I demand you watch this short parody
The title was spawned from an interview with the creator of Bleach, Kubo Tite. He was asked about why he named it 'Bleach'.
He said he wanted it to be like 'white' or 'black', but not as plain and boring as that.
After explaining the metaphor he envisioned, I couldn't help but think of 'Darker than Black' and the metaphor that was made for that.
And there you go. 'Lighter than White'

Because they cannot see death standing right behind themOne thousand years after the defeat of Aizen [You cannot call that a spoiler. It was way too obvious for that], the Soul Society went along with it's usual business for over one thousand years. Eventually, everyone grew old and passed on their title, and then their life to the next generation. New Zanpakutou appeared, and old ones reappeared with this new set of Reapers. While it is a completely new generation of Soul Reapers, the Soul Society remains with the same values as it ever had. New missions will be administered periodically to captains and average soul reapers alike

General
Follow Gaia ToS and stuff. Violence and romance is encouraged, but don't go rated R on us. No text talk. No God-Mod stuff, if your power is too powerful then I WILL make you change it. Only Captains and Vice Captains can know how to use their Bankai and only seated members can use Shikai. Death can happen but only with the proper permission or else those posts will be deleted. OOC should always remain in parenthesis. You can have more than one profile, but only one as a captain.
Posting and Profiles
At least picture and name. Role, theme song, and random bits of nothingness always make things look prettier. Send all profiles to me and title them 'Diamond Dust'. Anime pictures only, and please please please make more than one profile. It's no fun when we only have five characters.

Normal: larger than average swords.
Shi-kai: Giant black sword, as big as user

It turns into a giant snake skeleton and coils around the ground with user in the center. Segments of Hihiou are connected with Renji's spiritual pressure thus making him stronger. Though bulky Hihiou is a great endurance zanpakutou even if it losses one or two segments it can still fight.

It is composed of 3 huge blades, two which is mainly used for fighting, and one above the head. The blade above the head is the most important blade. It has the carving of a dragon. When it's awoken, it releases a red dye, and when it has fully released this dye, Ryuushin Hoozukimaru's full distructive powers are unleashed.

Shikai: When activated, the blade loses its curve and straightens, and where a normal katana would end, Wabisuke's blade makes two 90 degree angles, forming three sides of a square reminiscent of a hook. Even more interestingly, the cutting edge of the blade is on the inside of the angles, not the outside. It doubles the weight of whatever it hits until it's too heavy to move/be moved. His blade is now entirely composed of blue energy, and a cape of the same color as the cloth drapes his back. Two slivers of energy float next to his right shoulder, and a disc next to his right.

Shikai: Grasping onto Suzumebachi with her right hand, the entire sword will glow white and shrink in size. When the emitted glow dies out, it is revealed that Suzumebachi has now taken on the form of a black and gold gauntlet that has a small chain linking it to a stinger-like blade on the middle finger. If stung twice in the same place by suzumibatchi [unless mark is removed] will result in instant death or serious fatalities. [depending on power of the user]
Bankai: JakuhÅ RaikÅben [Hornet Thunder Whip] Its appearance is that of a gold armor missile launcher base that encases user's right arm and comes all the way above her shoulder to form a face shield that she uses to cover the right side of her face. The entire bankai is made up of a large pointed gold cylinder with black markings twice the size of the user.

Raika GÅen Kaku takes the form of an enlarged sword and turns the edge of the blade a crimson red color with a hook at the end; the inner side of the hook-blade sports several jagged edges. A large white shell with a light-purple trim. A massive hollow pauldron/shield with the handle is hidden behind it. The sword is about as tall as the user in this form.

Bankai: 'Grand Crimson Lotus Ice Ring' Water in the air forms around the user's body to create a dragon-like appearance, complete with wings and claws and tail. Twelve petals form three flowers behind the user's head which more or less time how much longer the user can hold the bankai's immense power.

Shikai: When released, air currents swirl around the user, and then around Tachikaze. It then transforms into a combat knife with a bronze guard, light purple hilt-wrapping in the center of the hilt, a gray leather grip, and a small ring on the guard's blunt side.
Bankai: 'Iron Fist, Earth Severing Wind' Tachikaze transforms from a single combat knife into a pair of large knuckle blades that the user holds in each hand. Both blades have a curved silver edge, which tapers off to an outward point on either side. Segmented purple bands wraps around the entirety of their arms, much like armor, while a thicker purple band arches from behind, over the head, with its ends protruding from under the shoulders.

The first few inches of the blade are covered by an extension of the crossguard. Sakanade's blade is straight and slim with the tip ending in a slanted razor-like edge instead of being tapered to a point. There are five holes along the sword's length

Short Bio: While Misaki isn't very old, she has been a captain for quite some time. Most of her life, actually. She enrolled into the Soul Reaper Academy soon as she showed any signs of possessing enough spiritual pressure to wield a zanpakutou. By the time she was fifteen, she had entered into squad two as 20th seat. Squad two wasn't her first choice, but after a short talk with her Zanpakutou, she realized that it would bring it injustice to take her weapon away from it's rightful home. While it was the lowest seated possession, it wasn't long before she blasted threw the ranks and replaced the current captain.

Short Bio: While looking nothing like the great Yuroitchi Shioen, she is infact, her great niece. After Yuroitchi passed on, the Noble family went to her mother, and then one her mother died, it became Aribell's. And of course, being noble means that by the time she was ten, she had all the basic training of an average student graduating from the academy, though her enthusiasm prevented her from moving very quickly through the ranks. Eventually, she made it to vice captain, where she plans to stay until someone forces her to be captain.
