i have a few ideas that are in my guild that im willing to share with this guild.
First- Guilds Hall of Fame, this is a great idea for a big guild, every month you post an annoucement like, (JUNES FAME 6/10/2011) and have it say,
FAVORITE GUILD MEMBER
NAME HERE (Legendary)
POSTED THE MOST
NAME HERE (4 posts)
MOST HELPFULL
NAME HERE (giveing good ideas)
DONATED THE MOST
NAME HERE (3146 gold)
the way to keep track of this is take a picture of your guild members on your computer, i use bandi cam for mine, next month il take another pic of the the guild members, see how much the posts numbeers and donation has changed and do the math.

Another thing i had in my guild was, Rewards for Donating to the guild. this can be tricky to do, and i removed it from my guild, mainly becuz its a new guild with less then 10 members.
this is might be hard to do unless your rich on gaia. how ever i am not, but it would work out like this
1000 gold donated - rewarded with a gift worth 500g
2000 gold donated - rewarded with a gift worth 1000g
so on and so forth
20,000 gold donated - rewarded by being promoted
(change what you want, this didnt work for my guild do to lack of members)
and the most someone donated to this guild was 5,000 gold,
how do i know? becuz i look at who guild members and other things for this guild trying to see how it can be improved
