Newmoon Island
DESCRIPTION -
Newmoon Island is one of a pair of islands in northern Sinnoh. A small, rocky island, it has a crystal-clear lake in the center, which is surrounded by a small forest of trees. The lake is in the shape of the new moon, which is probably how the Island got its name. While this may sound pleasing to the eye from an aesthetic view-point, the Island's sole inhabitant is rather reclusive, only stepping out of the shadow when someone approaches...

Newmoon Island is located in northwestern Sinnoh.
PEOPLE -
No known people to speak of, save for the brave sailor who ferries people here on occasion from Canalave City.
RESOURCES/EVENTS/PLACES OF INTEREST -
While the scenery is pleasing to the eye, there are legends that speak of a legendary Dark-type pokemon residing here. This pokemon is said to inhabit the realm of nightmares. Bad children are said to be sent here, unless they behave.
MYTH/LORE -
Darkrai, the legendary Dark-type pokemon, is rumored to reside here. It is said that Darkrai feeds on the essence of the living in order to survive, from where it dwells in the world of nightmares. Best be careful when approaching this particular legend...
