I was just thinking about this movie because they play it on ABC family a lot.

It is based on a novel by the same name, which was published in 1998. Almost 10 years later, Sachar wrote a sequel to the book.

Shia LaBeouf stars as Stanley Yelnats.

What did you think about this movie? I really enjoyed it as a kid (Now, not so much haha). It's definitely a nice film for families.

Haha I have pretty much the same thoughts as you do on that.
When I was a kid I loved that movie. It was one of my favorites, I've seen it at least 20 times and read the book at least that many as well. But now I could take it or leave it. It doesn't capture me like it did when I was younger. However I would definitely recommend it to younger readers who would appreciate it.
