Well if you didn't know, Reach is a prequel of Halo 1. The story shows the Noble Team at their finest hour. What can I say... new maps, new features, awesome multi-player but.. short story..... Personally, I would have wanted the game to come at a later time because of the next Halo coming out later on. I feel that if you are going to have a prequel of the first halo, that bungie should have brought halo 4 out first or at least together so people would have more questions at that time.
But...
Bungie can exploit this opportunity to display anything they want now that reach is out of the way and Cortana can have more back-story if they may do so. John(Master Chief) should be going through hell at this point and I'm dead serious.
Back to reach, the pros and the cons aren't so different from Halo 3.. Reach gives you options to further more custom your spartan but went too far but making most of the armor expensive. Credits take extremely long to accumulate and the weekly challenge makes you wanna go on god mode forever in your life o.o
I'm glad true-skill is out of the water because I remember when I was playing Halo 3 and my highest true skill was lone wolves. In order to proceed, I had to face actual generals and I was only a brigadear or something like that. So now I'm stuck.
Reach gives you true skill in different modes but it doesn't effect how you level up completely.
I would give this game a 4 out of 5
A tip from me is if you are used to Halo 3 default controls and don't want to drift way off in controls, change it to recon on reach.
