 Akira walked into the classroom and saw that Captain tokemaru wasn't there and took a seat in the middle of the front row and waited for a couple of seconds before putting his feet up on the desk and rocking back in his chair

 Tokemaru walked in with a scroll under one arm and noticed that Akira was the only one in the classroom. Tokemaru smiled at Akira and cleared his throat. "Hey there, you're here for the Sword Arts training, right?"

Akira looked at Tokemaru when he cleared his throat "yea I'm here for the sword art training " taking his feet off of the desk "so when do we begin"

"Right away," Tokemaru laid the scroll down on the desk at the font row and cleared his throat again, "Now then, first, a short introduction. The sword arts were the shinigami's first means of defense against the hollows, the arts require precise control of the user's reatsu as well as competency with a sword. These arts a revery different from kido,so don't think that being able to excell at kido means that the Sword Arts will be as easy. Understand?"

"yes I understand kido and sword arts are two completely means of battle that we can access so the fundamentals are different" Akira moved his around in his seat then leaned on one of his wrists looking out of the window

"Good, now then, I trust you've studied the history of the Sword Arts." Tokemaru replied, "I'm sure that whatever's outside is much more interesting but this is all part of the training." Tokemaru didn't bother demanding Akira's complete attention, he would have it soon enough.

"Yes I studied the history of the sword arts and the only reason I'm staring outside is to alleviate my boredom" Akira replied back to tokemaru while continuing to look outside

"Boring stuff first, cool stuff later. If you have studied the history, I have some questions for you: 1. The shinigami utilized the Sword arts using Zanpakutos; true or false? 2. The teachings of the Sword Arts demand what? 3. The teachings disappeared during what point in our history? 4. Describe the legend of the Sword Arts?"

"It's always the boring stuff first......1. False the shinigami utilized the Sword Arts with regular katanas Zanpakutos came after, 2. The teachings demand total mastery of the sword and complete adherence to the old codes of honor and discipline, 3. The Sword arts dissappeared shortly after the introduction of the zanpakuto, 4. The Legend is how the first Shinigami defeat the first espada using the sword arts"

Tokemau nodded his head in approval at Akira's answers,which were all correct. "Good,you did your homework, and now we get into the less-boring stuff." Tokemaru pounded the desk, causing the scroll to jump into the air. Tokemaru then caught the scroll with his other hand and started to walk out of the class room. "You coming?" Tokemaru looked over his shoulder at Akira.

Akira got up from the desk and followed tokimaru out of the classroom "I did say that I studied the Sword art history didn't I"

"That you did," Tokemaru replied as he left the classroom and walked down the halls toward the dojo. inside was a strange set up. there was i line of tape on th floor and a sheet of paper hanging down 20 feet.
"Now then, this is something you must pass or there's no use continuing onward."

Akira continued to follow tokemaru into the dojo when he saw a tape line and a sheet of paper in the air "And what is the thing that I'm supposed to past"

"Just using the sword arts requires the ability to focus your will and your power into your zanpakuto in it's basic form, what you have to do is stand on that line and cut the paper over there without saying a word that would empower the blade."
