounds~ Two acres

Residents~Camellia Rose
Rock
User Image
Appearance~The large property is longer than it is square; stretching far back into a small forest of cherry blossom trees. Of course, Camellia herself planted and nourished the plants, wanting to bring some of her previous home into her new one. In the front, as her mini forest is in the back, is a stone garden outlined with various foliage and greenery, which has a path that divides in two and leads to the front door. Small garden snakes, as well as other animals such as foxes and wild rodents all manage to live on her grounds with relative harmony. In the front of the building, directly attached to the front doors, is small room with a slight step which leads to the hallway. Built against the wall is a small square cabinet with several cubby holes. This is for shoes.

The sliding door leads to a long hallway, which branches off into several different rooms. The floors in the hallway are a polished redwood, despite the rest of the rooms being floored by tatami mats. The walls of the hallway are made of screens similar to that of the sliding door, a waxy paper-like material that (miraculously) remains undamaged by rain and other weather related issues. The walls that surround the individual rooms vary in terms of colour, although both the dining room and Camellia’s room is coloured a maroon red. One of the extra bedrooms is a royal blue, and the remaining bedrooms still need to be painted [I will edit to match the appropriate slaves when they appear ]. There is a living room, stalked with comfortable chairs and a bookshelf, as well as a Go and Shoji board. Although she doesn’t own a TV, she does own many board and puzzle games, as well as instruments and radios [which are strewn throughout the house].

The bedrooms all have a simple futon in them, as they are better for your posture. As well they each have a desk with a wooden chair, designed specifically not to damage the fragile mats, and a dresser with a mirror and many drawers for personal effects and clothing.

The roof is made out of a maroon bamboo shingles, as Camellia enjoys the sound of the rain tapping off them. The animals from the garden are allowed into the house, and there is actually a room dedicated to their care for when they are injured or the weather is difficult for them to handle.

Camellia

Camellia sighed, doing some last minute tidying up as she paced distractedly back and forth. When she had called the shop she requested a challenge, somebody who she might not be able to get along with too well. She sighed, running her fingers through her hair before she crossed her arms. She was feeling stressed out, worried, paranoid that she was doing something stupid.

Of course not. she thought to herself as she narrowed her eyes slightly, I am the Mistress here and if I decide that interacting on a normal level isn't working, then I will go to the traditional Slave/Master relations! with that set in her head Camellia nodded, turning towards the kitchen to make tea. She was thirsty, and she would drink. No ands ifs or buts about it!

Setting the kettle on the stove she turned on the fire, waiting for it to boil before she killed the flame and poured the water into her cup, adding a teabag for the caffeine she was craving. Now significantly calmer she took her tea and went out to the front deck, sprawling out elegantly with her back up against the door frame as she sipped at her tea. She would make it a good day.

Rock

He was not pleased, before they even opened up his slave cage, they cuffed him to the stupid thing before going in and covering his eyes so as he wouldn't know where he was going or how to get back to civilization, an attempt to try and get him to stay with his new master or mistress. Yea right. But he didn't make it easy for the guards to do any of those things. He kicked until they tied down his legs and then he bit when ever they got close, one had managed to sneak up behind him and slip on the dreaded blindfold.

Then before he desired it be, they took him, still tied down in the cage, to the back of a vehicle and they drove for what seemed like hours. He of course was rowdy and unwilling the entire way, trying to break the chains that held him. They had blocked his power with rubber surrounding the cage and chains so that they wouldn't break so easily with the heat, even put rubber in his mouth to keep him from breathing out fire too.

Finally, the truck or van or whatever he was in stopped and his struggling intensified as they slid the cage out and carried it up some steps before dropping him and the cage, making him hit his head, but he just growled angrily.

The guards saw Camellia the moment they headed up the stairs and dropped Rock in front of her. "I believe this man will suit your requests, miss." one guard stated, motioning to Rock.

Camellia

Camellia looked at the boy, inspecting him, before looking to the guards. She frowned slightly, not moving from her lazy perch. The wind blew through, causing the sand to blow over slightly and her long black locks to twist and writhe in a dance on the gusts.
"He seems a little... Rowdy." she murmured, her voice cool in tones and slightly high in pitch. It held a regal aura to it and she looked out over the sand garden. "I have something to sign?" she asked, holding out her pale hand for the pen and form. Not looking to the guards as she waited. Eventually they handed over the form, and her eyes skimmed over it quickly. She narrowed her eyes slightly, sighing with a dissatisfied nod before she quickly scrawled her name across the bottom of the page.

Her black eyes turned back to the man who was bound to the metal cage, she distractedly handed the form back to the guards before she held her hand out in the direction of the cage. A thin vine grew out, extending pass the bars and pulling the blindfold away. Her black eyes locked onto his crimson eyes as she tried to dissect his personality, trying to gear how to react. She furrowed her brow slightly, frowning in an almost pout.

"Your name is Rock." she stated, confirming the fact which she had just read over, "My name is Camellia Rose, this is my home. You will be staying here." she stated, turning her face up towards the guards. "I'll take the keys, and you can leave. There should be enough cash there to cover the cage and other things as well. I want to enjoy the sun for a bit longer." she mused to herself as much as to them, taking the keys from the guards before inspecting the boy again. The vine reached forward slowly again, pulling the material from his mouth before she retracted the vine and turned her face towards the sky again, an unusually lethargic expression on her face.

She simply didn't know how to react. She would gear the situation then make her decision accordingly. Until then, it would be wise to remain calm.

Rock

Rock blinked as his blindfold was removed by...a plant?? Then the same looking plant removed his rubber gag. The woman that was to be his mistress....well, he didn't want a mistress so why should he care to judge her in the aspect of a slave? Camellia...interesting name. When the gag was gone, the guards almost ran back to Rock to put in another one, but he already blew fire out of his mouth to burn the bars as well as the womans dress for the fun of it and any of the guards that came into the path. The bars crackled and soon fell into ash and soon his bindings were free from the cage as it all crumpled. Yanking off the chains without much pain as a result, he got up and glared at the woman. "You can't make me stay here lady, I don't care who you are."

Picking up a fallen guard, he started the body on fire, smirking at the screams the guard was emitting as the fire fed from his flesh and clothes. "That's for beating me you stupid piece of garbage." he stated, very much enjoying the flames and the show they provided.

Camellia

Camellia smiled, tearing the cindering material away from her body with a sigh. It was irritating; she'd have to call in to have a new dress delivered, but it couldn't be helped. She stood, walking over to the man and looking him in the face with a calm expression.

"I can't make you stay anywhere." she said with a shrug, "But you're an elemental, meaning you wont be able to leave." she walked over to a nearby wall, running her fingers over a paper seal tag which was pinned there. Small shocks appeared when she went to peal it back, and it refused to give away. "If even I am unable to leave my self-made prison, then how are you supposed to?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow. She threw the keys at the remaining guard who stood like an idiot. "It doesn't seem like I'll need those anymore. He seems to have handled it for himself." she said, waving him off. In a terrified huff he sprinted away, and Camellia threw several seeds into the sand.

A pulse of powerful demonic energy waved out from around her and the plants immediately shot from the ground, thick roots with small hair-like spikes on them. It would be painful to pull against, she knew, and it was fire retardant. A bonus.
"You know, not many plants are entirely fireproof. In fact, there is only one which I know of that can handle the fires of hell. They come from my home country, they have beautiful flowers." she mused, smiling as she reached up towards the plants. It bent towards her hand, and she cradled it, a soft and maternal smile addressing her face. Oh how she loved her plants.

Rock

Rock didn't care if she was a woman, he would hit her or worse just to get her out of his way. Though when she agreed with him, he raised an eyebrow, curious as to why she was agreeing with his statement of not staying. Though when she said that he couldn't leave, he glared at her, eyeing the paper tag as it shocked her.

Rock growled when she grew more plants, and fire proof plants at that. He knew the plants that weren't affected by fire rather well, but that didn't mean that they weren't affected by poison or his claws. "Why did you bring me here then?! I ain't going to serve you and I certainly won't follow your orders. If I do anything with you, it's to torture and kill you." he stated harshly.

Camellia

Camellia shrugged, already disliking her rather hasty decision. And putting trust into the shop keeper's hands.
"Why did I bring you here." she repeated, almost as though she were testing the question. She frowned. "Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. Originally this was an experiment. I'm not sure, though, that it will be accurate with a subject like you." she stated releasing the plant and crossing her arms as she narrowed her eyes slightly.

"I won't even try to explain it to you, I hardly understand the logic myself and it's my own." she sighed, not continuing with her opinion on his brutish intelligence. "Fortunately, the experiment involves not ordering you around. Unless that's what normal people do when they interact with normal people." Camellia shrugged and heaved another sigh, before her eyes shot up; right. She was supposed to offer tea. She looked around the clearing at the front of her house, almost distraught, before she looked pitifully at the cup she had been enjoying moments before. "If you want tea..." she frowned, continuing to stare pathetically at the still steaming cup. Stupid formalities. she thought, holding back a sigh, How do people live with them?!

Rock

Rock was caught off guard when she said that she didn't want to order him around. So then...he wasn't a slave here? He was her talking buddy? He supposed that was better than slavery that's for sure. He relaxed a bit, still unsure of the entire thing. "No, thanks...water will be fine." he answered after a moment, kicking the crispy corpse out of the deck area and into the yard.

Looking over Camellia he decided he wanted to ask her a few questions since she seemed to be in the talkative mood. "Why do you wear an eye patch?" he asked curiously.

Camellia

Water. That was inside the house. Right. She turned, her plants withering away without her focus or contact in an environment not suited to them, and headed towards the house. Grabbing her tea on the way in, she gestured for the fire demon to follow.
"Please remove your shoes."She murmured, not even checking to see if he wore any, wiped her feet on the rug; she hadn't bothered with shoes going out, but she didn't want to dirty the tatami. "I wear an eye patch because I have no eye there." she stated as an afterthought, not ashamed or concerned in the slightest. What difference would fussing make?

She led him towards the dining room; it wasn't much. Like all the other rooms Camellia had to slide the door away, and like many of the other rooms the flooring was covered in the soft tatami matting. She sighed, gesturing at the low table and the cushions on either side. Four in total, although only one had ever been used, and she placed her own cup down on the table, in front of her own chair. She then continued through a second sliding door to the kitchen. Camellia sighed, running a hand through her hair. What had she just gotten herself into? Within moments she reappeared in the room with a clear glass of water.

Rock

Rock waited for a few moments, hesitating if he should follow or not, but then he did, taking off his shoes like she requested, he was better off without them anyway. "What happened to make you loose your eye?" he continued as she answered. Looking around the place as she led him to a room, an old style room, dining room it seemed. It was nice for the style the place was in, but not his style.

Going to the table in the middle of the room he took a seat on one of the cushions and continued to look around as she got him his water. When she came back, he glanced at her for a few minutes. "So if you don't want a slave, why did you get me other than for talking to?" he asked another question.

Camellia

Camellia placed the glass in front of him, kneeling on the cushion across from him. The latter question she couldn't answer. The first, she didn't want to. She looked away, deciding to ignore the uncomfortable subject of her childish stupidity in the past.

"As I said, I don't even understand the logic. It just seemed to make sense. At the time. I wanted somebody here for me to practice with, who better than a person who can't leave without permission, or in your case, at all." She shrugged, taking a sip from her tea before sighing.

She fell into silence, not sure what to talk about, not sure why she was propelled to try and talk in the first place. She noticed his hesitation, his awkward demeanor, and felt no pity. She was in a similar boat. She sighed again, staring at the scroll that hung off the wall, off to the side. So now what was she supposed to do?

Rock

Rock was irritated now, even as he downed the water placed in front of him. She thought she could keep him here? With a simple elemental barrier to keep him in? No way, he would find a way to escape this place. "You're just so full of yourself aren't you? You got it easy if you have money to fling about to get others to do what you want. I am not so gullible like those slave traders." he growled out angrily.

Standing up, he went to her in quick speed and had her against the wall by her throat. "Let me out of here, and I promise not to kill you." he threatened darkly, his fingers tightening around her throat in the process, letting his inner fire heat his hand in warning that he'd burn her if she didn't comply. He had no patients for games and her social issues. He didn't like those who kept slaves for work just because they were too lazy to do it themselves, and this woman was no different. Using him to her advantage or however she liked. He didn't like it.

Camellia

Camellia flinched slightly, but glared him down. She didn't struggle despite the lack of air.
"I didn't put the barriers up. I can't take them down." she barely managed to hiss, narrowing her one eye as her black hair fell into her face. She began to raise her aura, black spots beginning to appear in her vision.

She kept her hands limp at her sides, but she continued to raise her aura until the plants in the room were growing up the walls and up to the ceiling; those weren't important to her, though. She focused the energy on the flower in her belt, and it shot forward, aiming to stab the man who held her against the wall.

Rock

Rock growled when she said she couldn't do it, when she very well could. He glared right back at her, waiting for her to speak the truth. "If you can't do it then contact the one who can!" he barked, not happy with this woman at all. She was playing doll or something since she wasn't even fighting him, at least that's what he thought until he saw the plants growing up the walls.

While he was distracted with trying to find out what she was going to do with those plants, he didn't notice the one in her belt until it hit his shoulder. Hissing he let her go and grabbed the plant at the same time. Burning the plant as he backed away from her. Then he formed fire balls and shot them at the ones growing in the room. Before blowing one into the outer wall, wanting to make a hole in it so he could get out.
