 Dream crawled out of her den. She stretched then yawned. She had slept the day away and dusk was approaching. Now would be a good time to catch some of the smaller animals that came to her pond to drink. She quietly tip toed from the brush in front of her den and peeked out. Ahhh there was a rabbit and it was a good sized one. She watched it with the glittering eyes of a killer. The rabbit became alert so Dream hunkered down waiting for the rabbit to become relaxed again.

Rather than relaxing, the rabbit started suddenly, hopping off away from the pond as a male Leawyn stepped out of the brush, leaning down to drink from the cool water. He seemed utterly relaxed himself, not interested in what game might be around, or even if there was a vixen that had been stalking some dinner. Once he was done drinking, he settled down near the water's edge, trailing one foot in.

Dream gaped at the male. That b*****d! I'll make him pay for chasing away my dinner! She growled lowly as she tip toed through the bushes. She hunkered down waving her tail. Her eyes gleaming in the fading light. Her growl becoming louder as she prepared her attack. She sprang nimbly onto the males back. "Jerk! You just cost me my dinner!"

In an instant, he was twisting free of her attack, rolling straight into the water in the hopes that it might throw her off. As he broke the surface again, he looked at her, fur dripping wet and his eyes at once annoyed and amused. "So I'm to take its place?"

Dream glared at the male. "You are intruding on my territory! Or is your nose so broken that it can't catch my scent all over this pond?" She asked in a tone that dripped with sarcasm.

"Silly me," Kirra said dryly, the amusement still in his eyes as he made his way back to dry land. He shook vigorously, not caring if he happened to get her wet in the process. "I thought you'd share."

Dream jumped back to avoid getting wet. She glared at him. "Well you thought wrong! And you cost me my dinner. Now I have to go out into the forest and try to find dinner." She gracefully walked past him flicking him across the nose with her tail as she passed by.

If there was one thing Kirra really liked, it was a confident, self-sufficient vixen. As she flicked her tail at his nose, he chuckled softly, moving to pad after her. "I suppose, since I obviously caused you problems, the least I can do is help to fix them?" he suggested, the grin apparent in his voice.

Dream stopped then looked at him batting her eyes. "You wish to help me find dinner?" She asked so sweetly that her tongue dripped with honey.

Kirra considered her, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully for a moment. That tone... so sweet it was almost cloying... that wasn't the vixen he'd seen so far. And he may be a relaxed reynard, but he was far from a stupid one. However... there was something to be said for playing into her hand. "I'd like to help you find something, at least," he offered, with a wink.

Dream's demeanor changed suddenly. "Well I don't need your help! I'm not no vixen in distress. I'm quite capable of taking care of myself." She started to walk away flicking him in the nose with her tail once more before disappearing into the bushes.

Oh yeah... that was definitely his type of vixen right there! Ignoring her snarling words, he bounded after her, careful to keep his steps as silent as a hunter while he tracked her down. He wasn't particularly hungry for meat, but to see her in action... that was something he was ravenous for.

Dream was award that the male was following her. She could smell him. She smirked as she padded silently through the bushes. Now what shall we try for? It's dusk and most animals are getting ready to sleep now. She thought to herself as the silent killer made her way through the forest. She twitched her nose catching the scent of a rabbit nearby. Perfect. I just hope it's a nice fat one. She became more stealthy as she weaved through trees and in bushes. She came to the edge of a small clearing.

Following behind her, it didn't take much for Kirra to pick up the scent as well. He settled back well into the brush, but able to see clearly, and hunkered down, keeping himself still and silent as he waited for her to pounce, to kill and feed herself. All the wild, his dark eyes on her and the clearing, he wondered if she was as magnificent as he was imagining.

Dreams eyes caught her prey. Come a little closer. She waited patiently seeing the rabbits den rather close to where she hid. She was down wind so the rabbit would not catch her scent. It seemed forever before the rabbit made it's way towards it's den. Her eyes glittered with intent on her kill as her body arched beautifully ready to spring. The rabbit stopped lazily feeding on the grass outside it's den. Perfect. She launched her attack landing gracefully on the rabbit. Her teeth finding her target, the rabbits backbone. She gave it a fierce shake snapping the rabbits spine. She wasn't one to toy with her prey. She knew he was watching from the shadows. She threw a smirk towards where she knew he was before trotting back towards her pond her fresh kill in her mouth.
